BTW if anyone is still wondering,I had the exact same problem as the opening post and as for a fist idea, I tried AppLocale on the Start.exe (didn't help), then on Kinetic.exe (didn't help). After this I gave up on AppLocale and switched to Japanese non-Unicode stuff,and that solved it. But I have two minor problems besides this. The first is that if I start the game up from two different PCs (game is on a pendrive),my saves get lost (even though they are in a save folder in the game's folder,so I thought it would be portable...),but I guess that won't get fixed.. The other one is that the Planetarian's text gets displayed sentence-by-sentence by default,but she speaks her full monologue in one go. So when I click to display the next sentence she stops speaking. In other VNs there are sometimes an option in the setup for letting me choose whether text is displayed sentence-by-sentence or instantly(the latter would solve my problem). But the game's menu isn't translated so I'd like to ask someone who can translate the menu (this could be posted on the game's download page) if there's an option like this...
