  1. So I know a good bit of Spanish now, and I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in "Supreme Candy" being translated into English using the Spanish translation currently available. I'm not making any promises, I just want to know if anyone would be interested as I might consider doing it as a side project sometime in the future. (oh yeah, haven't been here in years, no idea where this post goes :p)
  2. Yes, it seems the general opinion of people has remained the same. Regardless, I might do this more for my sake than others. I might have been too humble with how my Spanish is. I'm sure it can be read fine, with the essence of the story coming through, however, there will always be minor details missing (probably Japanese jokes or expressions translated into their Spanish equivalents). Eh, either way, someone's bound to read it.
  3. I've seen it. Though I don't know if people have changed their minds. Either way, I might do this if I have some time. Gotta finish reading it first.
  4. Well, my only problem is that the TL might be on par with a machine translation, if not worse. I know a lot of people here hate that.
  5. Since Sekai Project is going crazy picking up titles everywhere and releasing them on steam and what not, I just had to ask this question of my fellow Visual Novel fans: What visual novel do you want to see officially translated (by any group)? I'll go ahead and say my own feelings... What I want officially translated has to be G-senjou no Maou and Rewrite. Rewrite seems like it could happen but as G-senjou is an eroge, it might take some time. (I have no clue if this was done before, but who needs to be original these days anyways? ...apart from Ren. Keep it up.)
  6. I show up every now and then.

  7. What your perfect and worst VN you ever read?

Shinigami no kiss has to be the worst visual novel I have ever played. It was boring from the start, with three of the four main characters depressed/monotone. The random comedy scenes didn't fit the atmosphere. There are so many perfect visual novels for me. VNDB seems to frown upon people giving multiple tens, but I can't help it. MLA, Rewrite, and G-senjou are examples. Comyu was close to perfect, but some of the big "plot twists" were predictable. Ever 17 is also an amazing visual novel (which I never finished for some reason). I guess I like a good plot and interesting story. I'm a simple man.
  8. Violet Hill (DEMO released)

This project is still going strong eh? Good to see it alive, sad to see it struggling. I hope you find a new writer!
  9. Fuwa Skype Group

Last time I joined a fuwa skype group it was chaotic... I lost something important but I can't remember what...
  10. Galaxy Angel Font Problem

Yeah. You can run the program "regedit" which is built into windows, but I wouldn't recommend it. I actually had to mess around in it to get Rewrite working. Is it a game-breaking bug, or is it just annoying? I hate to say it, but if its just annoying, you may have to live with it. It may just be the way the program was programmed. Also, when you did a clean install, did you ever re-download it (or were you using a legal copy)?
  11. Galaxy Angel Font Problem

I'm not sure if the game uses it, but look in the registry and delete any values associated with the game and the font. Be careful doing this though... Or you could format your computer. That always fixes things.
  12. Magical Marriage Lunatics! Official TL Thread

I can't say for certain that it was entirely google translate. It might have been a line he struggled with, it happens. Regardless, I don't want to release something that may or may not have an accurate translation.
  13. Reading lot's of visual novels but not active on fuwa for various reasons~

  14. Magical Marriage Lunatics! Official TL Thread

It is somewhat difficult to explain without blaming certain parties. The reason this translation project was discontinued may very well have been due to MangaGamer, though I would like to think that if my suspicions were true, then it was doomed to fail from the start. Prepare for a long story (probably). I contacted MangaGamer about our project so that we could receive some TLC, something we were dying to obtain at the time. They agreed to *take a look* at one of the scenes we had finished translating and editing, and when I sent the files to them, I noticed a lot of unfamiliar usernames browsing the files (Nawhal, for example). I was pleased to see that there were few "glaring issues" as they said, but they alerted me to one translation in particular that sounded strange. Before notifying the translators to review the segment of the scene, I quickly ran the line under a machine translator, Google in this case. What I discovered wasn't what I wanted to see. I saw that the translated line was, word for word, what the translator had written. I can only guess that it this translator had being using a machine TL the entire time, somehow dealing with the test. This particular translator had also done the majority of the translation I had edited, and that was a lot. I did try looking for more translators and TLCs to help out, but I couldn't find any. MangaGamer never did contact me again either. We do still have the script, which definitely has some quality translations and editing, like Zephy's TL for example. I hope someone does pick up this project again, as it was a pretty good Moege.
  15. So, I recently downloaded Ef, fairy tale of the two lite from a non-fuwanovel source, and discovered it without sound. After doing some web searching for a solution, I found a brief statement that the prologue/menu is supposed to be without audio. However, I am now into chapter one, and I have yet to encounter and music, voice acting, sounds, ect. I tried several things to solve it: -I went to the in-game options panel, and pressed a test audio button (Which played no audio) for each setting -I extracted bg2 and bg3 (containing what looks like bgm files), however nothing resulted in this, apart from my folder being crammed (I later deleted that and re installed a new copy). -Re installed the game using the same files/installer. -I did not touch the s2 and s3 files. (s2, s3, bg2, and bg3 were all compressed into their respective folders upon installation of the game.) So yeah. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome. This vn looks good so far and I don't want to play it without audio unless I absolutely have no other choice. Side note: The updater client doesn't work either. Status code: 404 (Cannot download files, files not found) Temporary Fix here: I put the entire EF folder into c drive. Suddenly everything works smoothly. HOWEVER. Do not press backspace aka the boss key. I pressed it accidentally and suddenly it broke again. Thus, despite the temporary fix, I still need help.
  16. pleased to meet you minna-san !

Welcome to fuwanovel, home of some awesomely strange people... and it will soon become your home too... heh...
  17. Away for a week.

  18. Comyu Ending Explanation PLEASE!

This pretty much sums it up. The very end of the ending isn't anything fancy.
  19. Well I know what I'm doing tonight

    ...A valuable lesson on cake.
  20. Certainly. There's no way we would all learn at the same pace, or understand things the same way, but we could always motivate each other.
  21. 15 kanji a day? That would be too many for me. I like to keep it simple with 5-10, as I may get overburdened with my other studies.
  22. Here is my (late) advice: I unfortunately cannot help with the cracked version, as I cannot read the warning. I can make a good guess though: the game recognizes you are using a cracked version and wants you to purchase a legitimate copy. I cannot speculate any further without the support of another. If you use an uncracked version, there may be a registration system you need to go through, which will require you to enter a code (inside the game's box) during installation (usually). That would explain the user id and password requirments from DMM. DMM is a large Japanese company which deals in many facets of entertainment, and so that login screen is to prevent piracy.

Wait, I just woke up. I guess I'm alive? Or maybe this is a dream...
  24. How large is the entire folder for the visual novel (not the exe)? If it's under 200mb, odds are you don't actually have the visual novel at all. Also... Are you using a japanese locale?
