  1. I decided to finally start up Little Busters!, which I've put off for soooo long now, but I found out I share the same birthday as Kud! (I think even the same year!) So it really sparked my interest in her!
  2. This has been one of my favorite tracks from Reitaisai this year, and one of my all time favorite ENS tracks! Miko's vocals are so beautiful!
  3. I must say when I first joined the forums I was extremely shocked about how nice everyone was, and how friendly it was! My first introduction to fuwanovel was from /jp, and part of the reason why I really investigated into it was because I didn't understand at all why everyone on there was saying such horrible horrible things about it. I don't really understand why they'd get mad about the copyright stance seeing how uploads from comiket/m3/reitaisai are some of the most popular threads with everyone begging for things to be upload, as well as it being the general attitude that sharing is good as long as you support companies you care about. Even though I mostly lurk here more than I post (super shy orz) I still get really offended when people attack the website, and especially when people attack aaeru which seems to be more common... yet completely unfounded. It really boggles my mind how people who believe in and share the same interests would just attack something that really is helping and building something that is really wanted, but seemed almost impossible, a VN community in the west. I'd gladly defend here and it's the first place I'll send anyone if they ask me about visual novels! I hope it continues to grow and keep its positive attitude!
  4. Since this community has a bit of users who know Japanese, I was wondering if anyone here has played Towelket, and bring attention to it for people who haven't heard or played it. Towelket: One More Time (タオルケットをもう一度) is a series of RPG Maker games that feature a cute art style juxtaposed with a story that's very dark in tone, often very philosophical, yet still finds time to be light-hearted, because of this it's often compared to the Mother series. There's currently 7 games with an 8th one in development, as well as 3 spin off games. The games aren't a continuous story, but they share similar elements and sometimes characters recur. (Though not as themselves) Much in the way Final Fantasy sequels are. I've played through two of them fully, and am in the middle of one more as well as one of the spin offs. The first one I played, Towelket 1, (which is the 3rd game) has been the second piece of fiction to ever get a tear to come down my eye. It easily became one my all time favorite games, and my most favorite RPG. The second one I finished ~fury~ has probably the darkest story I've ever encountered. It makes Saya no Uta look like a nice picnic in a sunny park. I'm not very good at explaining things myself so heres the description of the games from the wiki: Here's some screenshots if you're interested in seeing the art style: I hope that people will take an interest in it! While there's currently a partial translation of the first game, it would be amazing to see the others get translated so everyone can experience them because they're really moving. They make you really think a lot about why you're alive, what makes somebody a person, and what is time, while keeping a smile on your face, and have a few laughs along the way! You can download them at: http://www.freem.ne.jp/brand/1039 official site http://www.mediafire.com/?29mkm8hk8uo1r33 zipped collection You'll need the japanese RPGmaker RTP to play them. The game works great with Visual Novel Reader if you need furigana or want to be able to copy+paste lines, but machine translation works worse than normal due to a lot of the characters unusual names.
  5. I'm not sure if this is on your end or facebook's, but when I click on the facebook connect thing from the profile thing to connect, it just pulls up text that says: { "error": { "message": "Error validating application. Application has been deleted.", "type": "OAuthException", "code": 101 } }
  6. I like loli characters when they actually have some sort of depth to them, and aren't just a generic character thrown in to appeal to lolicons. I find though that most of the ones I do like really are pretty much just a regular normal character that's petite, and young. (Unless they're something like 914 years old for some reason. Age 100+ lolis are super cute by the way. ) In fact when they start acting more and more like like little girls is when I start to dislike them, ESPECIALLY if it becomes lewd. If the character doesn't have the mentality of a little girl then I'm ok with it though. I enjoyed the scenes with Mare for example. I just don't find the personality of little girls engaging at all. However, I don't have a problem with anyone who does enjoy lewd lolicon, so long as it only applies to 2D, and nothing but 2D. I don't know if because of this I could be considered a lolicon or not, all I know is, holy mole Mare is such a cutie. I completely agree with the views in this image:
  7. I can't understand how anyone can chose someone that isn't Kobato! She's such a sweet and caring imouto!! Every time I hear her "kukuku" I seriously melt. Very related.
  8. I just finished Katahane, dang was that cute!
  9. If anyone would like to play with a level 3, I'd gladly join in! Also, is Sega still blocking foreign IPs from making an account?
  10. That's a really tough question.... my answer to that is usually Cromartie High because I've seen it a ton of times, and it's always great. If a need a good dose of moe though, Milky Holmes is the best.
  11. Nope! Any old email will do! There's actually a guide on how to register here. You can also find a bunch of helpful information here.
  12. I wasn't expecting it to come to Seattle at all... maybe your wishes will come true! ^^; By the way, is anyone playing Madoka Online?
  13. I thought that it was really interesting how they blended a bunch of genres together, and came out with a more gritty take on mahou shoujo. I can't say it's my favorite series, but I can see why a lot of people enjoyed it so much, and why it's gotten so big. I'm debating if I want to go see the movie since it's coming to Seattle.
  14. I've been going to Sakuracon for the last few years, and so long as you can get past little things like kids running around screaming, it can be good fun. They usually don't have many guest I like, but it's nice buying doujinshi and figures!
  15. I've been meaning to get around to trying this series out! Perhaps I'll start trying this weekend. The concept seems really interesting
  16. The Milky Holmes game is great! The iDOLM@STER SP: Perfect Sun is translated, as well as Chihaya's route in Missing Moon. The game plays very close to VN, but with rhythm game and management elements.
  17. I'm curious as to what everyone's favorite route was in this game? All the characters had such an interesting story.
  18. Thank you! I started Katawa Shoujo, but couldn't really get into it. Thank you thank you! I will be sure to do so! I look forward to talking to you as well!
  19. No, I'm using the English patch from here. Thank you!
  20. I've actually noticed that Russia really really loves Drum and Bass! Saya no Uta is great as long as you have a strong stomach.. I'd post my thoughts about it, but it's been a few years since I've played it, might be a good excuse to play through it again though!
  21. I wish I could find another vn in this kind of universe… Wow it's huge then ! I wish so, too. I'm a big fan of guro, but also a big fan of cute things. Sadly, the two don't mix very often.. If you're interested in learning more about doujin music http://comiget.com has a lot of releases on it, all though it hasn't been updated in a while.
  22. . The other two are just depressing… What does EDM stands for ? Is doujin music kind of indie music ? That ending was indeed the best... the other two really brought some tears. EDM stands for electronic dance music, it's an umbrella term for things like House, Drum & Bass, Trance, Techno, Hardcore, Etc.. Doujin music is similar to indie music in the sense that it's self-published.
  23. Hiiii... I'm not very good with intros at all. I'm not really sure how long I've been reading VNs for, but it's been a while. My favorite is probably Saya no Uta, all though I really enjoyed Hoshizora No Memoria a lot. The only thing I'm currently reading right now is the Milky Holmes PSP game. Besides being interested in VNs, I'm really into doujin music, particularly of the EDM variety. I also play a lot of games, most being Monster Hunter. Anyways... hello.
