  1. I mean, the difference is fairly big. Big like the lies Ouraibaa spouts.
  2. My problem with that is how the game forces you to make an uninformed choice.
  3. Yes, of course, not gonna discuss details out in the open. I'm doing the Black Eagle house route. At the end of the day, it's just another FE, and my problems simply stem from expecting more from the franchise.
  4. I'd say it's much more difficult to mess up in FE than it is not to. Certain characters are just ridiculously overpowered and, if in trouble, you can just 1-man entire missions. The real challenge is in not killing everything with those so that you can share exp between all your party! Regarding Three Houses, I must say I expected the overinflated reviews and have been disappointedly... not disappointed. The gameplay is the same as usual, fairly simple and easy no matter which difficulty you choose (which makes it great for newcomers and more casual players), but a bit of a let down for people looking for a tactics game. My main complain, however, is in the story. While the characters are a mixed bag of great designs with touching backstories against walking archetypes with the especial skill "Bore you to Death", what I've seen of the story as of now has been a, if you'll forgive the expression, complete shitshow. The plot is a mess, the monthly timetable makes the pacing feel very unrealistic, the villains are just that, villains... Surprisingly enough, the game actually kicks itself in the balls and self-denies some opportunities for great moments, too. I do wonder if, by realizing that the casual modern FE is a really easy money cow, Nintendo has just completely given up on creating compelling stories for the franchise. Now, this all sounds super negative, but really, I'm just focusing on my grievances. If you play Three Houses expecting "another FE", you'll be pleasantly not surprised and have a good time with the waifus/husbandos. If you expect a JRPG with some meat, you'll go starving.
  5. You younglings and your technowhats and soulless machines.
  6. You were not unclear. But I saw a chance and took it
  7. Well, most "AAA shows" (so to speak) tend to directly run for 24 episodes. I mean the typical ones with the hype and backing so that you know they'll be a hit the moment an adaptation is announced. For a moment I thought it had been announced for an indefinite number, or smth like 36 episodes (although the 3rd episode has been delayed for obvious reasons).
  8. My heart has been shattered by discovering the path that Uchinoko is gonna take. Bloody Japanese authors... @ittaku Isn't Fire Force 24 episodes?
  9. Some people are saying stuff like "no because high school sucked / wasn't particularly meaningful", but isn't that actually one of the main reasons it's such a popular setting on manga/anime/VNs? People who couldn't experience it fully get to live the student life through the characters in stories where those years are meaningful for them. And for those who are nostalgic for high school, it helps them relive it. I mean, this is one of the main reasons the high school setting is like, a cornerstone of anime. Personally, I'm generally nostalgic, but mostly for life at that age in general, not just school. Like, being excited by tons of random stuff, hanging out with friends for days on their/my house, playing games 24/7, etc.
  10. You're finally on the path to godhood, my son
  11. Yeah, it's basically to show the audience that Senku is super duper smart.
  12. Well, at the end of the day it's just an excuse to say "he didn't go crazy". Not particularly important, I'd say.
  13. I mean, I would agree that it is a bit of a nitpick. If we get like this, basically 90% of all anime is just beyond ridiculous in its premise.
  14. I'm currently waiting for a few weeks to pass by, in order to throw the rule of three episodes in the general direction of several anime. Fire Force looks promising, and I actually watched the first episode dubbed because why not. It was really well done, honestly, except for the voice of the MC as a kid and his mom. I had read some of the manga beforehand, and I know its from the author of Soul Eater, so this adaptation has a bit of a VIP pass. Dr. Stone is in a similar situation, which is probably good. Because the initial episodes past the first are going to be (most probably) fairly boring, as they were in the manga before its author made a critical turn and saved it. So I'll wait a few weeks and then rush it. Apart from this... I'm full of doubts. Dumbbell nan kill moteru could either be dumb fun or a gross whorefest of cheap fan service. While I'm a huge fan of the fit anime girls and back muscles, as we all are since Kabaneri, anime are too often prone towards the cheap products. Let's see... I won't watch Danmachi, since everything I've seen from it (both the manga and anime) were just terribly bland. Vinland comes so well-recommended that I'll definitely have to check it out. There are a few ultra-trash isekais: Arifureta, Isekai Cheat, Maou-sama, Tsuujou... The first I know from the manga, so I'll save myself the horror of attempting to cut my own veins from the edge and embarrassment I feel from this show, and the others just sound like really bad, run of the mill isekais. Maybe I'm doing myself a disfavour by pilling them all together but, at this point, it's just so difficult to grant them an honest chance when it feels they are not even trying to make something interesting or good. I don't bemoan the isekai trend, but it truly is a sub-genre that tends to offer the worst of the worst (god I'm salty). Uchi no Ko no Tame Naraba is one anime I'll also watch due to knowing it from the manga. Simple, dumb cuteness overload. @Mr Poltroon This is what you need to waaaaaatch. Dunno, might give a chance to Kanata no Astra. Aaaaaand, guess I'm glad Diamond no Ace II is still ongoing, and I still have all of Kimetsu no Yaiba to watch. However, JoJo Part 5 has almost ended, which has me super down. PD: Just found out that not only there is no JoJo this week, but the final two episodes will air together in 2 weeks.
  15. Judging by your second paragraph, I'd say it is a fairly faithful adaptation. The story, be it the original or any of its adaptations, IS fairly unimaginative, and the author gets stuck, not to say becomes obsessed, with the idea of the suffering martyr, to the point the MC gets a bit of development early on, and then absolutely nothing for practically forever. What I personally found funny is that, very early on, tons of people realise that he's not the scumbag they're told he is, and he gets tons of support and the undying loyalty of his slaves allies, but every single conflict is basically him going into a rage because "the world is unfair and everyone hates meeeeeeeeee". It's the kind of cheap drama that really gets the blood pumping when you're a teen. To be fair, the original concept is pretty good. It's just that the author is incapable of doing anything that's not edgy af with the MC, or to have him grow past his first steps into "herohood". It probably doesn't help that the show tries its darnest to make the other heroes so uncharismatic and dumb, to the point that it's difficult to care about them both as potential enemies or allies.
  16. An absolute improvement to Nagatoro. https://streamable.com/ph0xx
