  1. Thanks everyone! Also, I will enjoy.
  2. ok. This has been seriously bugging me; where is this picture from? I've seen it before but I don't know where. All I know is that it's an H-manga
  3. (Sigh) I hate having a sucky pc. Earlier i was working on "an introduction to 'If My Heart Had Wings'" but because of it being in high def, a small portion of the recording can take up a lot of space on my computer, and unfortunatly I have less than 3 gigs on my pc. Not only that but since its high def, the video lags, even though I don't having anything open (Not that I know of anyways) except IMHHW and fraps. I've always had troubles with fraps. Maybe I should get a pc recording software that wont eat up a ton of usage on my pc, or a pc that wont threaten to blow itself up every time I play a game on the lowest settings and walk into an empty room with one guy in it. Maybe I'll stick with podcast's because that is fairly simple. Just talk than in editing add still images or gameplay in the background that is relevant to what is being talked about at the moment. Have to make them short though, like 30 minutes perhaps?
  4. There's also Duel Savior. http://vndb.org/v309 It's a 2-d fighting game. You can use a controller for it.
  5. Still its pretty annoying how the game is like "Alright! Time to kick some butts with our battle system. Yay you won! Now watch the enemy still be alive and have it go on for what feels like hours." I wouldn't have mind if the battle system was taken out of the vn in favor of just describing it. Well maybe a little but its better than having a battle system that makes the player seem useless. Anyway I'm not saying the battle system sucked entirely, I just don't like how it doesn't really make much of a difference to the story. Like Decay said, it just feels like an unnecessary tool to continue the story.
  6. I have seen Clerks since then and I still enjoy the second one. The second one felt more like a resolution to their story while the first just felt like "Well, that just happened. Moving on." Plus I can relate to the attitude at the end of the second one of like "Yeah we're probably not gonna make a million, get the pretty girls, the fast cars, but what we ended up with is still pretty sweet."
  7. 9/10 Just something about the way she looks at you with her eyes that soothes the soul.
  8. So I finished Wanko's route a while ago and have yet to do her after story, but I wanna talk specifically about her main route and what people think of it. This topic will have spoilers for Wanko's route obviously, and maybe spoilers for other routes as well, so at least finish Wanko's route before reading this. What are your opinions on Wanko's route? I personally enjoyed it more than the other girls route. The other girls route sort of ended in a crazy "everything turns out alright for everyone" way. Sometimes the routes do so in a very........... odd way. What I liked about Wanko's route is that she tried her hardest to achieve her dream, harder than probably anyone we could meet. She poured her heart and soul into being an assistant to her sister and ultimately doesn't reach it. It is heartbreaking, especially the scene where she cries after learning what happened in the tournament. You could argue that it is Chris's fault that Wanko wasn't able to achieve her dream, but 1: Chris didn't know what she was doing and B: Wanko would've still lost against her sister. Wanko just didn't have the talent to a be a martial artist worthy of being an assistant to a master. Now on to what I liked about this route. As I said, this is the only route in the game where a character has a dream and it isn't fulfilled by the end of it. At least not her original dream. Plus this route has a great moment between Wanko and Momoyo. Where the characters and the readers see Momoyo cry for the first time. It shows just how much Momoyo loves her sister and how this choice was probably the hardest shes ever had to make in her life. What I liked about her route was it sort of had a Clerks 2 vibe to it (if you haven't seen that movie go see it. Doesn't matter if you haven't seen the original before you see it. I didn't and still enjoyed it.) since the characters realize that "This may not be the greatest life on earth but its pretty good." Sometimes in life there are battles you are not meant to win. Sometimes you give it your all and still lose. Its heartbreaking and can even be traumatizing but there is always hope and maybe through the struggles a new path opens up. In short, that's what I liked about Wanko's route. It was the most memorable for being harsh but honest. Your thoughts?
  9. There's Castle fantasia. http://vndb.org/v106 I had a hard time dealing with the main character but some of the gameplay parts were interesting so I still recommend it. Also I agree with what Decay said about Princess Waltz. For me I felt the combat was kind of pointless. Like this one battle I did early on I was fighting this monster and won. Then once it took me back to the reading part it said the monster was still alive and was still causing havoc. What was the point in me fighting and winning then if it was just going to continue its rampage? Also I think before or after the monster battle I fought this girl, I won and she was still kicking and almost kicked my butt. Again, what was the point in me fighting if this was the result? Also there where sections to that game that was just soooooooooo long and I started to slowly not care about these "epic" moments that was going on.
  10. Also remember that a review is different from an introduction to the vn. The difference is small but none the less there. A review is more opinionated with maybe some facts thrown in there, such as "The user interface for 'Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai' is huge, almost disorientatingly so. But that just means each individual reader can tweak the novel to his or her liking. Plus there is a tab for each part of the game you would like to adjust such as system, sound, and key config. I personally don't mess with the U.I. I mean, I sometimes get lost just trying to get out of my own bed in the morning. What makes you think I could possibly navigate that?" An introduction is letting the viewers know what kind of feeling the novel has so the viewer can judge on their own whether or not the vn is worth checking out. Also a review needs to let the viewers know whether or not you recommend it.
  11. 8. Nice coloring and pretty character. Although it does look like shes part snail.
  12. I've actually been thinking of posting videos that solely focus on vn's. Whether its blind playthroughs (I think the people who would be interested in this are people who've already played the vn and wants to see someone else experience with it.), reviews, Q&A, maybe some short gameplay of certain novels, podcasts, etc etc. Some would have to be done with just audio. I have some editing skills so I could add visuals to make it somewhat more interesting and make them short.
  13. True! Now may be a weird time to say it but I'm fond of you, Kurisu-chan. Next person has run out of deodorant two weeks ago.
  14. T-t-t-t-t-t-true! I-I-I-I-I'll b-b-beat you g-g-good. (Loses in less than 0.04 seconds) Next person will take me to the hospital.
  15. I seriously, SERIOUSLY need to stop my habit of starting a new vn and never finishing it because I got distracted by another vn, or a shiny object. You'll know what I mean. http://i.imgur.com/AILirCq.png
  16. True, and I actually enjoyed it. The next person's mom walked in on them during an H scene in a visual novel.
  17. Thank you! It's nice to meet you too.
  18. Hello and welcome to the site! Well....... welcome to the site with an official account. I hope you continue to enjoy your stay and make lots of new friends. have a wanko. http://i.imgur.com/rgAueqK.jpg
  19. False. I am time-leaping to kill someone. The next person hasn't taken a shower for a week.
  20. False! Unless I count. The next person writes fan fiction for "Boku no Pico"
  21. I'm sorry, I don't know anything about what you are talking about. I just wanted to say you have my support on this. I have been waiting forever for a Tony Taka's vn to be translated. As you may have guessed from my profile pic that one, I love the character design for Asa Mizushima, and two I love Tony Taka's work in general. I wish you the best of luck.
  22. So after not playing Minna Daisuki Kozukuri Banchou for like half a year and coming back to it, I forgot some game mechanics. Specifically the importance of having babies. What do they do? Before i took my 6 month hiatus I apparently impregnated one of my girls and came back a little before she gives birth. Now I don't know what I should do with it or what kind of value it has. The end, taken out of context, could really make me seem like an uncaring jerk. Also here's the game. http://vndb.org/v496
  23. HECK YEAH!! Persona 4 is my second favorite PS2 game and I love Persona 3! I have about 200 playtime hours in P4 and would buy a PSV for the sole purpose to play P4 Golden. Haven't beaten P3 yet even though I've had it for over a year. Also surprisingly P3 was the very first JRPG I ever played.
  24. YAY!! I knew there was a reason why that character was so appealing to me. Arigatou gozaimasu!!
