Yukine was intended to have a romantic route with Tomoya, but it was convoluted and confusing so it was dropped in favor of the gang and family sub-route instead. Which I would have preferred having a romance route with Yukine because she is best gril in Clannad. Out of the main heroines though, I'd have to say my favorite route is Kotomi.

Naoe, Yukine was meant to have a much more expanded route like Tomoyo's and Kyou's, but the story board team realized that her story wouldn't have worked very well, so they dropped her into a smaller optional route. Initially, you were meant to get into a romance with her like with the main heroines, but the story was convoluted and confusing, thus the reason why her route was dropped. Tomoya would've still been the main character. Interestingly, if you look at the PS2 Clannad box art, you'll see Yukine on the cover, denoting that she was intended to be a main heroine to go for.

Something that should have happened is that Re;Zero should have aired AFTER the LN ended. That way, it'd be a series that people could stick around for a while to see and it'd be much more in depth. I agree the anime wasn't a bad adaptation, missing some details, but overall it was a good adaptation. I'd give it an A--.

I'm probably late on this news like always, but 5pb is making a VN based on the LN series of Re;Zero. Now, I'm all for this, but I'll be highly if Nagatsuki just says: "Fuck all dem' Rem fanboys and Subaru x Rem shippers" and stops a Rem route from existing. Please don't do that Nagatsuki. However, at the same time, Rem had died NUMEROUS times saving Subaru while Emilia was off twiddling her thumbs in Re;Petite. In a whole, I blame Nagatsuki for this. Not that he isn't a good writer, Re;Zero is REALLY good.... until Subaru decides to cuck us all and go down Emilia's route instead of Rem's. Please Nagatsuki Tappei, if you ever see this, in fact even if you don't, MAKE AN ALTERNATE ENDING! Have Subaru choose Rem! Hell, even Ram is a better girl than Emilia, and Ram got less screen time than Emilia, IIRC. Though, the LN and manga is a lot better than the anime. My disappointing ending was before Clannad's publishing and Yukine was dropped as a main heroine. Y u do dis, Key? Y u do dis? I wanted to KMS when I heard that she was dropped because Yukine is best gril. That's my disappointing ending. Ended before it even began. Also, there is another disappointing ending.
