It's technically not machine translation otherwise it would have been completed a long time ago, but it's still very, very bad. The Introductory Chapter patch that has been edited last year is still based on the supremely flawed and heavily mistranslated patch they released in 2014, just with a few corrections here and there and some better grammar. If that's the level of quality they're shooting for with the Closing Chapter, then yeah, just forget this project even exists.

I'll be In Tokyo from the 28th to 31st, will you still be chilling in Tokyo when I will be there? I'm doing an internship else where in Japan currently (Niigata), so that is the earliest I can come to Tokyo, since my internship ends the 27th of this month. 
 
On topic though. If your not interested in the cultural stuff, I can't help you out much. Since coming to Japan, I've spent basically all my time in a small town in Niigata since that is where my internship is located. Niigata is great for skiing, its rice, and some other traditional stuff and that's around it. So basically its most marketable aspects are its traditional aspects, and its winters; both things you stated you were not interested in. ;p

I prefer to use a walkthrough and pick my route before I start. I tend not to do the "bad endings" unless it contributes to the actual story. At first I just did my own choices, but this method screwed me up when I played through G-senjou no Maou. Though I do have fond memories of my very first route in my first ever VN, it was the neutral ending for Lilly in Katawa Shoujo - .

Well traveling is one of the things I love to do (specially on train and see different cities and places!) and knowing different places is one of the things I want to do on this trip, so if I "waste" a whole day doing that it's not a problem  
We have really really different taste, I would never do something like enter a webpage, arrange to meet people in another country and then hang out together with them, sorry but that's not something I like to do, not in my country and specially not in Japan  
I forgot about that guidebook from Ren, it will come handy I think, I will google more of those kind of stuff from different cities, maybe I can find interesting things. 

So like the titles says, when is the best time of the year to travel there and where ? I really dislike cold weather so preferably not in winter.
I do not care about special events, cultural things or festivals, I repeat I don't give a crap about those things and wont be seeing them, I'm really not interested in visiting japan and visit a zoo for example (that island with rabbits, usagi-shima I think it is??), museums or any of that crap, however I do care and want to see:

Electronics in general.
Anything about food.
Books and anything related to that.
Travel in their trains or public system and get to know as many places/prefectures as possible, for example travel for around 3 hours wont be a problem in fact I like that, for example if I go to tokyo I can travel without problem to saitama, kanagawa, chiba etc (i'm just saying random places that are close to tokyo I don't really know if it's possible to travel there or not or if going to tokyo is the best option.)
Maybe and just maybe visit a shintou...

How long is your stay? If it's only 1 week then stay in Tokyo, if 2, then you can visit another prefecture, etc..

I'm new to this site, and new to visual novels in general. So... hello! I've completed Fate/stay night Fate, and Unlimited Blade Works routes, playing the Heavens Feel route, and beginning Rewrite. I still don't know the 'best' way to play visual novels, and would like your opinions. I have been saving every time a new choice appears, and choose the option I think would be best. Afterwards (When presented with another choice), I would load back to the previous choice to read the optional dialogue. Unless my original choice was a dead end I wouldn't use the second choice I made as my 'main' playthrough. Is this a good idea, or not?

Ginseng tea has always done it for me. It's a bit bitter if you don't add any sugar, so I recommend drowning it in honey 'till it stops dissolving.

I'd love to try some in Japan, I'm sure it would taste better than what's readily available in our local areas by a landslide. Ah yes, teeth staining from drinking tea, I almost forgot about that. Such a shame, honestly I'm not too bothered by it myself, as I don't really care to have pure unnaturally white teeth, but of course I don't want it stained too bad neither. We definitely have to take that side-effect into account, it's actually recommended to brush your teeth after drinking tea to help combat that.
I've never actually tried black tea before, I have tried black Italian coffee however. I'll have to give it a go sometime.

Hi, everyone!
I've been busy (and still am to come extent) with a bunch of different stuff, so I haven't been as active on the forums as I would have liked to be these few months. This is just a simple random question that popped in my head while I was drinking some, and I was wondering how many of you also drink green tea on a regular basis, and if so, what is your favourite blend?
Personally, I do drink green tea on a regular basis, have been since last year. I probably don't drink as much water as I should, so I decided to try out green tea to help bring balance to that, to which it has!
My favourite so far, is just normal green tea with lemon, although honey and camomile comes quite close. I do enjoy jasmine tea at times also, however my significant other disagrees with my taste on that, saying it tastes like she's drinking perfume to her, to which I can somewhat see what she means, but I happen to like it.
So what about you? What are your favourite blends? I'd love to know, and possibly get some ideas on what different ones I could try sometime.
These are the blends I've tried so far in no particular order:
Green Tea Lemon Jasmine Honey and Camomile Orange and Lotus Flower I look forward to reading some of your opinions. I'd like to add that if you haven't tried green tea yet, I would definitely recommend it. Even if you don't drink regular tea (which I do not) you should definitely give it a go if you're interested. Not to mention it's very healthy, especially compared to normal tea where you add milk and sugar. If you're someone like me who struggles to drink a lot of water throughout your day, it's definitely a pretty good viable alternative to ensuring you're properly hydrated and not drinking too much fizzy.

Currently lvl 10, in Russia (where the app cant be accesed via google play) everyone playing it, the whole city's gyms was captured in two days, we even met some cute girls from our team (Red team for the win ) wich helping us defend a gym nearby with her 400cp Jolteon
Overall it is awesome, the only downside it is still kinda buggy, i hate it when you cant beat gym-holders and they stuck at 1 hp =(

I collected a grand total of 22 bids to do the front site coding, and for what we wanted, the bill was going to be between $7000 for a relatively inexperienced coder to $25,000 for a mid-to-top-ish tier developer. (Just going to stop and point out that @Nayleen would absolutely qualify as top-tier, and consistently donates an unbelievable amount of time to help us out. We're very, very lucky to have you, Nay. Thank you for all you do.) I'm scoping out custom coding to get a custom plugin to pull from a custom games DB and feed into a design template we can modify at any time. So that's where we're headed. At some point when things settle down and I can publish an updated site financial report, I'll try and put all of this down on paper. But, yeah, we're saving up for that. This is not the final solution.

(20 hour game)   Estimated release:~Summer 2017   “Whether friend or tyrant, I will become a King!"   Welcome to the Rift, a dimensional tear located in Canaan where the ancient gods were created and where you must prove your worthiness to lead the world of men. You have allies and the training needed to fight, but nothing will prepare you for the wonders and horrors of the unstable plains in the Rift.     Manage Respect, Relationships, and Mental will when making decisions. Assigning team members to missions best suited for them. Discovering weaknesses to epic enemies through investigations. Collecting real world lore and in game lore by discovering hidden items. Unlocking secrets of the past by collecting memory gems. Making timed decisions and avoiding damage in high intensity situations. Leveling up your characters to specialize in unique skills.     Time   In the game, everything will cost time to complete and characters may be away, unable to do a task available. Completing certain missions and training will gain you very limited talent points to specialize your character in lore friendly ways.     Respect   You are a leader. You must earn the respect of your soldiers! Decisions you make and the success of those decisions will affect the confidence your allies have in you. If you fail a lot, they will lose confidence and go rogue during critical decisions. You may even lose command. A true Pharaoh never loses command…       Kinship   While how successful you are in decision making and your sense in the field affects the way they see you, it does not help one bit on how they think of you as a person. In order to get on their good side, you must appeal to their innate personalities. One cannot please everyone so make your choices wisely. It is worth noting that Kinship affects how allies act when not around you or when not commanded.     Stability   You are the strongest. Unfortunately, you are also the most flawed… You have an issue with Dementia and you must suppress these voices throughout your time in the Rift. The tradeoff is considerable though because when you were young, and you let the voices run wild, you could do things others could only dream of. In these dark days, will you allow your mind to slip in order to wield more power or will you avoid such pleasures and rely on knowledge of self?     The rift has stood for thousands of years, since the day Nun arrived from the planet Nibiru. Located in the barren lands of Canaan, this void was created to keep the outside world uncontaminated while Nun worked on his creations. He spent centuries studying the humans and when he figured out this world, he created ancients similar to the life found on his home planet. They warred with each other inside the Rift until only 3 families remained. When they left the Rift, Nun used a stability gem to alter reality and hide the incomprehensible damage done. But now, thousands of years since the great sundering, Nun has created another race of beings to combat his creations from ions past. In order for them to prove themselves, they must survive the Rift, as it were during the time of the ancients. Stability is no more! Can the mortals survive the Trials of the Rift?   There are many different types of quests in Black Sands. We will briefly go through some of them to better understand the gameplay mechanics involved in each. In Black Sands, time, health, and deployment all work against you as you stride to prepare yourself for the final battle with Nun.   Scouting - designed to seek new quests exclusively. Minimal danger   Investigation - A quest that requires discipline and perception. Player must decipher material and decide what is important and not. Proper investigation rewards secrets.   Tracking - This is an extremely heavy skill check category that requires quick decision making and a little luck. These missions are available only once before they go back into the quest pool.   Social - This is a quest where you develop relationships with the other characters and learn more about them.   Instant Events - Automatically happen when certain criteria are met. May have nothing to do with prior tasks.   Group Events - The entire group must participate. Nun will go over your notes and inspect your facility whenever this happens.   Epic Events - Storyline Events that are either triggered by actions or chose by the player. These tend to have more decision making then other events.   Exploration - A quest designed to explore unknown locations. These quests have no prior knowledge so player must use their wits to move forward. The farther you get, the better the rewards. These missions can be ended at any time but there is no guarantee you can return.     This game is directly inspired by Dragon Age and Telltale. Their strong narratives and crucial game changing decisions inspired me to design a visual novel unlike any before it.   Additional motivation was found in the way Hollywood depicts middle eastern and Saharan people. We do a lot of research and use annotations in game to teach the actual history behind the fantasy of our world.   Future   We will be converting all sprites to Live2d and making them look a bit more realistic and 20x more brutal. Adding Eng VAs is even more insulting than censoring games.

Outside Context Problem.
Specifically, a VN with something that is literally outside of the genre (sudden sci-fi-esque alien invasion in a fantasy setting, or magic in cyberpunk for example). An OCP must be something totally unforeseeable for the entire setting, not just some lost magic in a fantasy or the in-universe reveal of the existence of monsters in a horror VN. The real life example is the European invasion of Native America: the Maya did not even aware of the possibility of Steam engine and guns powder when the Spanish roll over them.

Edit: A suggestion: what you are looking for might be 'genre shift' in tags on vndb.  Yumina is the only one that fits in the translated VNs, I think. 

Confession: I really am tempted to leave America for Canada. Mom's having issues with kidney stones and she can't get a single doctor to help her since medicaid can't cover it. Seriously, we can afford to give corporations massive tax breaks and spend an enormous amount of money on war, but we can't afford to provide good healthcare benefits for poor people. Holy Shizzle. Real life literally just got real and I was gone from Fuwanovel for over 4 months now.... Well things, happened.... Some baka in real life decided they would play my terrible route full of fillers, tsundere moments and fanservice, spent almost 10 years trying to beat it, had H-scenes with me for god knows how many times by now, and next thing you know, this guy is marrying me and achieving a goddamn vanilla ending and then, more H-scenes. You get the full picture. 
Long story short, I got married so I needed maybe 3 months away from everything to do whatever else I needed to do as a bachelorette before walking down the aisle, so that was away from VNs/Fuwa/Video games for now and just enjoying living the life. There were lots of it, to the point I used the 3 months paid time off I had saved up... If that wasn't over, adjusting to a new home where I'm sharing it with a man was quite the transition. 
But anyways, I think I should be fine for now and I get to cheat on my husband now playing more VNs (lol he doesn't care, he knows I love them) and getting involved again with this wonderful community.
