  1. A good moment for Kaguya-sama, as it just got its season 2 announced. Trust me, not getting an ending for If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord might be for the best...
  2. Hah, our curiosity gets the better of us. In my case I was also checking the vndb page and
  3. It employs a very classic nakige structure. The first part is comedic and light-hearted. Then there's romance, the tragic climax and a bittersweet ending. It surprised me too, because the thing about the demons made me thing it would be a simple story peppered with h-scenes everywhere, contrasting oddly with its nakige tag, but it most definitely isn't so. It's fairly short (even if you do more than one route, which isn't all that necessary), so do tell me if you play it! Fair enough. I'll start it either way, as I had originally planned, be it comedic enough or not Otherwise I might just play it and rewatch some comedy anime or smth haha.
  4. Man, I ended up ploughing straight through Nanairo Reincarnation due to it being the shorter game (to Aokana), and now am emotionally devastated. Wasn't sure how much of a nakige it would be, but boy does it hit hard towards the end... ended up doing all the routes since they are basically the same with slight differences, too. Now I'm gonna start Aokana... but I think I'll also look up recommendations for something light-hearted on the funnier side, too, to compensate for my poor hurt kokoro.
  5. God dammit. I was checking some stuff on Nanairo and read something I definitely shouldn't have. Ooooh well, onwards with courage, I guess.
  6. Do you really not find her cute!? https://i.gyazo.com/f7bda17d10b6a27a908dda4b4a4c8125.jpg I followed up on my initial plan and got both games, so I guess I'll be playing each for a while.
  7. Hmmm, I see. I did read that the story focused quite heavily on the sport itself, but didn't know it was the point it might overshadow the romantic side itself. I've always been a fan of sports anime, so there's that, but I have no idea how well that might translate into a VN. I'd prefer to play it for a while and then decide, but I believe there's no demo on Steam.
  8. Really? Must admit that it was actually the design of both works that initially caught my attention, as I find their styles really pretty. They also seem fairly different games, so I might even play both "at the same time". Seeing how you appear to have played Aokana, however, I wanted to ask: to what kind of story does it shift towards? Of its main tags, the only relevant seems to be "pure love story", which doesn't really tell me whether it's more dramatic or comedic/light-hearted.
  9. Finally have some time on my hands again, and felt like looking for smth to read. Currently debating between Aokana -Four Rhythms Across the Blue- and Nanairo Reincarnation, seeing that I can support both legally on Steam.
  10. @Seraphim88 That's pretty much it. It's a bit of a stark contrast because many of the characters, especially the main ones, are kind of one-sidedly pure and good. Those two are just... people, really. Both have their reasons and way of seeing the world and doing things and, perhaps more importantly, they don't have a window into the heart of other characters like we do. We know that Gakuto has a heart of gold, but for someone outside the group he might as well come off as a brainless, horny douche.
  11. Well, if you consider Chika to be a horrible person, then no, it's not worth it. Same with Kosugi. While both are very short, there isn't much of a point if you don't like the character.
  12. I'M STILL IN TIME HAPPY BAIRTHUDEIYU @Kenshin_sama
  13. Oh, my spoiler isn't too spoilery. Like, I don't mention which heroine or what happens exactly. It's just a slight clarification about the meaning behind the tag. It is, indeed, not a clear-cut case. There was quite the discussion some time ago in this forum regarding the issue, actually.
  14. It's a really difficult topic. I believe I know what it's referring to, and it's a really iffy scene, that kinda steps into that while also doesn't.
  15. I've heard that it has potential but the MC can be very bland. How does it feel?
  16. Only a child worries about a work being too childish for them. Not to speak about how that doesn't really affect its quality either way... Avatar: The Last Airbender is technically "for kids" and a masterpiece all the same. Furthermore, what you listed are kind of the soul and bread and butter of slice of lives. Little Busters is not a story about adventures or fighting. At least try to make your point respectfully.
  17. Oh boy, it really sounds that my namesake, the dear Inoue Jun, will probably be one of those. Considering it's the seiyuu of Gintoki (Gintama), he might be an expensive one.
  18. Read it now for its greatness, and later on get the JAST version to support the game's official release.
  19. You were not technically wrong in the sense that the entire show is very cynical. However, there's always an ongoing subplot of virtue of the people who do what's right because it's right. Both Lelouch and Suzaku end up learning their lesson (that their original absolutes go nowhere), which is why the show ends on an optimistic high note. While the world still has its share of problems, their final solution accepts that face of humanity and simply gives the world a reason to band together, kind of giving everyone a chance to work towards permanent peace "for realsies". Kind of similar to the ending in Watchmen, if you think about it. A secret plot by a madman who attempts to bring world peace by force after accepting mankind's flaws.
  20. I just don't buy it, you know? Almost every single one of my problems/complains could have been avoided or done much better with a little extra work, and most if not all the pivotal plot points of the story (up to where I am right now) completely fall apart when under scrutiny. @Mr Poltroon
