I've never been a huge fan of "about me" pages. It's hard to define an existence in a few short paragraphs, but I'll try and give you a brief overview. You're better off talking with me sometime... you'll learn a lot more about me, plus I'll get to befriend someone new in the process.

I'm a college graduate, my profession being linguistics and teaching English as a second language. I've studied in Japan multiple times and it's my deepest ambition to return there (probably forever) and teach. I know early-intermediate Japanese, in addition to fluent German and basic proficiency in a handful of other languages. In addition to my linguistic ability I'm quite a geek... I know several programming languages (mostly web-based) and can take apart / put together most hardware with little trouble. My geek level is rather high!

Aside from that I spend my free time gaming (console or PC), reading, writing, studying languages, watching anime, or any number of other things. I enjoy skiing and kendo in terms of sports, and I'm pretty decent at both. I enjoy a good scotch or whiskey when the moment strikes, as well as the company of friends both far and near. I tend to be pretty laid-back overall... a mentality I try and spread since there's no sense in stressing out over everything in life.

My first visual novel I think was "Nocturnal Illusion" although I only remember bits and pieces of it since I played it so long ago. The first one to really hook me though was "Snow Sakura" which I still love playing through today. I got captivated by the stories and the humor and I think the combination of both is what really drew me in. I spread my love of that game around to several friends so I had more people to discuss it with, and from there the rest is history!
