It's finally here!!!

Confession:   I was looking to play something different, and then Rain got me addicted to Sengoku Rance...   I've been playing it all night and can't stop!  It's actually pretty fun, and I like how there's so many different characters that show up.  Rance is an asshole, but it does make me laugh at times and being able to conquer all the girls in a jrpg is kinda entertaining.

You could try talking to people who are also on their own. I remember going to an anime club alone once or twice.. and it's always a pleasant surprise when someone tries to talk to me... or else I just sit there alone being bored.  Being on your own, it can be kind of hard to break into already formed groups.. so maybe try targeting the ones who are also alone?  Since people who go to clubs mostly go to mingle & make friends, it shouldn't be too weird?
I can be really shy... but sometimes I take the chance to be super weird out of my comfort zone to get to know someone and have made friends from it. You just have to make yourself dooo iiiit~ even if your mind is screaming noooo. Target people you're not intimidated by first, and as you get better~ you can try with girls or w/e.

Confession: I made another discord bot, this one is significantly less annoying and more useful  It does dice rolls and lets you practice hiragana and katakana

But I lied, it was only one all nighter, the rest I had the luxury of getting some < 4 hours sleep.

I decided to just make a list of games I'd be willing to part with for your trade.  There seems to be a couple on there that matches your wishlist.  So, you can pick the amount of titles you think would be a fair trade, and we can come to an agreement we're both happy with in pm later if you decide to trade with me. 
 
 
 

It'd probably be better if I just put up a wishlist. Between the games I own currently, the games I've played in the past and don't wish to own again, and the games I'm just not very interested in there is a pretty specific set left so I'll just make a list.

What kind of games do you already have (US)?  I do have old PS1/2, DS, and 3DS games I'm not really playing anymore that I might want to trade.  But it'd be kinda pointless if you already played most of what I have in my collection already.

My high school life was kinda like an anime in certain regards (also kind of like a VN).
I spend my free time in school (lunch and free-periods) mostly chilling with my good friends (still hangout with them today when I can), playing card games, making fun of each other, helping each other with school work. In this way, my life was a slice of life comedy. But additionally, a decent amount of girls were interested in me. So I also had to balance out attention from certain females and decide whether I wanted to pursue them or not. The main conflict of this anime I suppose was the decision to maintain my simple life hanging out with friends and doing school work, or to complicate my life by getting involved in the world of females. Needless to say, at the time I wasn't quite ready for relationships and the like, so I chose hanging out with my friends over girls. As a consequence of this, I often pretended that I didn't know that certain girls were interested in me, intentionally acting like the dense-protagonist, since I didn't want to face the drama of rejecting anyone. In retrospect it was kind of an asshole-ish thing to do.
Also, most high-school anime takes place in Tokyo I think. And similarly I'm from New York City, and the High School I went to also required an application process where you had to do well enough on a test to get admitted (a lot of good NYC high schools are like this, just like good Tokyo high schools).     

I disagree. Those people have social lives with other faceless characters and whatnot.
If you're anything like me, you're one of those background loners. Before the handsome, social and benevolent main character graces the loner with his presence and forces him to partake in increasingly harder social tasks until he gets completely brainwashed into becoming one of the mindless teenagers in the main character's social group.
All this, of course, before the anime airs. And it eventually gets cancelled whilst in production. It never airs. That's our role.

Anyway, I seem to have found a fitting avatar. I've never watched Nichijou (because I didn't like the few episodes I tried) but what do you think of this chap, chaps?
 

@Shikomizue - What the hell's with your voice, man? I'm fond of you, but for some reason, I don't quite know why, I seem to have you pegged for being a bit thick or slow. I think it's because you're one of those people that let me win or can't be bothered to fiercely fight back when we start an exchanging of ripostes. But I really do like you, because I like people who like me (clearly superior taste) and I believe you like me. Most of what I said here applies to @KosakiFag, except the voice and except that I barely interact with him. Once every couple of weeks, at the most? And @Cyrillej1, too. What the heck have you guys been doing? Getting lives?
@babiker - It's because I don't remember. You were one of the first members I was really fond of. That's all I remember. I don't remember why, or how, or anything at all. I keep making a point of reading everything you post in case it sparks my memory. So let's put it like this: I liked you, but I don't remember why. By that logic I shouldn't like you any more, but you haven't done a single thing that'd make me dislike you, so in all technicality I'm neutral with a positive bias. Or something.
I was guessing most people would mistake sanah's for Steve's, BUT SINCE NOBODY TRIED TO DO THE EGG, I HAVE NO IDEA.
I didn't quite get if by being on the egg you wanted my opinion...? The people who I put on the egg were completely random. For instance, I haven't interacted with shcboomer. In fact, from my point of view he's more of an urban legend or something, hardly ever seen him.

@LiquidShu - I seem to remember liking you, and I certainly think you're nice. Your previous Yuuji avatar's probably helped. I think you were in a similar position to @Fred the Barber, I occasionally chatted with you on some random Coliseum of Chatter thread and I came to find out our tastes were rather compatible. Kept an eye on your posts since and that's about it.
With Fred it went a bit further in that he's more talkative than you are, so I see him more often, interact with him more often, but I'm fond of both.

@Kurisu-Chan - Always had some issues understanding your English. C'mon, how many years have you been on this forum? You gotta English better than that by now, surely? I remember being rather fond of you, back when we interacted often in the Unlimited Chatter Works thread and later, Fuwachat. You also seem to have a bit of a short fuse, or if not, occasionally you blow up. I'm terrible with that kind of people. Somehow, completely unbeknownst to me, my words only seem to aggravate said people further. These days I'm more or less neutral, but when I very very rarely pop into Fuwachat, I'd rather x100 you were there than some random folk I don't know.

Yes, one of those seldom games where most stuff went smoothly. I remember it had something to do with you. I don't remember what, but I do remember you were the first to completely identify the people on the egg. Since then I haven't seen much in the way of people trying it out.

Your opening post has warmed my heart. Good thing I went by to take care of some business.
Anyway, I'd interact with you more, but I'm kinda going home at 1AM in the morning and waking up at 5AM to prepare to go to class. Yes, it's mostly a four hour sleep schedule on average. Again, it's because theater has started once again and it's screwing up my whole schedule. I go home everyday with the fear that I might get mugged, but I don't get mugged. Probably because I'm usually bigger than them.  
So yeah. Pretty much. Life got me again. I'll be a cool kid and finally finish the second Ace Attorney for you after my theater activities. Then I'll observe you as you state all the good things about Ace Attorney in a biased way.
Also, you wake up at a time where I'm in the middle of college.
Regarding your comments about most of it applying to Shiko, goddamnit man. I have not pegged myself to be a Shiko too. I will now reevaluate myself and think about how I should reinstate my status as a fag. Thank you for opening my eyes, Tiag.

Now that my life has stabilized, I'm looking to refresh my Japanese basics by tutoring one person basic grammar over skype. I will do this for free (of course) though I cannot guarantee that I'm going to be a super good tutor.
I have finished tutoring two people awhile back: Nosebleed and Grieviious (Keaton). You can ask them for feedback.
 
Details:
I'll be following this book ---- Japanese Sentence Patterns for Effective Communication. But I also reference Kanzen Master N4 and Taekim for topics. I will ONLY cover BASIC Japanese grammar. I won't be covering vocabulary, kanji, listening or speaking. The aim is for you to be able to get a good grasp of how Japanese sentences work and what to look for. Overall goal is for you to start being able to understand sentences in a Japanese Visual Novel. I personally want this to only last around 4-6 months (well I just don't want it to drag). I'm mainly looking for beginners and people who are into VNs. I personally learned Japanese to be able to read VNs and I've read them in Japanese, watched animes raw, and played games raw. I want to share the experience around.
 
Requirements:
Be passionate and motivated to learn the language.
Have skype
Know basic English grammar terms like "noun / verb / adjective / adverb / direct object" since I use that to explain stuff.
Be able to do skype sessions (of around an hour maybe?) at a minimum of once or twice a week.
Be able to coordinate with my schedule. I work full time on Central US time hours, and mostly free at early evenings CST (6-10 pm).
You need at least to be able to read hiragana and katakana. Basic kanji knowledge is preferred.
 
Process for selection:
I will personally choose you. Either post on this thread or PM me. I mainly want to see what you're planning to do with the knowledge and your plans with the Japanese knowledge. Since we're in a VN forum, I obviously want to see people interested in reading VNs / eroges or translating later on. Add whatever you think is interesting.
