Eh. even if they have to start from scratch, if they commit to it I have faith majikoi translations would finish said project quickly and efficiently, they are a very fast team. All after their break of course, and should they choose to do so.

OK YEP. that works. the merger just made them bigger tlg files but extract converted them. thanks for all the help

I tried this. while tsujidou is listed as compatible the program is proving to be rather a nightmare for me to work with. I did some searching and found you need to run whale through the cmd? I tried that. (about 30 different ways) but always wind up with it just saying cannot find exwhaledat_v1.exe (or v2) or getting a big fat ACCESS IS DENIED. I went through several forums and apparently need visual c++ redistributale which I also installed. still nothing. so a VERY thorough explanation for how to use it (and that may still fail) or an alternate method, would be appreciated.

yo. I'm having an issue with some .dat files, from the game tusjidou-san no junai road by minato carnival, I tried Crage which failed, then extractdata, which was able to extract from the arc0.dat file just fine, unfortunately it didn't have what I was looking for, just a bunch of images for attack animations and such. But for some reason whenever I try to extract the other two files, arc1.dat and arc2.dat, it scans the file but comes up with 0 results, and these files are pretty big. like 1.5 GB each. I'm certain they have what i want in them. these are the only tools I have/ know of. Any info or tips would be appreciated. Edit: after fiddling with extractdata I got out about 15,000 ogg files around 1-4 kb each.... no idea what to do with that either.

Okay I had a realization, there's an uncensor patch. which means that someone extracted edited and put the edited images into a patch.... I've been looking for a method to extract the character sprites and backgrounds as PNG, BMP, etc. for majikoi and a few other games for about three years now, I once print-screened and edited the backrounds out to get sprites, which took FOREVER, and the quality wasn't perfect, it was ok, but kinda meh. they also got deleted when my last comp crashed. :| So who did the uncensor? cause I could really really REALLY use those files. better yet the tools used to extract them... assuming it's not way over my head. sorry for the word vomit.

I seem to recall some mention in the old thread of the uncensored images being released as a patch alongside, or as part of, one of the translation patches you guys are working on. is that an accurate statement? if so which patch was it? agave?

STILL ALIIIIIIVE.... nice. very nice. though at the same time it feels like... giving one more day with a loved one, who's death left you a destroyed and broken shell, knowing full well that you'll have to suffer it again.
