  2. >Be 13 years old at school >First day of sun over the winter >Teacher decides to celebrate by making sweet buns for all of us >We wait impatiently >Teacher finally comes out with the buns in a basket >They're so warm to the touch and my taste buds can't wait to have at the sweet deliciousness >Bring bun up to the mouth and take a solid bite >A strong salty taste reaches my tongue >Chew up and swallow >"wtf" >Suddenly every student is spitting it out and yelling >Teacher apologizes for accidentally replacing the sugar with salt >In the end I was the only one who ate it up regardless >It was salty >But I did it for the salt >Salt is love >Salt is life
  3. I swear I'm the king of combobreaks, especially sliderbreaks. Even though I can beat pretty difficult maps, I still can just about never get a solid combo and not a chance in the world of getting a FC on a map... That's the main reason I have so little PP considering my playcount.
  4. Depending on when this event will happen (EU times and all), I'd love to participate! I only really play standard Osu! so that would be my gamemode of choice.
  5. I don't want to sound like I'm forcing anything onto you here, but I've never been a fan of µTorrent myself. If you don't find a solution to this problem, I strongly recommend that you check out Deluge (http://deluge-torrent.org/). It's a feature-packed torrent client that runs on just about any platform, and it's open-source, with all the benefits to it. I've been using it for a long time on both Linux and Windows, no problems have been experienced on either.
  6. I have only played a couple of routes, but yes, I did have the same feeling at the very beginning. The humour was there, it was funny and all, but I really don't like the protagonist screwing up all that much. It didn't stop me from playing though, and that was a good choice, because I went from disliking him quite a lot to seeing him as a well-done character. Rewrite wouldn't have been what it is if it wasn't for that guy. You can't know if you've just played a little bit of the common route, but once you've started playing a bit more you'll probably understand.
  7. I've bought the textbook "Genki I", and I've come to the 4th lesson now. I can read (but not write by hand quite yet) both hiragana and katakana. Haven't touched kanji yet, though I know some of the very basic ones (time, day, month, weekdays etc.). It's really fun though, so I'm definitely going to keep studying!
  8. ...Damn! Anyway, thanks for the nice replies! Definitely feel like I've come to the right place now.
  9. Hello everyone, Suzuki-san here. (for lack of a better name) I haven't been into visual novels for so long. I started playing "Little Busters!" back in January and have also picked up Rewrite. I haven't finished either, which I am a bit ashamed of, but I'm getting there. I've been watching more light-hearted slice-of-life comedy anime than I'd like to admit, but even though it may be my favourite thing to relax with, I very much enjoy a good story from time to time. I've been interested in computers in general ever since I was very young, have built and maintained several ones through the years. I've recently seriously picked up GNU/Linux (Debian is mai waifu), and I'd like to start using that 100% as soon as I get a good grip on it, and most of all when hardware and software developers get their stuff together. So far I've only had "Little Busters!" work on my Linux box using Wine, but I hope better support will be added in the future so I can play more easily. That's probably one of the main reasons I watch more anime than I play visual novels. I haven't learned any real programming language yet, other than the most basic HTML and CSS for web development. I'd really like to learn some of that soon, but my top priority language right now is Japanese, which I have started to study as well. I may be progressing slowly, but I've bought a textbook and I'm well on my way. The goal is to be able to watch all the anime, read all the visual novels and all the manga. And I also have a desire to study abroad in Japan, it would be nice to get a change in things from the way they are here in Norway. Anyway, that's it for my introduction. I hope you'll welcome me in your community!
