  1. Oh please, don't show one of my secret weapon for my beloved lolis... Gwehehehehe... XD
  2. I see... I have much to learn my master... I'm sorry for being incapable... I let loose of my feelings... Bubuubuut its FMA!!! Just kidding... I loose my cool there for once... Hehehe... XD Thanks for reminding me to keep it cool... Hehehe... XD
  3. Sigh, I give up on you pal. Go fetch a book or something or at least make your mind open.
  4. Very very last explanation... In summary FMA was a masterpiece because the story was carefully created from plot, character, and conflict. The mangaka researched and analyzed before creating the manga. Please study literature before doing critique on a certain literature.
  5. Ok, this will be my last explanation. Realism: Superman in Man of Steel has a conflict whether to kill his own specie or not. Bizarre: Superman in the old movie was able to turn back time by spinning the whole world backwards out of nowhere without any explanation. Got it? FMA & FMA:B was realistic because it has good grounding of story and characters have right human reactions and back story.
  6. I have already explained the terms but you still can't comprehend. Sigh, I won't argue anymore.
  7. PLOT! Wehehehehe... Just joking I like PLIT or no sound at all if you know what I mean... XD Realism, means that the story is presented with real human experience (i.e. presented with issues that is present in ordinary humans and characters respond them in a human way). In contrary, bizarre means basically random stuff that has no basis and is not related to real human experience. Please stay awake in your literature class. Sigh, I can't handle mainstream people bashing rare master piece. P.S. There are animes that mimics real life literally and these genre is called slice-of-life... Damn please watch more animes and please read more stuffs.... Sigh... I shall meditate with lolis to take away my negative emotions... LOLI... LOLI.... LOLI.... LOLI!!!!!!
  8. FMA is literary good since it gives a realistic feeling towards human nature (issues regarding existentialism, morality, ethics, and psychology). It's good to have comedy/humor (fyi: comedy originally refers to a plot that ends with a marriage) every now and then to counterbalance some negative feelings. However too much humor is bad since it will go beyond the ordinary experience of a normal human person. In other words, too much comedy will make things go bizarre since it's unrealistic!!!! I demand moderate humor!!!! You just activated my Wild Bare mode!!!! I need lolis to recuperate my level 1 rage... XD
  9. Wow, katawa shoujo is really popular huh? I guess it's because it's free and is english ready. My first VN was true love. Yeah DOS game for the record! I stumble this game while searching for an H-game (specifically flash games). I really like the game play where in you hone your stats (you are to choose which activity you will do in morning, afternoon, evening to improve your intelligence, fashion, strength, or fatigue) and these things will decide which heroine you will end-up. I hope a visual novel will revive this game-play.
  10. H-game? H-games True love! The very classic vn dos game! XD snow sakura! Yume miru kusuri If my heart have wings Eidelwise Kira-kira Dear drops Period Shuffle All ages: Little busters Rewrite Both: Katawa Shoujo Those are just few...
  11. Yippee... He showed his dere side!!!! ヾ(。⌒∇⌒)ノ Yup I agree on your taste. As I have stated earlier, back story makes a character meaningful and triggers your empathy towards them. It gives a believable/near-realistic (because it explains their behavior) character that will let you be engrossed in the story. The right word for that literary technique is called characterization (building the character). XD
  12. I insist to play it at once! If you're doubting my taste read here: http://vndb.org/v44 ........ Just kidding, I can't force anyone... So play it when it reaches the finish line of your queue... XD
  13. I agree... Back story makes a character meaningful and triggers your empathy towards them. Have you tried Yume Miru Kusuri? If not, i recommend that to you since each character have deep back stories which will move you... XD
  14. I understand where you come from. But don't be a spoilsport, he only pertains to his ideal girl. I got 2 girlfriends even if I'm an otaku who loves loli. So otakus are not helpless people. You're always a negative person. I think you must relax your stiff shoulder and be hugged with my bear hug...if you're a loli girl... Come on show us your dere side once in a while... Gwehehehehe.... > <
  15. Do you mean the holistic factor or the characterization of the heroine? Yup, I agree that you will fall in love with heroines when her role was played well. However in this topic, we are asked what kind of character do you usually incline to? Or let me rephrase, what character type are you turned-on to? It's like asking if you're a opai person (big boob lover) or petanko person (flat chested lover)? I love flat chested girls!!!! XD
  16. These are the common types of heroines if you guys need reference:
  17. I like LOLI type character preferebly kuudere!!! I like cold type characters and then slowly open up to you... You know, playing hard to get in a genuine way.... XD An example: Tachibana Kanade from Angel Beats
  18. Hmm... I understand... You have a very sound argument... I was defeated logically... For your reward: Irusu Makina From Grisaia no Kajitsu
  19. I was stand corrected!!! @_@ Just kidding, though I accept the fact that 20-30 males buy expensive blurays/games. However this is mainly because they have work and can buy themselves those blurays and games using their sallary. I was partaining to manga readers, and anime viewers who are free to watch and buy a manga magazine with their own allowance.... XD Don't get me wrong guys that I don't like anime, manga, and visual novels. I just want to make a logic on why these things are like that. I actually love them all!!! And I don't care if they are "unrealistic" (age mismatched to characteristic) so long as I enjoy reading, watching, or playing with them!!!!!! I especially love lolis!!!!!!!!!!!! ヽ◕‿◕ノ My waifu... XD
  20. You have a point but I think you slightly misunderstand some things. Check my reply to Rooke first. As for western and eastern culture, I'm from asia (I won't tell where for privacy reason) and I also like intelligent-sarcastic-villainous types so your conclusion is a little bit wrong since it doesn't apply to all. Perhaps you're referring to liberated vs conservative. But bare in mind that their are different levels and types of "convservativism". Western culture can be "generalize" as liberated. I mean liberated as being able to easily grasp and follow the rules of human rights and have gender equality. Thus most western people are straightforward/frank. As for eastern people (including middle east and africa), the concept of "liberism/westernization" is not yet that openly embraced. They still remain in their old tradition depending on the place they live (I imply that culture are diverse). What I'm saying is you're right that the character in visual novel are reflected to culture but you're wrong that it is applied to all asians since culture is varied depending on the place. The characters in visual novel are refection of japanese culture mostly.
  21. It's a marketing strategy and an outlet to anti-social/bullied/problematic teenage to teenage at heart mangaka. Remember that people who watch anime and read manga/visual novels are mostly teenage male kids. They are the counter part of teenage flick movies/series which are adored by teenage females. It's like tapping the right nerves of humans in order to sell their product. Meanwhile, mangas are made by mangaka who submit their works to a publishing company. Weekly Shounen Jampu (aka shounen jump) is one of the famous publishing company that publishes different mangas from different mangaka who have a general genre which is of course by its name shounen (boy). Remember that humans have different copping mechanism for their problems. Mangaka found their coping mechanism by creating mangas. Thus it serves as an outlet for them keeping their sanity intact. This also applies to light novel and visual novels. Anime are usually derived from mangas, light novel, and visual novel. This is the reason why most stories are bizarre/unrealistic.
