  1. Well, i suppose it's a matter of perspective, though the way you put it sounds more accurate. Yes, but he was given two ways to end his insanity: continue living with saya, or return to how everything was. that's the choice I'm talking about. even if he loved her, would he still be willing to give up all his past friends up for her, when he has the ability to turn hes friends into what they used to be, normal humans? 0_0. like, nothing? wow, I'm impressed. so the normal world, when he's friends looked human, sucked?... ok, mabey...
  2. so, i finished saya no uta today, and man… what a story. from reading a few posts here and there, I thought it was going to be a story that was all-dependent on the h-scenes (which I regularly skip). The only thing that made me give it a try was a YouTube review, which mentioned that it was a lot deeper, if you can look behind the bloody full stuff in it. And boy… was I in for a ride. Well for one thing, the horror is as real as everybody say’s, if not more. If you don’t want scary stuff, you might want to stay clear from this one… As for the most question that intrigued me; the question of love: is it really a good thing to protect the ones you love, regardless of whom they are? When do you know you, or they, have crossed the line? This VN sure did put in quite a different way… And, guys, for those of you who have tried it, and even if you haven't; out of the two choices that were given to you in the game, which would you truly and sincerely choose? to live in a mad world with a cute girl, or a sane world with a nasty monster… Even if the story tried to convince me other wise, I’d still go for the later. but I wanna know your opinions. And, for those of you who believe that this story is impossible to understand without the h, mind telling me why? Even though I skipped it, I still felt like I got the hole picture. And please don’t turn this into an h-scene argument. all we need is another thread were everybody is calling each other pervert. what I’m asking for is clear: for those of you who believe the h is necessary to understand this particular story, I would like to here your reasons. Over all, awesome story. As the guy in the review said, it’s really dark, with rape, murder, cannibalism, and all kinds of horrors… but if your willing to look behind that, you’ll find a deep, touching, and over all amazing story.
  3. Wasnt this the game that ashadow made a video about last year? ..... .......(goes and checks) yep. look's pretty cool. definitely checking it out if its free.
  4. Dragon force from fairy tail. It already has a beatmap, but it only has easy and medium.
  5. Mhmmmmm, well, i suppose there are no rules to what kind of video you post, eh? So... As out of place as this video looks, i can only describe it with one word: MIND BLOWING. Though, i should still warn you guys, this ones a lot more serious than any other video here so... You have been warned. Last note: you don't have to agree with everthing this guy say's, this is just what he bilieves in.
  6. though the argument is mostly over, i just want to quickly point out that not all countries have access to sites like crunchyroll, or funimation. wich is why fansubs are, to them, the only source of anime. so if they decide to stop, no anime for us . its not just the "west, west, west" were talking about here, its the hole world.
  7. I would also say rewrite. think of it as the evangelion of visual novels, or the madoka magika of VN's. At some point every one has to read it . And if you want a full review, here you go:-
  8. dam is it just me or are there too much characters... but anyway, cool show. hope i can get around to finishing it.
  9. Welcome! Though i'm hardly older than you in this site, I can assure you, you will love it . as for recommendations, try ever17. and g-senjou no maou. what is ever17? what is g-sejou no maou? thank me later .
  10. why does everyone on Fuwa have avatars of girls when there not actually girls? well, i'm gonna be a little different...
  11. same exact feeling man... that game was a horror movie to me. And i was playing it in the middle of the living room, with all my family hanging around. what can i say? not a good experience... at all. i also hold western made VN's in high regard. I'm also in the middle of making one, but it will definitely be the polar opposite of this one, if you know what i mean
  12. pigeon h-scenes, eh? God, i could hardly stand h when they were humans... but who know's? Maybe maybe I'll find bird porn a lot more entertaining. (goes to bathroom to puke)
  13. That would be the biggest crisis to hit the community since key did what they did with angel beats! And the next time you say your a VN fan, the first reaction would be "oh, you played that pigeon dating-sim right? that's some gross stuff man!". Were will i ever hide my face...
  14. (Face palm) Is there something you can't date in Japan?!
  15. I truly hope all goes well, and the everything is done smoothly. One thing that has bugged me recently is this: In episode six, how are we gonna take a hole hour talking about authors v.s translator? while it was a very fiery topic that got a lot of attention, than main reason it got so much replies was that people were repeating themselves(my self included) . I honestly don't know how we could make it last any more than say half an hour or so. So...?
  16. Obviously this disscussion has become what i felt it was turning into: a question of what a translator should do and what he can do. ... Well i seriously think this now desserves a topic of its own, the only thing that was stopping me in the beginning was that i thought the awnser was clear: HE CAN DO WHATEVER HE WHANTS But its pretty clear there are people with other oppinions... Ah well i think i'll start that topic some time later... Very tired now. And if someone else starts the topic, that would be much appretiated...zzzzz
  17. So you were too busy to read my post, but had the time to rebut it?... makes sense. but anyway, so we can get somewhere in this argument, i do agree with you that taking out the h-scene would be changing the game, but that's just how the process of translating is. translating is literally changing; and its not just the language: jokes have to be changed to sound funny, sometimes entire pieces of the script have to be deleted, entire scenes, not just h-scenes, altered so they don't look too weird, out of context, or simply incomprehensible. while i cannot give you a clear example of this when it comes to VN's, (as i have never translated one before) but I'll tell you something that happened to me: after watching all the Harry Potter movies, my brother bought all the novels in Arabic. i tried to read the fourth one, and the amount of alteration to the story was... quite a lot to say the least. the translator removed all, and i do say all the romance that was involved. why? because the western understanding of romance can be very insulting to many people in the middle east. That's just one example, I'm sure if you asked experienced VN translators, they will tell you many such stories. again: if you want the original so badly, there is no running away from learning the language.
  18. Yep, you've had one busy night . as i have already said in my long lecture about translating, its in no way wrong to do this. translations are made for two purposes: reaching a wider audience, and\or staying as loyal as possible to the original source. you can refer back to my post, as i also don't want to repeat myself. I'm honestly surprised no one replied to my post, though i suppose i said so much i left most people who had the energy to read the hole thing speechless . or whas it something else?
  19. Well, as much as what I'm going to say seems of topic, it still needs to be said. Many people here are questioning what is the true role of a translator, and how much power does he have over the work of art he is translating? Before anything, I must exclaim that i have been translating different stuff (ie: movies, books, conversations) for almost a decade(8 years now) . From English to Arabic, witch i'm fluent in, and from Arabic to English. so , even if i don't know any Japanese, i can still say a thing or two about translating. (not bragging here, just making things clear) First and foremost; a translators job is not simply to change the language; its to change the entire work. The usual goal is for the targeted audience to receive the same meaning and feeling the original work possessed. And usually, to achieve this goal, many things have to be changed in the original, including removing stuff the new audience might find annoying, unnecessary, or out right insulting. And of course not all the targeted audience will agree on one thing; but if, per say, most people in the west find something like h-scenes to be offensive; then the only reasonable thing the translator should do is remove them; so they may reach a larger audience. But if the translator does not care if it reaches a larger audience or not, and just want's the translation to be as close to the original as possible, then that's his choice. At the end of the day a translator is a changer, whose mission is to make his translation:- 1. As close to the original as possible 2. As acceptable to the new audience as possible. And sometimes these two goals clash, and the translator is forced to choose one to prioritize over the other. Witch is why its better to have more than one translation; each one with a different priority. And while i also prefer my VN's without h-scenes,( i probably hate them more than anyone around here does), i think that any VN, that has h-scenes, should have at least two translated versions: one made with the purpose of reaching a large audience, and one with the purpose of staying as close to the original as possible. And just a last note: you can never have a translation that's equal to the original. if you want the original that badly, your best choice is to learn the original language, which is in this case, Japanese.
  20. Wow, this looks pretty awesome, quite a level above unhack. you have grown up quickly, invertmouse a new setting to explore... and a mysterious one at that... interesting...
  21. your right! and fore more proof, notice in the second trailer were the priest says the line: shirou emiya, you should remain till the end and win this was copy/pasted straight from heavens feel's route! i would know, cuz i'm playing this route right now. And after this shoking revelation, I'm thinking about stopping, so i could enjoy the anime more
  22. Thats because i was the one to revive it; i was searching for ahadow700's post's, and while there, i found this wonderfull gem! and i'm still saying you should upload this in your channel. do you understand the amount of fans who will rejoice, or non-fans that will discover this masterpiece? your choice of withhelding this work of art is tantamount to blasphemy! what happend to the guy that whanted to spread visual novels? and who cares if there's more than one video about it? the more the merrier i say. something else i noticed in your posts, ashadow700, is that you keep degrading your videos. Dood, i'm not exagerating when i say your one of the best reviewers on youtube. give yourself some credit. exactly my point.
  23. Man, your pic say's it all, Kendjin
