That's kind of a bad way to think about it though. You're basically saying companies fucking up doesn't matter since the community will just patch it up either way. Why not demand, as a consumer, that the company delivers you a good product to begin with? 
We're very fortunate rusanon decided to make a team to patch up Konosora, but we can't simply assume that will happen every time, especially since translating a vn is an immense amount of work and most people aren't up for it. 
I'd much rather try to get the company to fix their shit, although in Moenovel's case it might be a lost cause.
Regardless , I really don't agree with this "compaies fucking up is okay because the fans will fix it" mindset and I hope it doesn't become the status quo anytime soon.

One thing to appreciate, at least Frontwing is engaging with fans, trying to see what they can do differently. They did this with Sharin no Kuni, and are going to bring back the KS after making changes, and now this. Just this bit of outreach can do wonders for a company's image cough cough 

It ultimately boils down to the internet evolving into something that allows for really quick and easy spreading of information, meaning one stupid person can have a larger impact than they could back in the 90's.
i.e in the 90's shitty people existed too, they just didn't have as big of a reach as they do today.
Imo it's inevitable as the internet becomes a bigger replacement to real world interactions, meaning instead of being dicks outside we'll be dicks online.
I wonder if we'll ever reach such a shift where going outside is actually less toxic than being online. Or maybe we're already at that point (although all the kids playing pokemon mgo on their smartphones makes me nt want to believe that):

I think what people never consider is the amount of positives such an advanced internet has brought to our lives though. People now focus so much on all the negative aspects it brings while completely forgetting just how amazing the internet as a technology it is in its current form.
Of course there are negatives, but we need to learn to accept the good and the bad and work with it. It comes with the package, it's a trade off, we can't have everything our way, that's not how life works.
I think the perfect analogy to this scenario is what happened when TOR was created. The FBI needed it to stay anonymous online, but if only the FBI used it, then everybody would know it's them when a TOR connection came through, and so the trade off was that they let everyone use it, even though that is acknowledging the dangers that come with it (and I'm sure you're all a ware of thekind of vile things tht can end up on the deep web). So for the greater good (anonymity online), they allowed the possibility of negatives as well. 
We can't have a perfect internet where everyone is nice to each other. We can mitigate things and moderate sites to a certain extent, and we can educate people and whatnot, but the trade off with having the kind of internet we do today is that there will always be shitty people trying to mess it up, and we have to accept that's simply part of the ackage and move on to work on more productive things instead of writing clickbait articles that serve no purpose.

The difference is that Sekai Project relies on Kickstarter.  Having a large backlog makes backers uneasy.  The more projects going at the same time, the greater the loss to backers if Sekai Project suddenly folds.  A growing cascade of crowdfunding campaigns suggests reckless expansion, or worse, starting new projects to fund previous ones (a.k.a., a pyramid scheme).  Finally, too many simultaneous projects could stress the organizational apparatus overseeing all of them, resulting in lack of proper oversight and quality control.  These are all serious concerns.
MangaGamer is established, experienced, and boasts a fast-paced release schedule AND the quality control to back it up.  Not to mention that if they suddenly collapse, backers won't be left with the tab.

I like most of what I have seen so far in the game but I don't think I'll jump into early access just yet without more updates. The world is there, a few of the NPCs are there, but otherwise, right now, it is a walking sim from what I've seen. Still, holds a lot of promise.

I haven't been updating this thread because lazyness, but the most recent developments just...

I mean, most internet services come with some pretty good filtering tools. If they want, they could just turn off comments on their site and do things at their own pace. Ain't nothing wrong with that. And there's nothing wrong with not having a thick hide, either. The internet shouldn't have a high barrier to entry.

In accordance with their ‘no update for you’ policy, the group has deprived the public of the update informing everyone of the group's intention not to release updates.

Final update: Due to the amount of hate comments that have came in (and been deleted) surrounding our delay of OUR patch I have decided to not only disable comments but to also stop giving out updates. The amount of conceited people that think our project revolves around them is disgusting. Apparently no updates are better than updates. Apologies for wasting my own time trying to keep you all in the loop while we do what we think is best for OUR patch. We’re the ones who have wasted 3 years of our lives on such a shit community.

For those of you unfamiliar with the country, let me give you a brief summary of the US of A.
America is located here:

As America has the greatest GDP (both quantitatively and qualitatively) in the world, we trade a lot of things. Our largest export is freedom. In exchange for this 24-carat unadulterated gluten-free freedom, other countries shower us gratefully with oil.

Landmarks of America's culture include the apple pie, baseball, cheeseburgers, and Irish people. The official symbol of America is the bald eagle.

America was founded in 1776 when Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, in which we said "GO TO HELL" to George III of England, to which George replied "i don't have any power anymore you should talk to the prime minister also we're called great britain now because scotland lost all their money when they tried to colonize panama for some reason," to which we replied, "WE WON'T STAND FOR YOUR MONARCHIC TYRANNICALITY ENGLAND."

So we fought a bloody war and stripped ourselves of the colonial despotism of England, but then we were like "alright we still need to trade with you and stuff so we're cool now."
However, the only form of unity we had back then was the Articles of Federation which kind of sucked, so we wrote the Constitution and subsequently freedomed all over the place.

The first 10 amendments to the Constitution comprise the Bill of Rights. Many argue that the First Amendment is first because it makes us the most freedomy. I draw from this the corollary that the amendments are ranked in order of freedominess. For example, the Thirteenth Amendment, which bans slavery, comes after the Second Amendment, which guarantees us the guns that exemplify our liberty.

With that all established, we then kept moving to the West while sort of pushing away some guys who already lived there, but we let them have tax-free casinos now so it's all cool.

Oh, and when the founding fathers were countryfying the country, they were all like, "Should we ban slavery?" and someone else was like, "Ehhhhh, that'd cause a lot of problems. I'm sure they'll come up with a solution to that later on."
So then we had the Civil War and everything was solved!

All thanks to a guy named Abraham Lincoln, who proclamated the Emancipation Proclamation which banned the shizzle out of slavery. Well, sort of. That's a story for another day.

Then we had a big Industrial Revolution where we prospered but remained pretty isolationist. However, we still wanted our good friend Japan on the other side of the world to be less isolationist, so we sent Matthew Perry over to talk about opening up their borders, and also sent a giant indestructible navy with him because I guess he was a pretty self-conscious person.

Later on, a bunch of European guys were fighting over who's better at faking soccer injuries or whatever, so after they all beat themselves up we went in and finished it all.

And then President Woodrow Wilson was like, "Okay, you guys gotta stop this war shizzle," so he created super awesome peace-keeping international unity freedom organization The League of Nations and invited everybody.
And then we decided not to join it.

So after a while the Europeans had another world war over whose bicycle was the coolest or something, and this time we got pretty involved.
President Franklin D. socialist-lite Roosevelt brought us through the war against the freedom-hating Nazis and the Chinese-people-hating Japanese people. But he died before it ended so President Harry S my-middle-name-is-literally-"S" Truman saw it through to the end by dropping an atomic bomb on Japan and then told them to make us TVs and stuff.

And then we saw that our former friends Homie Joe Stalin and Mao Zedope weren't cool and they were all like, "Yeah, well you're not our comrade anymore," and we eventually got into a war in Korea and Vietnam and lots of other Ching Chong Chang lands, but then the USSR died of bad economy syndrome and China decided they could instead go to war with us by giving us lots of plastic products and stuff.

And that's a history of the United America of America.
There were also some other significant people and events in America's history that you'll need to talk to a history man about because I'm busy.
