I tried to watch/read this one when it came out... can't say I'm enthusiastic for a localization. For more positive commentary, the ero was good (better than most h-anime these days, which have become so similar to each other that you can't tell the difference between different series anymore).

you mightve seen the videos already to this but man this takes me back. never thought itd get a western release as this is pretty ancient but the artwork is stellar with full animated h-scenes AND no mosaics.

I really liked how it was handled, and while my friends who were manga readers mention stuff like changes or whatever, ultimately it felt like it made sense given who Eren was. It was satisfying!
I especially like the last part where Historia has an internal monologue about what Eren wanted for them vs. what the people want for themselves. I feel like it's very telling given the context of what happened to Eren at the peak of his titan powers and even Ymir's situation. Even with all of the powers of the world at his hands, if the people do not want the change he seeks, it will never manifest. Which ended up with another future conflict that led to Paradis being nuked.
Change is made not by a single will, but everyone's combined yada yada

yeah, the worst part of season 4 was the way it was released. took like, what, 3-4 years for season 4 to be finally over i think?
yeah, a lot of people miss the overall themes of the story which really surprised me, based on what disappointed them about the ending. theyre like zeke in the paths where he was wondering what the point was of doing anything at all except they missed the point overall that those few moments of happiness where there was no real goal but just to throw a ball back and forth, that was so precious to him. people just need to find that.

The ending where
in order to save the city Max reverts all changes she made to the timeline, so that means Chloe gets killed by Nathan
is very sad, but kind of makes sense, even if it is rather fatalistic. But I'd consider it "true" end.
And the second ending, where
the whole city gets swept away by tornado, everyone dies, and two girls ride away into the sunset in their pickup...
it made me feel like shit, although I can imagine some people could consider it "good end" - but not me
yeaah, i think the first one has a ton of problems and the endings being one of the biggest issue.
try true colors. i was amazed on how much i loved that game.

yeah, glad theyre going after trump legally but i worry nothing will come of it, nothing substantial like putting him behind bars.
as for biden, hes been a great president. deals with issues as they come and past ones such as abolishing student debts and providing relief for tragedies. if theres one thing i hope america has learned from the trump era is that congress needs a serious change so that embarrassment of a president never hops to win again or anyone like him.

theres been an odd lead up to the ending from the manga readers where they were expecting so many things. one being that the anime would have its own original ending that would fix the manga, that didnt happen, and then they thought we'd absolutely hate the ending as much as they did.
didnt really happen. as far as can see, the ending was overall well received.
but about the episode, and i guess the series itself is i thought it was great! some minor things here maybe but when i look back on the ending episode i appreciate it more and honestly get so, not even teary eyed but just really wanna break down and cry cause eren was a great character, and the part where he breaks down for his best friend really shows just how sad this ending is.
he doesnt want to die, he knows hes going to, no has to. hes the author of his own tragic story to make sure his friends can live peacefully. it may not be infinite but he succeeded and had to make him the ultimate evil form the world had to unite against.
but at the end of it all, he doesnt want to die. its so sad.

wasnt meant spirited at all just letting em know. and the topic did interest me but im not gonna sit through a video to learn about it.
as for making my own topics for discussions, as ange suggested, ive been on the site for 8 years. ive seen and created topics on various different subject matters and kind of ran out of ideas on what to create. so when a topic comes up thats personal to someone and makes me curious only to learn its a video, again on a site that is mostly in written form on top of focusing on visual novels its like eh.
you enticed me with something but i lost interest immediately when i saw how its presented. and yeah, it seems common that you create a topic and its only in video form.

I'm not excited about MAPPA, tbh. I'll admit I haven't watched that much of their anime, but I can say that Dororo only had one episode of quality animation (and the rest was just okay). I heard Zombieland Saga suffered from similar issues and that there were supposedly moments of cop-out CG animation.
They are capable of making quality animation, but not in the same capacity or consistency as WIT. It won't be a Madhouse -> JC Staff type of decline, but I'm almost positive that there will be a decline.
having seen part 1 of season 4, i can safely say the show is in great hands.
there is a bit of a downgrade in animation, in terms of some movements such as stiff characters standing and just talking and rotoscoping going on but overall, really solid. certainly not disappointed at all with mappa.
