  1. I can't get it to work myself, my edited one won't show up. Dunno why. Hope you have more luck.
  2. They are there: And inside wm_title: .mio files are audio, you don't need those. It's the .eri files (image files) that you want, and the converter works with them.
  3. Check the stuff on http://www.entis.jp/eri/ There's a photoshop plug-in, but I don't know if it works anymore since it's from 2004. You can use 恵理ちゃんコンバーター to convert images between BMP and ERI though, and that works. Inside system.noa there are 3 more .noa archives you can open full of more .eri. All the config stuff is in there I think, it's hard to tell. EDIT: Yeah this looks like it, here's ID_CONFIG_SYSTEM_FRAME: There's also ID_CONFIG_SCREEN_FRAME you'll need to edit. The title text is in ID_TITLE_LOGO inside wm_title.noa.
  4. I put the mangled name into http://freaka.freehostia.com/charset2.php and then searched for some of that hex in the script.noa itself to find the original name. Found it, and coped it into http://freaka.freehostia.com/charset.php and it displays correctly as UTF-8.
  5. It's because that filename is wrong like I said. That's not the filename the game is looking for. It can't find the script file, so it can't start. If going full JP mode doesn't work, then I dunno. Couldn't Crass extract the correct filename either? EDIT: Ok I got it, it's actually called 共通ルート.xml in UTF-8. Apparently the tool can't handle UTF extraction, don't know why. Re-name the file, and it can compress the file properly:
  6. No expectations, doesn't look that good to me. One rule around anything Japanese is to ask the question "Is it set in a school or have a large amount of time spent in one?" and if the answer is yes, it's shit. I was never interested in the gameplay of Baldr games, so that isn't a plus for me either. I like their website though.
  7. I don't know about Crass, but the tools I linked can do it. Click on the New button (the piece of paper), and then right-click on the file list area, and select ファイルリストに追加, add the files you extracted from script.noa (and your new edited .xml), click the red arrow button that says アーカイブ化して保存 and then put it in the game folder where the original script.noa is.
  8. Yeah, and you can add the file back to create a new script.noa. The filename is wrong though so it doesn't actually work as-is, don't know how to fix that. Going fully JP might fix it, dunno.
  9. Is it? I'm on the fence about trying it. I like murder/mystery/horror type things, but how important actually is the "game" here? How does it compare to Umineko say? Sell the game to me.
  10. LET ME SAVE DURING THE FUCKING ADV SCENES CHARASOFT YOU CUNTS, AND DON'T MAKE RIGHT-CLICK ADVANCE THE FUCKING TEXT! About sums up my experience with what bad UIs can do to me. I can't specifically remember a good one though, just a bad one.
  11. Crass should be able to do it. EDIT: Yep, the official tool is linked on the TLWiki, handles the game perfectly well: http://www.entis.jp/gls/utility/noa32v109.lzh
  12. Oh is Caprese the male? I thought it was the other way around.
  13. frc is absolutely right. She's saying that women(/girls if you prefer) just want to see that you know you made a mistake. 顔しる just means "to make a face." The のって here just means "things like," so "a face like you made a mistake." More literally it says like "don't apologise, doing a 'my mistake' face is ok, for girls," with the more fluent meaning above.
  14. And you think AP has no bias? Associating yourself only with people who think similarly to you is just stupid, and only seeks to narrow your own worldview. A default sub like news or worldnews has, like you said, people on both sides. So what's the problem? If you want to know as much as you can about an issue and actually get an informed opinion, why not look at both sides and make up your own mind? Instead of raging at what you disagree with and secluding yourself with what you already agree with.
  15. Why? As opposed to going to a single news website which has its own bias, doing the work of its funders? I mean, at least people post links from all over news websites and post from both the left and right. Reddit's sort of inherently biased in its young userbase, which are naturally more on the left, but yesterday after this whole thing happened /r/the_donald had more active users than /r/news did. So that shows a pretty big right leaning as well. It also gives you stories you wouldn't find on your single news website either, stories from other countries outside your own that they don't deem "big" or "important" enough to run. And at the end of it all, they link to news websites, it's not like they make the news up on reddit (though some titles can be misleading), so I don't really see the issue.
  16. This. It's just another case of Japan fucking things up. It's not nearly the first time and won't nearly be the last time. They create some potentially interesting back-stories, where it looks like it could be an expanse and interesting world, and then just go "LOLNOPE SLICE OF LIFE BABY. HERD U WANT IT SET IN A SCHOOL TOO? NP FAM!" Yeah, they said the whole point of Eiyuutan was to build hype back up in the series, get people talking about it again and maybe some more newcomers, in preparation for this Kakumei release as the "real" next game. Since Eiyuutan was just slice of life crap, I really hope Kakumei is good and actually has a story (ala first two Koihime and Sengoku), because I loved their previous releases.
  17. For Python 2.7: http://pastebin.com/TVCqQG7Z - Run it from a cmd as "script.py <filename>" Sprites are in st.ypg, but probably not as you expect, and it's also 6.6GB so it'll take a while. I can't do PNG cause it's all weird and I don't understand it, so the images are saved as BMP instead. If ExtractData works just use that instead anyway. Like I said, they're in st.ypg.
  18. Hex and Sjis are just representations of numbers. The data is the same.
  19. If you don't want to bother going into extracting files, you could use a text hooker which automatically copies things to clipboard, and make a program to paste that. Looks like even AutoHotkey can do it. You won't get the full 100% script, and it'll take you time holding Ctrl to skip through a VN, but may be easier and save you time in the long run.
  20. As far as I remember, Aroduc wanted to get a job at Eushully or something. He contacted them about Kamidori, but either got blanked or rejected for whatever he wanted. It was after that that he went to make that kickstarter, then got turned down again. I could be completely wrong, but that's what I heard, or thought I heard. He changed the name of the section now to Battle Moon Wars 2 anyways.
  21. What happened to "good art is a must?" Every single character is the same person. That'd freak me out.
  22. Yeah, and he didn't like the game while doing it. But the main reason is what happened after Kamidori. You missed his whole kickstarter drama? He said he won't go back to Eushully after that.
  23. He won't, he hates Eushully. All their games are translate-able, no tech issues.
