    No, the links are fine, as long as they're not going through cash-grabs. When er0gamer first asked me for the tools and how to use them, it was for La DEA, and he was just doing machine translations, and he pushed out SO many versions. Like 5 a day with the tiniest changes, just to get people to go through his cash links for every "version," that's what really pissed me off.
     
    Since then other people joined and started doing some of it manually, which is good, but he still annoyed me right from the start. Eushully is I think my favourite VN company, so I'm entirely in favour of their games getting translated. Sell it to a publisher, take donations for your work sure, just don't force people through cash links for a download link. If they just changed their delivery method a bit I wouldn't have any problems with them. I held back releasing the tool updated for Rhapsody because of that, but Rhapsody didn't add very much, so nearly all the files were decompilable anyway, and so it seems they're doing Rhapsody too.

    /HWN-1C*0@17D170:SiglusEngine.exe Not even sure how you got your ITH to load with the game properly. My newest ITH keeps trying to put in a broken hook and crashes the game. Had to mod the profile DLL to stop it crashing. But ah well, that hook should work for you.

Has some gameplay in the form of battles, but you can't lose them and they don't take too long. There's a translation on this forum which should be out in some months. I really like it.     https://vndb.org/v13188- Sengoku Koihime. Made by BaseSon, same as above, but set in the Sengoku era. Main char in this one is the nephew of the protag in the above. Just as his uncle time-slipped to Sangoku era, the protag here time slips to the Sengoku era. You follow Oda, and Konami is the best girl. Doesn't have any gameplay. Really nice VN. Hope they make a sequel, and not go down the Moeshouden route of Sengoku, because those are pointless.

I personally don't think it's that great (I think Sengoku Rance was terrible, as an fyi), but it is popular, and it's basically just like Rance, in that you start off with territories, and you expand out taking more areas. You can choose your starting faction from many of the biggest clans at the time. All SLG gameplay here.
     
    https://vndb.org/v12260- Again, not specifically the Sengoku era, it's set in the 1800s. ChuuShingura is a famous story, you can read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forty-seven_Ronin. No gameplay. It follows the real story very well, but also throws in some time-slipping stuff. It is pretty faithful to the original for what it does, and does throw some really interesting connections to the real story. Hashimoto's story for instance with Ohatsu, compared to their real versions (don't want to spoilerz it). And I have to say, the pacing and the story are amazing. I rate this as the best VN I've ever played actually. I was really blown away at how they managed to keep the story interesting throughout, without it getting boring, pacing very well done. It's entirely kinetic, very long, and there's very few H-scenes in it, which is really a plus in my opinion, as it didn't really "corrupt" the story (too much) for the sake of sex. Really really well-made. Again, it's old-timey Japan, all about samurai and the code of the samurai, and seeking revenge.
     
    https://vndb.org/v12033- This one is a bit more of a stretch maybe. It's an SLG like Sengoku Rance, but set on the world stage, not just Japan. You go around conquering the world, and each faction has heroes from all times in it. The English faction has King Arthur and the Round Table for instance. America has Christopher Columbus and Billy the Kid. EU has Napoleon, Da Vinci and Marie Antoinette. China has Lu Bu and Sun Tzu etc etc. So it goes all over, it's not just swords, there's magic and everything too. Again, all SLG gameplay. It's not bad, there's also an English interface translation for it on HongFire.

    God damn. Just spent a LONG time trying to get the decompressed exe working. Managed to dump it and find the OEP, but this fucking packer hijacks hundreds of system calls. Was replacing them manually with their proper calls, but then after ages I realised the stack isn't restored properly (and likely a bunch of values not set correctly either). There's no room to add to esp after any of the calls, and I jsut really can't be bothered to have every single call jump elsewhere to fix the stack. So yeah, gg.
     
    I wanted to unpack the exe so I could modify things like the font. The game is currently waytoo restrictive with text space, and I don't think you can come to any kind of good solution for cutting text size down. I mean for things like medals and UI etc. So good luck with that.

    They're in DATA1.ALF (and the append too). The SC* and SP* files are ADV text. The other bits and pieces are in the initialisation files. STINIT for stages, ZOINIT for zones, SKINIT for skills, AIINIT has mission requirements etc etc etc.

    I ran into this channel the other week, and I think they're by far the most useful videos I've ever found on YouTube. Ignoring all the <N2 stuff, but the N2 and N1 playlist of videos are great.
     
    Specifically:




     
    There's a whole bunch of other playlists too, for N3 if you really want, more for N2 and N1, including vocabulary, and a bunch done in English which are more simple than the above, with some basic vocab. Even have a

    The original (Koihime Musou) is only a Shu route, where the protag takes the place of Liu Bei. Shin Koihime Musou has Shu, Wu, Wei routes and an "Other" route, and you don't take the place of the rulers, so Liu Bei, Cao Cao and Sun Jian are all in the game. So yeah, it's a lot lot bigger.
     
    Only thing worse in Shin Koihime, in my opinion, is the ending. I like the original ending so much more.

    I do think they should be left out, I think it's terrible to leave them in. Look at any professional translation work (again, outside of some anime subtitling like Crunchyroll and possibly manga stuff) and they're all omitted, always. The consensus is to omit them, and I agree with that. You're supposed to be translating the work, you're not translating it very well if you have to still rely on words that only people who know the original language understand. Why not just keep the whole thing in the original language? Leaving them in is an excuse for being lazy, and an excuse to not develop the characters' personalities or emotions enough through the writing to let the audience understand their relationships. If the suffixes were required, then how in any other language that doesn't use familiarity suffixes (i.e English), can we make any assumptions about the depth of a relationship between characters?
     
    So they're not integral at all, you just have to express the intimacy in a different way, in a way which is normal to the target language. That's what translating is about. Look at any of the well-translated works, and you'll find none of them have those suffixes, and conversations are re-written, extended/shortened to fit with the language. Square-Enix for instance have a very good in-house translation department (despite what you think about the games or the stories themselves). Go play the undub of FFX, so you have JP audio and English subtitles, or the recently-PC-released FFXIII and FFXIII-2, and you can see in how many places they quite widely stray from the original, and the ending result is a game that's much more natural in English.
