  1. Classroom of the Elite comes to mind here. This is one of the last few school setting LN adaptions I decided to follow before I got completely sick of them, which is a good thing since I actually enjoyed this a fair bit. Back when it was airing, it got so much heat for going original that it was just downright ludicrous, and it was the only major complaints I saw coming out of it. I think it's exactly because this anime avoided the standard approach to adaptation that it was able to make something that was suitable for the medium. If it hadn't, it likely would've added itself to the pile of SoL LN anime trash that has been churned out time and time again. Instead, we got a controversial anime with enough substance to make it worth talking about two years later. Classroom of the Elite isn't something I'd consider great by any stretch of the word (all it has going for it is exciting scenarios and a solid protagonist), but it was a damn fun watch! Kind of a shame people have to be so uptight about faithfulness. >.< As for this season... I, uh, haven't started it yet. xD I'll get around to watching something in a bit. Kinda disappointed that Accelerator isn't very highly rated (I'll still try it, though).
  2. With my limited knowledge of Japanese, I might not be giving an accurate answer. I typed katagiri and used a couple suggestions from IME to fill in the kanji in Jisho. This is what I got. https://jisho.org/search/片桐 https://jisho.org/search/片切 Someone might be able to give a better answer, though.
  3. I was pretty stoked for the Shield Hero anime, but it just wasn't as gripping as it was in the beginning. Shame too; this show had potential. I do plan on finishing it eventually, but I kinda stopped caring at episode 17. I couldn't make it past 3 weeks for anything in Spring, either. I'm all for cute moe stuff, but neither of the two SoL anime I picked up this season had much going for the characters. I even lost interest in Senko-san once its novelty wore off. My two main criteria for enjoyable slice of life is that the characters need to have serious and well-written development, like Bunny Girl-senpai, or it must have crazy, over-the-top shenanigans, like Noucome. Though Senko-san was warm, wholesome, and cute, it just couldn't my interest very long because it wasn't that engaging. I might give Senryuu Shoujo another shot, though, just because my friend likes the manga, and the main paring has decent chemistry.
  4. Oh shit, I think I only watched a few weeks of the previous season. Hopefully this one manages to keep my attention. Dr. Stone, Arifureta, and Accelerator are gonna be on my watch list for the time being. I'm especially looking forward to Dr. Stone since I've been riding on a hype train with the last 2 shounens I watched (Seven Deadly Sins and Hero Academia).
  5. How the hell did Yui Horie not make this list? I get that there are way too many godly seiyuu out there to fit on a single poll, but still.
  6. Yeah, that S2 is almost definitely not happening. Not after that whole fiasco with Mitsuhiro Ichiki... https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-09-04/kokoro-connect-staff-issues-statements-on-performer-treatment A real shame, too. Apparently this was the result of a harmless joke gone viral, and everyone losing their shit for no reason. This is why we can never have nice things.
  7. Huh, I find it a bit strange you have Golden Time on your list, but not Toradora. That was done by the same author, and to put it frankly, it was vastly superior in every aspect. The anime does make it clear who the main girl is, and it does develop the relationship consistently (though it starts off in a roundabout way). The drama is there, but I'd like to think it was fairly organic and well-written. It serves a clear purpose in developing the characters, and it does invoke a genuine feeling of sympathy because the characters are so easy to grow attached to. And, most importantly, the romance is both conclusive and satisfying. On the other hand, I think Golden Time rushes into the main pairing's relationship way too quickly. Instead of making romance the endgame, Golden Time brings it to the forefront of the story, essentially removing all of the anticipation that normally comes with the genre. You'd think it was a novel concept that could go somewhere interesting, but, unfortunately, the anime does not handle it gracefully. It tries to pull this off by implementing copious amounts of frustrating drama and ill-conceived pseudo-psychology (specifically pertaining to Banri's condition) in an attempt to maintain the audience's interests. The only way I was able to tolerate that anime was Kouko. Even though the author might've taken a number of missteps with the romance, she can still pull off a damn good heroine! It's not something I'd heartily recommend to romance enthusiasts, especially if they haven't watched Toradora. That said, I do kinda feel for the author, because it would be a serious challenge to create a suitable follow-up for something as successful as Toradora (it was a big deal around the time it was published).

  9. Yay, nostalgia thread! I always thought this was a bit of a quirky song when I heard it as a kid. Probably still holds the gold for the most misleading start to an anime OP.
  10. Harem☆Party. Normally I enjoy harem stuff, but the characters were dumb beyond belief, and I couldn't commit more than 10 minutes to it. Even if it is just a fap game, there needs to be something to keep me going till the juicy bits.
  11. You're welcome! Have you considered reading Chrono Clock? It's fun, and the girls are too damn cute! Hey, what exactly do you mean by regress? Are you trying to trying to imply something here?
  12. What surprises me even more is to see you come back to life. Welcome back, Kosaki!
  13. I'm gonna miss seeing ya around in the confessions thread, pal. But hey, if this is what you need to do to take another step forward, then go for it. My circumstances are a bit different from your, but I've had to let go of things, too. Shite, there are still things I'm struggling to let go of. But oh man, once you do remove those shackles, it is the greatest feeling in the world. And for what it's worth, I don't think your parents made a mistake giving you free rain to browse the internet. I'm sorry to hear that your experience on this site ended up as terribly as it did for you, but on the plus side, you'll be so much stronger now because of it. Right now, you are doing something that a lot of people can only dream of, and you should be proud of that. I wish you the best. Keep moving forward and live the life you want to.

  18. Seriously, those games are an even bigger headache than the PC variants. I was playing those games up until I saw my therapist, and it wasn't until our session was over that I realized how badly I needed to get away from them. I've been off my sleep schedule for about a week now, and I've even put on an entire 6 pounds from overeating and lack of exercise. It was a miserable ordeal, but I just could not convince myself to quit. Well, that's changing today. I've already deleted the app from my phone, and even took it a step further by deleting my entire account (so that I'm not tempted to go back). I'm also reaching out to a prominent youtuber for Runescape to host a giveaway for both my main and ironman accounts (yeah, I actually made two accounts on a p2w game, and no, it was not cheap).
  19. Hey, remember how I said I had a good method for coping with my MMO addiction? Turns out I was lying to myself. I've allowed myself to become a complete wreck since I started playing Runescape, and I delved even further into madness with Android gaming. I thought I could manage my addictive tendencies with proper awareness, but I failed miserably (those daily login incentives get me every time). Just thought I'd let you know in case you had any lingering thoughts of going back. It's not worth it.
  20. Hey guys, sorry for letting the thread die a little. D: I'll get back to being active again.
