  1. I'm going to play through Swan Song. I do hope it's light on the h-scenes, though. Someone should tell Japan that one can tell a mature story without having 3 hours of moaning and slurping sounds to mosaic genitalia backgrounds.
  2. I posted in a different thread that this was the only game to ever make me flat out quit because of h-scenes (Suzu potty training within the first hour, specifically). I'm not one to start something without seeing it through to the end, so I went back and completed each of the endings over the weekend. Turns out I was right the first time. I found the game to be pretty tasteless all the way through to the end. The characters in the game are nothing but stereotypes interacting with one another for the sole purpose of at some point participating in random sex scenes. I realize this is likely for the sole purpose of fan service, but the protagonist is a goddamn moron. Also, Katou Kotarou only has a significant role in one of the non-canon routes; in which he is shown to be the strongest character in the VN, effortlessly destroying all opposition single-handedly, including the main villain in all the routes. With the exception of Touko's route, in which Kotarou is not in the city, I don't see how one can take the story seriously at all with a seemingly omnipotent character like that. He could solve all the world's problems with his fists. I found all of the action scenes to be lackluster at best; reusing the same few assets over and over. I was expecting them to be at the same level of Kikokugai based on people constantly calling this one of the best action VNs around. On a positive note; the game did have a great OST, though poorly looped.
  3. I assume I'd still be sleeping unless he/she'd be loud; in which case I'd jump out the window, landing on the ground, using my genitals as a pogo stick, a la Duck Tales, to go on an adventure; never to return. That's what you get for watching me sleep.
  4. Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer. Saya no Uta is a close second and Kara no Shoujo a distant third. The darker and more sadistic the better. Stein;s Gate is pretty good as well and could've been considered a favorite of mine, but it goes down the crapper once the focus shifts from science and mystery to romance when you near each ending for whatever random reason. Mayuri I can understand, but the rest is out of the blue. Especially in the true ending. They constantly joke about spontaneus romance flags in the game, but I don't think the writers realize how ironic it is.
  5. I don't know what else it would be classified as. It's not an elaborate multi-CG scene with 20 minutes of slurping sounds, but I'd definitely still call it an h-scene.
  6. I strongly dislike h-scenes, but I don't let whether a game has them or not limit what I play. There's only been one game where I've ever straight up quit playing because of an h-scene. The first h-scene in Ayakashibito (roughly 90 mins into the VN) had me going "NOPE". Basically, 200+ year old near omnipotent creature needs potty training from the protag which awkwardly ends with him rubbing her off over the toilet until she sprays piss everywhere because his hand slipped from her stomach to her vag. I've put up with a lot of terrible fan service and bad writing, but this particular scene had me uninstalling the game moments later. I should file charges against the developers for attempted murder. That facepalm nearly broke my neck.
