Can you describe more about what exactly is going on? When you start a new game of Sengoku Rance, you should have points to spend based on your previous clears of the game, and then a way to choose the difficulty. Is it skipping this entirely and going straight to the game?

My roommate is the whitest guy you would ever meet and he's doing fine learning japanese. It may or may not be easier, but in the end it simply comes down to how much effort/time/thought you are putting in to it. Much like learning anything. I personally learned Japanese in the worst way possible, but I eventually ended up somewhere by putting in enough time and effort and embracing failure.

Just start and see where it takes you. If it's not something for you, you'll end up dropping it.

That's a pretty generic error report which pretty much just tells us the game encountered an exception and is now closing. Your computer is having issues loading the next line, which may be calling an animation sequence or something, or the next line is broken which causes the game to close. I have the japanese version of the game, so I'm not sure if it's an error that occurs in the english one or not.

Hm. It appears ITH is unable to hook the game properly, and I couldn't find a custom hook for the game either online. You're out of luck unless you can find someone willing to create a custom hook for it.

Have you tried turning down the settings of the game? The game can be pretty laggy in the first chapter, and could crash if your computer can't handle it.

Have you tried downloading my plugins folder? Is anything else broken? It'd probably be a good idea to keep in mind that I use the japanese version of dracu riot though, and I don't really know what the english patch does.

The save data may be corrupted, deleting it may fix the problem.

Try selecting a different drop down box, to see if any of them capture all the text you are looking for.

Alot of the .dll used for the game there are broken. Have you tried repairing the files? If that doesn't work, could your anti-virus program perhaps be blocking the files from being installed? Hey there, from the main menu screen, please select the "options" button, and there should be a box there that says "FONT". From the scroll down box, select the font required to play the game. [Note, this is made on assumptions from other cs2 engine games, as I do not have the game in question].

No experience with the game in question... First error says that the game can't be run in the current environment. I don't know what NTLEA 0.92 is, but have you checked if someone has made a no region loader for the game, if it is in fact a region issue? I did a casual google search, and it seems downloads for the game come with a no region loader.

It's attempting to load an image file, when the error occurs, precisely 凛制服03c(中). I'm not entirely sure how to solve this issue other than re-installing to make sure all files are present and none are corrupt.
