There are those who dislike playing old visual novels(vice-versa), or very short visual novels(vice-versa), so hope this list saves you time. Non PC-available games will be excluded. Nukige aren't included, and original release dates for Nukige are already listed in Tom's post.

Consider the audience for VNs: gamers basically. You need a PC to play most VNs. That limits your audience right off the bat. On top of that, most VNs worth playing are of considerable length. The need to sit and watch a screen for extended periods of time further turns away laptop gamers. Laptops aren't designed to be used like that; the ergonomics just don't work. That leaves people with dedicated home PCs.
Then consider typical gamer expectations of what a game should be. Gamer culture is focused on interactivity and gameplay elements. VNs are typically missing these.
Then consider the anime culture element. VN fans are mostly a subset of anime fans, which is problematic since anime culture is pretty synonymous with "not paying for content". To anime fans, VNs are graphically less interesting, further making VNs a difficult sell.
Add on to that the porn element. Most VNs have adult content. Again, the prevailing wisdom is that it's stupid to pay for porn. The porn element also prevents the games from being marketed in mainstream channels: e.g., review sites, retail outlets, gaming communities..
Now consider the target demographics for VNs: young adult males (with dedicated home PCs). This demographic is generally technologically savvy with a lot of time and not a lot of money. In other words, they're a bunch of pirates that won't pay for anything unless they absolutely have to.
Add all these factors together, and it's incredibly hard to market VNs to people.
Not even close, I'm from northern Europe. I just like to curl up in small spaces in, it feels comfy. Also my chair is so bad that I need to sit in creative positions. I would kill my back if I tried to sit straight the whole day.
The website is finally complete. The only small detail I need to add is Masaya's biography (the protagonist), which should be complete by tonight. That being said, I want to thank everyone that helped in its construction. The translation has now officially been moved to the ongoing project's section and I look forward to kicking things off after the holiday season ends.
In terms of recruitment, please don't hesitate to volunteer for positions if you feel you are up to it. While I am not actively seeking quality checkers/proofreaders at this time, asking about it won't hurt you in anyway. I noticed this one's been getting attention thanks to the translation going on over here so I figured I'd share my thoughts on the whole thing, see if more people get interested in it.
The translation is still ongoing and the progress can be found here. They're translating the routes that Wairu didn't do. I haven't seen any talk of them translating A after they're finished with S, though.
The Wairu partial is here and it covers the Common, Monshiro, Margit, Kokoro and Tsubame's Routes, plus Kosugi & Iyo's Sideroutes;

Hi, I decided to make an account here just to ask this question becuase I simply can't find a good place to make sure of it.
Is there a full translation of Majikoi S out there? I thought wairu was the only translation team but i'm hearing that some people played through it, there is also the possibility that they played it on the Japanese version though.
If the answer to that is no, is there currently a translation group working on it? In that case, do they have a site or something where I can check for updates?
Also are there translated versions for Majikoi A1-A3?
I'd really appreciate it if some kind soul out there could give me the latest update on this and recommend me the best translation patch for Majikoi S and A1-A3 (be it wairu or any other translation team).
Sorry for the noob questions but as a Majikoi fan I'd like to get the best experience possible and i'm not exactly up to date on it so I felt like this would be the best place to ask!
This is just my personal opinion, but try doing it like this:
Yukie - Chris - Miyako - Wanko - Momoyo
Momoyo includes epic stuff, certainly worthy of that final route feeling (even if you have Agave), Wanko route should be done at the later stages, definitely. The other three may more or less depend on what you feel like, though you may regret doing Miyako first.
Clannad is getting a much better translation this year and he has plenty of other stuff to tide him over until then. Steins;Gate, Majikoi, Umineko, Saya no Uta, and Little Busters are probably the best games there.
