i just dont talk about it every chance i get. ill talk about it in some form of a topic that furthers the discussion but i wont bring it up every time or anything. ill talk it openly among fellow vn readers if its brought up, im not shy but theres a time and place for that stuff. could i go into detail about how i loved mayuchi willingly spreading her asshole so yamato can fuck it? sure, but it doesnt need to be said every time majikoi is brought up.

anyhoo, ive always liked h-scenes. hell, its what got me into vns in the first place. just a young guy looking to get off to 2d girls but instead of just looking at pictures, i went to vns. why? because after getting to know the girl, deciding which routes ill do first, choosing the right choices, H at the end of it all is just far more satisfying. and the fact that ive known the girls so well after all that investment and i finally get to see their lewd side adds another layer of enjoyment. the girls feel open to the mc in an intimate manner with the mc (most of the time) and is ready to do the deed.

those are my thoughts on it, good sir. if you have any questions, too bad!

I don't know how the quality of this particular VN is, since they don't bother promoting with English screenshots (not a stellar sign), but what you're saying is not what mitch said. It is one of the factors, not the entire benchmark.

    shit. Beat me to it.
Anime of the decade: Really hard to say, but I think Steins;Gate is a good contender. However, I am a moe bitch so I will pick Mysterious Girlfriend X.
Manga: Fuck, I don't read manga like that.
Game: Yall motherfuckas are forgetting about the mastapiece Super Mario Odyssey

VN: It's so hard to pick just one among all the amazing works I've met in the past decade. I'd nominate Chaos;Child, ISLAND, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception (I count it as a VN regardless of its RPG elements), Four Rhythms Across the Blue, and Senren*Banka. And finally I chose Senren*Banka because it brought me so much laughter, and the soundtrack is really awesome.
Anime: Little Witch Academia. Other nominees: Hyouka, Psycho-Pass (Season 1), Fune wo Amu, Zombie Land SAGA.
Manga: And Yet the Town Moves (half of the volumes are published in 2010s so I think it's fine). I was considering Attack on Titan but I picked a more joyous one at last. I also like Ayakashi Hisen, and I even bought the folding fan from the manga in Kyoto.
Game: Sekiro. Miyazaki-sensei is the best.

Gaming: I hope PC to play a bigger role for games from the jap. region, aside from VNs too as I try to get away from consoles again. At the AAA market I wouldn't even know where to begin, but I would hope for Live service and MP-focus in formerly SP-focused games to completely disappear if that were realistic.
Anime: More complete stories would be nice....
VN: I really miss big, VNs with a "heavy" story (I can't find a better term). There still are good ones, but somehow I get the feeling that most of them are currently too short and/or shallow. I hope that changes at some point.

Essentially, since @mitchhamilton made a thread covering what was best in entertainment (Japanese entertainment especially) media in the last decade, I thought I'd set out my dream results here.
Gaming Interface: True VR through either some kind of implant tech or through the use of a haptic suit of some sort (yes, I hate today's incomplete VR with a passion).
Anime: Sequels for all the junk-food isekai anime left incomplete over the last six years (and that's a LOT of anime)
Reading: I'd like to see a satisfying conclusion at least to the current (Mesan conspiracy) arc of Honor Harrington.  While the last entry in the series was godly, it still doesn't conclude the most important thread.
VNs: I'd like to see the rise of more plotge-specializing companies in JVNs and hopefully a new chuunige company to replace the loss of Light (if it doesn't end up lending its name as a subsidiary of Akabeisoft)
General Gaming: I know this will probably make me sound like an old fogey... but I'd like to see less focus on expanding multiplayer to ridiculous levels in gaming in general.  I wouldn't mind so much if people would stop feeding back multiplayer gameplay styles into solo gaming, which has been a trend for almost fifteen years now.  I'm really disgusted when I see MMO-style skill hot buttons in a solo rpg, and I hate it when there is no pause function in an action game.  Moreover, I seriously despise it when people insist on gluing on random multiplayer BS into games that function perfectly fine without it.

Steam being a more reliable platform for otaku media.
Streaming services for anime not being completely useless in my region (Eastern Europe).
That's pretty much it. I don't have many complaints with how things were the last decade, to be honest. I guess the AAA gaming market was a massive shitshow, but I don't think I care at this point. Most of the stuff I still have any kind of emotional connection to is indie, or old enough that it came out before the unreasonable monetisation and other mainstream-publisher abominations came to be. *shrug*

VN: The House in Fata Morgana. I believe, no comments are needed at this point. A year ago I would most likely choose Subahibi, but, thinking about it, it has way too many things that I personally don't really like.
Anime: Shinsekai Yori. It's a rather strange postapocalyptic story which may seem a bit random at first, but in the end provides really unique and self-contained experience. It also has one of the best endings I've seen in an anime so far. I don't think I've seen any anime from the last decade that I liked more.
I don't really read manga much, (at least, not particularly good manga) so skipped.
As for LNs/WNs, while I've been reading quite a lot of them recently, I don't think I've found any 10/10 LNs yet. As for my personal favorite, I guess I'll go with a relatively niche one called Shini Yasui Kōshaku Reijō to Shichi-nin no Kikōshi, because it somehow manages to combine everything I like in fantasy novels, like good world building, interesting and not particularly over the top characters, well written action, and intriguing mystery.

    VN: Evolimit
    Anime: Overlord
    JRPG: Tales of Berseria
Book: Honor Harrington series (I started it this decade, lol)
Evolimit is the VN made this decade that I come back to the most.  Yes, I love Light's games, but Evolimit has more great scenes and moments while being more accessible for normal people (instead of crazy text-addicts like me) so it is easier to talk about with other people.
Overlord's setting and characters, with the weird balance between humor and evil, have kept me fascinated enough to actually pick up an LN of my own will for the first time (I have had LNs thrust on me in the past).
Tales of Berseria left an impression that this mostly JRPG-dead ten years has generally failed to do, at least for me.  It brought back what I liked most about jrpgs while also managing to stand out from the tired norms that are endemic to the genre.  For the most part, the last decade has been a dead zone for good jrpgs, with only the Trails series still providing a solid first-line experience.
Honor Harrington has been a gift to me, as a sci-fi addict.  With a saga spanning over thirty years (at this point) just in the protagonist's lifetime (there are other side storylines that go far in the past) and a powerful cast of characters with lives that aren't sidelined by the action, I can't help but love this series.
Games in general have not really impressed me over the last ten years.  Most of the promised advances have not materialized, and for every step forward, it seems like another step and a half back have been taken.  I suppose it is because so much emphasis was placed on the multiplayer experience over the last decade that solo games have taken a backseat...

Visual Novel: If My Heart Had Wings/Konosora- Helps I was part of the Retranslation project as QC/testing but it's one of the best uplifting, wholesome stories I've ever read.
Anime: Dragon Ball Super- Seems like a kinda mixed reception but I loved almost everything about it and it was almost everything I wanted in a true Dragon Ball Z sequel.
Manga: My Love Story/Ore Monogatari - Kinda ties in with the anime but it was a very wholesome/funny story. Unlike anime actually had an ending.
Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Smash Bros is my favorite series, every game is an improvement somehow, and theres just too much good stuff.

VN: Mahou Shoujo (lifelike characters and interactions)
Anime: Simoun (could not expect an anime like this, it's like a moody space opera with character development)
    Manga: N/A
LN: Mushoku Tensei, it made me think about what it would be like raising a family. Grimgar: Has influenced me a lot over the years. Serious party combat isekai ftw.

Anime: One Punch Man Season 1, boring answer but i just loved the comedy and animation in it.

VN of the decade's gotta be the one I simultaneously never shut up about and also never say anything about, Subahibi.  I don't read manga so I'll abstain from that category.  I also only recently got into anime, so I'll abstain from that category as well.  Game of the decade's gotta be Just Shapes and Beats!

Personality-wise, I am tired of the 'usual' archetypes like osananajimi variations and the like.  I'm also tired of high schools as settings.  However, if you ask me whether I can still get it up for them... the answer is yes.  Most of them are no longer waifu material though, lol.

Hey, what's up? Here's some updates for the project:
Patricia's second H-scene, and another script after it which was removed, are done. Total lines done: 1287 out of 8586. Rounded up, that's 15% done so far!
Editing is currently sitting at roughly 9%. Like Zeph said, much of our team was busy for the holidays, myself included, but we should be picking our pace soon.
Here's hope next update we can bring it to 30%.
