  1. Oh right, totally forgot about the ongoing hero academia, i have the second part of season 2 to catch up.
  2. Confession : each wednesday brings a smile to my face, as i know i will always get my weekly fix of steins;gate 0. Today was a good day.
  3. Episode 6 of steins;gate 0. Overall, the plot is well executed, the animation is getting better and better (there is movement in the background, this time, as opposed to no movement) there are still a bit of problems and the random shots doesn't help that much, but overall it's watchable and the story is on fire.
  4. 0/10, not enough memy, you gotta pump out these memes. www
  5. Guys, can we agree that this anime season is probably one of the strongest anime season we've got since a lot of time? I mean, the amount of excellent anime we are getting this season is just way too big, i can't count how many great anime are being released this season (except tokyo Ghoul cause Poor Tokyo Ghoul, and Persona 5 the animation too, poor Persona 5).
  6. Steins;Gate 0 Episode 5 finished. Well, like always, i like the stuff they are doing.
  7. Yep, that, and also the fact that so far, the anime is doing a hell of a good job. Basically, Spike Chunsoft has already the rights to every single 5pb. visual novel.
  8. Tbh, me too, i don't care that much about S;G 0 VN(all my attention is on the anime) but if this VN can bring us Robotics;Notes, i'd be happy.
  9. Yep, with very slight editing, but it is the same, the console(and now PC) translation was validated by 5pb. the creators of the VN, so there is that.
  10. *Insert obligatory Kuu-chan hyping* Seriously tho, Steins;Gate 0 is the first MAGES' visual novel being released by spike chunsoft in the west, the first of many (i hope), tbh, all i hope for is a Chaos;Child + Robotics;Notes PC release, and if S;G 0 is what it takes to get these released, well so be it. Good luck for everyone who'll buy this fantastic visual novel. I have to include some bit of context to S;G 0 : Read/Watch steins;gate before, because S;G 0 relies a lot on previous VN/Anime (it is a sequel, after all).
  11. But the writer has any right to do whatever he wants. ...eh right, writing shitty plots is not a good idea.
  12. Asuna is just a shitty BlackRose. (Yeh i know, i have to bring up my love for .hack// www
  13. Btw, check out because i'll this week start my very own blog on fuwanovel. I'll mostly do whatever i want, but specially, reviewing animes and VNs that i'm watching/playing, but from the point of view of a writer. (And don't worry, i won't only talk about steins;gate 0...maybe).
  14. I am mostly refering to the games, .hack//sign is frankly not that interesting, it barelly impacts the story of the game (the characters rarely appear in the story). i prefer .hack//roots, since it has an actual impact in the story of .hack//G.U
  15. Frankly, the number of bad writing and lazy solutions in Re;Zero are plenty.
  16. Sword art online is not an Isekai, and doesn't deserve all the hate it got, the first light novel is good, the others are kinda bad, and some are interesting. .hack// and .hack//G.U especially are a way better representation of the whole virtual reality game thingy.
  17. Wanna know something? Steins;Gate is an isekai VN. Wow, i'm super controversial today, i start up by saying that Re;Zero is inconsistent, then i say something bad about Tolkien, and now i'm stating that Steins;Gate is an Isekai. Btw, nice job Thyndd, you understand what i find bad about Subaru, it's not the fact that he is a character writen to be hated.
  18. No, sorry, i have to diverge here. Nope, a character, and by extension a protagonist, shouldn't be whatever the writer wants him to be, if it breaks laws of continuity and logic. When you write a story, and thanks to 14 years of shitty writing in my backstory, the most important part of a story, for its believability, is the suspension of disbelief : when you establish a universe, you sign a contract with the reader/watcher, that for the rest of this story, you have this set of rules, the characters will follow this set of rules, and won't do anything that goes against the logic of the story. If your character decides to act against its own logic or against the logic of the story You may think it is nothing, but once the suspension of disbelief is broke, it is definitely broke. Yes, obviously the writer is the master of the story, but you can't just spout any random bullshit for the sake of advancing the plot, you're not writing the story of a call of duty, your objective is to craft an actual good universe with characters that uses logic instead of deus ex machina, instead of being self-insert, instead of mary sue-ing their way. I should add more emphasis on it, the difference between a good writer and a bad writer, is the ability to use the rules of his universe to do anything he wants, not just write off elements that he finds inconvenients. And, while Tolkien fucked up with the Eagles, that doesn't mean he is a shitty writer, it just shows that even the greatest writers can fall into the rule-breaking trap.
  19. Don't be afraid of your opinion, defend it, don't let some pesky tsundere tell you what is wrong and what is good, that is healthy. As to speak about Subaru, he is whatever the writer wants him to be, and that has a name : bad writing.
  20. A normal teenager that happens to be both a Neet, a sweet talker, strong physics and the ability to change his mind every single time? Yep, it is wish fullfilment, even if it is twisted.
  21. Thanks for talking about Re;Zero. You see, Re;Zero...is probably one of the worst Light Novel i have put my hands on, the writer of the Light Novel seems to know nothing about things like : consistency, actual world building and not world stealing, good dramatization, and fucking up the only good character AKA Rem with that personality shift, from a strong female character to a fucking carpet, no, even lowlier than a carpet. The manga is a horror to read, it is filled to the brim with useless and unnecessary elements, it is not a bad manga, but definitely a medium to normal manga, isekai fans would prolly like the manga a lot. The anime is...a different story, i have no idea how(well actually i do have an idea) but White Fox salvaged everything that was possible from the light novel, and made a surprisingly good anime, i still hate the anime because it is Isekai and the major problems of the LN are still here (major inconsistency with the protagonist, the whole Rem thingy) BUT, the anime has a much, much better story flow, the pacing is way better, there is almost zero time wasted in unnecessary stuff, and while some incoherences are still here, White Fox did prolly the best they could to make an actual good anime (a good anime that i hate for the sole purpose of being Isekai, btw). The Isekai genre is not a bad genre, it is plagued, filled to the brim with wannabe writers who thinks it's as easy as staring in a porn movie to write a successful isekai story, and therefore, they put the minimal, the bare minimum efforts into crafting an actual story that isn't just otaku pandering, and actually serves some purpose other than just selling the exact same stuff again. The enemy is not isekai, the enemy is bad isekai writers.
