I went from LE to DMG, so not too bad. Especially considering one of my friends managed to go from MG1 to Silver I

Yeah, but the problem is that you no longer can play competitive without being rank 3. When the update was released you could, but not anymore.

So I just recently started playing again after an absence from CS, and they have this new xp rank system. To play competitive you need rank 3, aka 10000 xp. For each 10 minute deathmatch you get xp based on score. In my case each 10 minute deathmatch gives me 300 xp. This means that I would need to invest into over 30 games of deathmatch (the easiest gamemode to get xp) to be able to play competitive again. RIP CS:GO

Well, maybe I just think they are rare because I watch all the harem animes horrible or not coming out every year . It might just be in my head, but I don't think there are that many untranslated either. Atleast to the proportion of animes I found enjoyable (I probably rate the standard harem way higher than normal). Indeed it is probably proportional to how much you enjoyed the anime, I personally liked both Toradora and OreImo, so getting to choose your own heroine was lovely.

When reminiscing, in most cases I think I like the side heroines best because they are side heroines. Watching them struggle pointlessly to get the protagonist is very enjoyable. It's probably one of those times where you want what you can't have. Because they are side heroines and therefore do not have any chance of getting the MC, I can like them. Not always the case though. Sometimes they are genuinly better than the main heroine. Kokoro Connect and White Album 2 were animes I enjoyed because of their deviation from the formula. The ability to choose which heroine you want, is the main reason I enjoy VNs. Especially when the industry makes a VN out of the anime which gives you the ability to choose your favourite character. Examples being Toradora and OreImo. Although rare, these types are the VNs I enjoy the most, and wish were more popular.

I always let the voices finish. Text in itself can't convey the mood and personalities of the characters good enough IMO.

Currently reading Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance since the anime had such an open ending. I find it very enjoyable.

I always read the entire manga. Even if I decide to read it just as I am finished with the anime. I am not even sure of the reason for that myself. Maybe because I'm afraid I will miss something.

So this happened to me a couple of days ago. It was the middle of class. On the row behind me sat 4 girls. I was bored, so I decided to read some more of Hatsuyuki Sakura. As I still was in the prologue I knew that it didn't contain any H-Scenes yet. However, what I did not remember, was that I had read an "unconventional" nukige the previous day. As I fired up Visual Novel Reader it showed the thumbnail of said nukige, taking up like half of the laptop's screen. In panic I tried pressing every key combination I knew of, but to no avail. So in the end I pressed Hatsuyuki Sakura's icon in Visual Novel Reader, and the thumbnail finally changed. I really hope those girls did not see.

Would skip if option was available, but have never done it so far as I am afraid to miss something important plotwise( Never happened yet though ). I remember sitting in class reading Katawa Shoujo. I had disabled the H-scenes(for obvious reasons). When the H-scene was over, Emi's sprite was shown naked. In panic I shut the computer's screen making a large sound, and everyone turned towards me . In short never trust disable H-content buttons. They are evil . Could be a bug though as I disabled them right before the H-scene. I also recommended some visual novels to a friend, and he said "My family think I am wierd enough watching anime, what would they think if they found out I read japanese 2D porn. I won't try it out. I'm sorry."

Only when playing Competitive. The matchmaking sets you up with people of the same rank. But when you start out you are rankless until you have 10 wins. Some people who have been playing the game and have a high rank, buy a new account and use that to get easier opponents. This is especially lucrative during the steam sales when the game is extremly cheap.

When you start out I reccomend getting familiar with the maps and game mechanics through deathmatch or casual. You will meet everything from people who can't shoot for shit, to people who will one-hit you in the head as you turn the corner. When you have learnt the basics you will head on to Competitive. There you will meet some people who are generally as good as you. But you will also meet smurfs(people with multiple accounts who ruins the game for everyone else). In my experience the lower ranks are especially dominated by smurfs.

As long as the accompanying song is good I watch the opening every episode. If not, then skip. I usually don't watch the ending on finished airing series(probably because I want to see the next episode as fast as possible ). There's nothing worse than an opening spoiling the series. But usually I do not notice that it was spoilers in it before I rewatch.

Currently watching ef: A Tale of Memories. So far It's imo an extremely good Romance/Drama series. Recommended.
