Christfall got a reaction from VN-Angel in Lot's of Choices
Ever17 has a lot of choices, it lacks in the amounts of ending department however, if you don't mind. All ages and translated, the best game for beginners.

My best recommendation that fits what your need : If you can read Japanese, will be Root Double: Before Crime, After Days by the writer of Ever17. It has massive amounts of choices, 30+ endings. Oh, it is all ages as well. It uses a very unique choice system not seen in any other VN. Even if you can't I recommend you do it anyway with translation tools, it is just that good.

I just find it strange that people don't give much care about visual in a VISUAL novel.
Visual is not everything for me, but yeah, if it's suck, then it's likely that I will drop it soon or later (except that it has incredible story or such)

Christfall reacted to SilverLi in Do you delete VNs from your computer after you finish them?
I never delete any VNs. It is the same with anime. I want to keep a collection of it. If I ever want to read/watch it again I know I got it. Seriously I would't even bother saving One Piece and Naruto if I didn't planned to watch it again when I feel like it.

But so far as VNs go I just store it in a folder called "Visual Novels". I hide it in my uTorrentmap though. But my computer is personal and if I ever leave my computer unprotected and unlocked they will probably try looking for something more indecent than Visual Novels. Good thing you can create subfolders. I name it "Other" (a.k.a Eroge/nukiges). But why should I care anyway. My stuff and taste. I don't give a fuck.

Everything is organized in a way I like. Others probably hate it.

You need to change both. If the time zone is not in Japanese the error will popup when it tries to load a sprite.

Alternatively, just click this link, download the file, unzip it, place the exe in the game folder (but don't overwrite the old one) and just run it:

You need to change the time zone to Japanese as well in the regional and language settings and it shall get rid of the error. It is a common issue in all of Favorite's games (not just Irosekai) but this is a universal solution to them all.

There is also a patch that will also solve the issue (but for this one game only) but I'll need some time to find it, will update this post later if you still need it.

Ain't that the truth. This concept actually kind of shocked me when I first realized it was true. Early on I thought converting Japanese to English would just be business as usual since I would know both, until I actually started trying to do it. It still feels weird to me, because I understand what's being said while often not knowing how to effectively put it into an English context...

These days I have even more respect for translators than I used to.

Also, I shall have to visit that teamspeak sometime. It's always nice to be able to talk to others who appreciate favo stuff. Keep trying to get my best friend into visual novels but he resists despite showing an interest, so I don't have many people to talk about them with. Haha.

Christfall got a reaction from Blizzard884 in When did it happen to you? (When did you become a lolicon?)
Liking a girl that is younger in appearance (or doesn't look their age) shouldn't make you a Lolicon. I like most lolis in general but I don't call or consider myself a lolicon because I also like Oppai and Traps. I also don't like a girl just because she's a loli, character stereotypes and personality are far more important. It is just much easier to like a loli as long as you are into cute things.    Lolis are typically divided into 2 categories : True Lolis : Lolis that are both underage and mentally immature, so it means all those below 10-years old or any who isn't of at least middle-school age (in other words, categorized as "children") fall under this. They are not someone to be meant to be look at in a sexual way.  Example : Just go out and pick any girl that is elementary school age or below   Legal Lolis : These are just lolis in appearance, but with a fully grown and matured mind of an adult (or a teenager at the very least) and is definitely not underage (if they aren't 700 years old already). Most Lolis (that have a route) in VNs are almost always implied to be this even though their personality suggests otherwise.  Example : Shinku (Iroseka), Komoe (Index), Tsumugi (Gaworare), Nymph (Soraoto)   All in all, don't be too serious about the issue and all is good.   Lolis are justice, all of mankind should hail them. (^∇^)
Image is not viewable to me, Shinku is the goddess regardless, if Iroseka/hika were translated one day we were going to have her statues and shrines built real quick. :>

Finished Irosekai and it was amazing I don't want to say anything but I loved the whole thing pretty much. I'll definitely be reading the FD at some point (not now) and then Astral Air... Why is Favorite's stuff so good?!?

In other news, and crazier news... I'm finally back to reading/playing Baldr Sky which I put on hold for quite a while due to fear. Overcoming fears is a necessary means to achieve greatness, right? I also picked up a few other VNs that seem interesting and started reading them... but I don't make a habit of playing multiple VNs at once so they are also on hold until my main focus shifts back to them. I'm rather whimsical. :/

Christfall got a reaction from madvanced in Thoughts on long common routes
Speaking of long common routes: there's Hoshimemo which is actually enjoyable (although a bit too long) and Iroseka as well just like Grisaia, but they are all entertaining in a sense and I actually don't mind except the skipping part taking too much time.

The golden rule here is still the characters and content, though.
