HKO2006 got a reaction from Infernoplex in Best of ErogameScape エロゲー批評空間 1995 - 2016
Copied the complete lists (include both erogame and all age games) from ErogameScape to Google spreadsheet Best of ErogameScape エロゲー批評空間 1995 - 2016
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DV8n4SjUS5UtoJtWZmgG2eMXNX8eS2iy7gcIXb5J4mI/edit?usp=sharing
Mdn = rating median, SD = standard deviation, Data = number of rating , Total = number of ratings + reviews without rating.
Cyan means rating median >=80. Green Search VNDB means it is all age.
To sort/filter out entries with few ratings, first click row C to Sort Z -> A, then click Total, Filter by condition -> greater than (or equal to) e.g. 10.
Click Search VNDB to ...duh! (learnt from http://stackoverflow.com/a/32633193/5346592). One thing though, if there is (非18禁), (PSV), etc at the end, the search doesn't work properly. Any idea how to make the formula to ignore them? Fixed with multiple substitute (learnt from http://stackoverflow.com/a/16490858/5346592) and https://exceljet.net/formula/cell-contains-one-of-many-things (add { }, =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH({"(非18禁)","(PSV)"},A3))=TRUE) Fixed with a punch of IF.
Save to your own Google drive for slightly easier usage (no need to sort a row before using filter).

HKO2006 got a reaction from Kawasumi in [GIGA,2000]Baldr Bullet and Baldr Bullet Trial Edition ~Survival Version~
First time TLing a VN (also solo atm) so please forgive me not knowing too many things about this.
    Project Introduction
Originally started off TLing the regular edition, found out there is a trial edition, figured why not TL the trial first?
Baldr Bullet Trial Edition ~Survival Version~ https://vndb.org/v306 which is the official Taiwan traditional Chinese trial edition. For more info, check this review written in 2004. http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/917206-baldr-bullet/reviews/68908   Images and videos at bottom.
    Progress
Since it is just the trial edition, there are only 5 tutorials (only 127 lines in total), the exe and the UI images to be TLed (though unfortunately I don't know how to do the last one).
The tutorial scripts files are done. Basically need editing and should be good to go (ignoring the UI images).
The regular edition though, is a tough one. For some reasons, random errors/crashes are generated if the byte length of the script file exceeds certain byte (for instance, 36 byte for the intro.scr). This made TLing much more difficult as it usually takes more words and bytes to convey the same meaning in English than in Chinese (the release I TL). As you can image, I have to shrink the lines (which is painful for me to do as I tend to keep every meaning) also making the writing less appealing. After a mouth of trying though, I found that I can edit the game exe to shorten the names like 蕾貝卡:「 to a single fullwidth R, effectively saving 8 bytes each time a character speaks, hopefully will relieve the stress to shrink the text.
    Recruitment
Editor for the trial edition (only 127 lines). Comment on the sheet and/or reply here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1t7NiTWLtAOiRNPKDgGhc_FiRfeR2Gm14k6H8NCLt_kY/edit?usp=sharing
Anyone who knows how to edit .grp files (the UI images). In hex mode, the file signature reads gr2. CRASS can extract the images to bmp but I have no idea how to compile them back to grp (gr2) files.
English Windows users. I use traditional Chinese Windows so need help to test how the text will be shown in a English Windows. <-Maybe a closed beta?
    Extra relevant information
Again, first time doing TLing so not sure if this Google Sheets distributed approach is a way to go OR should just stick with the good old dedicated members approach.

HKO2006 reacted to Eclipsed in VNDB Tips n' Tricks
Heya Fuwanovel, Eclipsed here, ready to do another trolly trolls filled with pure enlightenment and innocent funzies.

First, let's talk about VNDB: Vector Newton Digimon Battlefield.

With this site, you can diary-style all of the Visual Novels that you've read over the course of your career.

     I. Linking your VNDB profile to Fuwanovel
"Want your profile & sidebar to look sexy (and taller) while roaming the forums? Load it up with your VNDB!"
Create your VNDB account over at https://vndb.org/ Go to your VNDB profile, make note of your ID number, then go to your Fuwanovel profile -> Edit Profile and input that number under the VNDB section (without the letter "u") You can also link other things such as your MAL and Steam!sdfdsfsfs
II. Commentating on your listed Visual Novels
"Want your VNDB list to look SEXY (& cluttered wall-of-texty) as hell?"
Tick the Visual Novel you want to comment on "Set Note" Type in your comment "Update"

III. Rating Visual Novels with "Fractionals" (cr. palas), Because Whole Numbers Are Too Mainstream & Hipster
"Sometimes, you just wanna rate things the SEXY way using decimals!"
Go to your desired Visual Novel's profile. Select "Other" from the voting menu. Input your desired score, ranging from 1.0 to 10.0 (one decimal place only!)
    IV. VNStats!
    "It's all about dem stats."
"Noslyl from Reddit made VNStats, a cool site that hooks into VNDB's api to analyze its data. It gives some broad data on VNDB's overall voting habits and then it allows you to dig deeper and see data on individual VNs, tags, character traits, and users of VNDB.  My favorite feature of the site is the way it gives you an analysis on the VNs you've voted on and your own reading habits. " -Decay
    V. The English-only Pleb's Odyssey for the TL'd Vector Newtons (Search Filtering for Translated Visual Novels) cr. Nosebleed

VI. The Power of Chaos, Disorder, and... Randomness! cr. Final Chaos

Feel free to add any VNDB tips n' tricks that you think the public should know about, and I will compilethemtotheOPTM

HKO2006 reacted to Kaguya in 50 translated VNs you should read before you die
This list won't feature the VNs in order of "how good they are". Rating them would be way too much of a clusterfuck to me.
The VNs are not in their respective order. Meaning number 1 is not the best, and so on.

    1_CHAOS; HEAD

    2_Cross Channel

    3_G-Senjou no Maou

    4_Fate/Stay Night

    5_Forest
This Visual Novel is the easiest visual novel translated to get a bad ending without using a walkthrough- which just adds to the fun of it. It makes a massive amount of references to common literature, which makes it even better.

    6_Katahane
It may seem like an ordinary moege- the atmosphere is light, the story is full of cuteness, which you can note by the character design and soundtrack. It gets really good in the middle, and you'll be dying to know what happens in the end. A game with multiple perspectives, it's definitely one of the most enjoyable Visual Novels I've ever read.

    7 Majikoi

    8_Little Busters!

    9_Tsukihime
"You shouldn't tell lies that you can't even fool yourself with"

    10_Swan Song
    A post apocalyptic Visual Novel.

    11_Symphonic Rain

It may seem like your ordinary moege. Trust me, it's not.

12_Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo (and sequel)

    13_Sekien no Inganock
Steampunk. An atmosphere full of mysteries and references that will make your head blow up.

    14_Steins; Gate
A visual novel that deals extensively with time travel and it's consequences.

    15_Utawarerumono

    16_Fault: Milestone (1 & 2)

    17_Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

    18_Kara no Shoujo

    19_Umineko no Naku Koro ni

    20_Planetarian

    21_Ever 17
    Another top 10.

    22_Remember11
It lacks in the ending, but otherwise the story of this VN has enough to easily become one of my all-time favorites.

    23_Zanmataisei Demonbane

    24_Rewrite
"Could it possibly be rewritten, this fate of hers?"
Another one that enters the top 10.

    25_Narcissu

    26_Grisaia no Kajitsu

    27_Saya no Uta
Only if you enjoy dark and messed up settings.

    28_Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni

    29_Eien no Aselia

    30_Rose Guns Days (1 & 2)
There are small sections of gameplay on this one, but you can skip them by pressing the space bar, so this still qualifies.

    31_Sengoku Rance
I feel obliged to comment on this VN before suggesting it to anyone. It's an Alicesoft title, which speaks a lot for itself... If you don't know how it's going to be like, well.. Kind of tough to describe. Lots of sex, including comedy rape. Alicesoft tends to make the whole story a comedy until right near the end, where things actually do get serious. It's worth checking out, if you don't mind Rance's personality.

    32_Phenomeno
Want a short VN that can captivate you for their whole duration? Here is it.
Visual novel adapted from the youth horror novel written by Hajime Ninomae and illustrated by yoshitoshi ABe.

33_Ef- A Fairy Tale of the Two

    34_Dysfunctional Systems
Another one great for those who want short Visual Novels.

    35_Daibanchou
Another Alicesoft title. While Rouga is not near Rance's level when it comes to pissing off people, alicesoft's style is something which often doesn't please people.
    36_Yume Miru Kusuri
The endings pack quite a punch.

    37_Kikokugai- The Cyber Slayer

    38_Eden

    39_Hoshizora no Memoria

    40_Katawa Shoujo
Yep, it's somewhat overrated. Still, the fact that it is substantially easier for those who are starting to play visual novels to read should not be discarded, and overall, the story was good.

    41_World End Economica

    42_YU-NO

    43_Shikkoku no Sharnoth
Yep, there is a minigame on this one. If you download a save data you can skip the minigame, though. So it still qualifies. Another VN that enters my top 10.

    44_Muv Luv Alternative
The first Muv Luv didn't have enough to enter this list. You should still read it, though~
    MLA is definitely awesome.

    45_Dangan Ronpa

46_Comyu - Kuroi Ryuu to Yasashii Oukoku

    47_Hanachirasu
