  1. Yuru Yuri is a pretty fun show. Enjoy the yuriness! Also, I started Gosick today. Despite having some expectations for this anime based on the general reception, it's turning out to be a lot better than I anticipated. <3 Victorique. And even though I'm only on episode 3, this is already an incredibly satisfying experience for me as a romance enthusiast. I can't wait to see how the rest unfolds. The mysteries are really interesting as well.
  2. The last part was really hard to pull off with a hidden mod, but I finally nailed it!
  3. Granted, but you have to wear birth control glasses. I wish I had access to all the internets!
  4. Could have SS'd this, but lolis are so damn distracting. It was when this image (NSFW) came up that I hit the green. Feels like I'm becoming an ero Osu gamer lately. Edit: Damn this song is cool. If you usually don't download maps with the video, I'd recommend making an exception for this one. It's worth the extra size. https://osu.ppy.sh/b/140486
  5. Ranked at 31 for this! Actually starting to enjoy using both visibility mods. :> The beat of that song gave me so many DDR vibes. I loved it!
  6. I got my 1st top 50! But something doesn't feel right. Am I 47 or 49? Either way, I feel pretty awesome right now. Now I just need to work on not sucking at spinners so I can get better ranks.
  7. I'd use it if I were to come across it, but I don't really feel like searching for it (pretty lazy). Would be a good idea, though.
  8. Doesn't happen as often with an S, but seeing an SS on the screen freaks me out sometimes. I really should stop paying attention to the percentages during a song's downtime. I wonder how that guy would be if he saw rrtyui's SS on The Big Black. Probably best that no one shows him. I don't like that mod. I'd actually be less likely to achieve the score than I would otherwise. Got a bit of an anxiety disorder. ;_;
  9. The song really fits the image. https://osu.ppy.sh/s/26452 God, now I need to find a twins doujin.
  10. Interesting tidbit on how windows accel works. That's true, but muscle memory can be adjusted. It'd definitely put a delay on progression depending on how flexible your mind is, but I wouldn't say it'd hinder you entirely. For me, I think being set on my current style would put a damper on my performance threshold. I could be wrong, but I think certain styles will have a limited performance threshold that would keep you from doing well on certain songs (especially if you're aiming for Osu's hardest). Plus, I'm still not entirely adjusted to mouse and keyboard yet (or at least not as proficient as I was with clicking), so adding in a few extra tweaks won't put too much of a delay on my progression.
  11. Sometimes it's best to go with what you're use to. Generally, I prefer adjusting how I play a game. I do this for just about every game I play. I explore different gameplay methods, change up my technique, try doing new things, etc. I prefer doing it once I've gotten comfortable with a style since I tend to have a better idea on what I need to adjust and it just works for me. But that's just how I play games, it's not always the right thing to do (especially for Osu). Also, I'm getting the hang of mapping now. The first throw-together I did for Scarlet was really sloppy in some ways. I'm aiming to make this map challenging, and it definitely feels like I can do a lot with this music's style, but I'm having the most difficult time getting my vision straight enough to execute the beat mechanics properly. I'll probably look around a few threads and see what I can do to improve.
  12. Oh shit. I didn't think windows accel would mess you up this bad. I changed that back to 6 and 3500 feels really natural to me. It almost feels like my mouse became an extension of my body! Thanks for the tip.
  13. All I can say is wow. That is some brilliant editing!
  14. Yeah, I got the idea to start upping my DPI from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIWkOj9gkTs. The mouse barely moves from the center and it looks a lot easier to control the mouse. I've got mine set to 3250 with 1.0 and it feels fine to me. I still have a hard time spinning at that speed, but I'll adjust to it eventually. Also, if you are looking to get a new mouse, I'd invest in Logitech's g500. Takes a bit to get use to, but it's pretty fantastic for precision.
  15. Okay, I'm almost sure I got the timing down now. I'll start mapping that song tomorrow.
  16. A lovu-dovu trend eh~ Lol! Still not entirely caught up on my new style, but I'm starting to get better adjusted to using keys. Timing the beats is still a bit tricky now that I'm using both sides of the brain for both hands, but I'm still hitting beats a lot more consistently now. Clicking may make it more simple to time the beats, but the physical limitations still make it too much of a struggle to game with. I'm thinking of investing in a tablet one day (not only for Osu, but for manga and LNs), but I might just stick with mouse. I should try tweaking my dpi a little too. Edit: I think I might try my hand at making a beatmap too. I'm surprised that there aren't any ranked beatmaps for Karin's OP. I mean, yeah, the anime is pretty old and not entirely memorable (the manga was much better), but the OP was pretty damn good. I'll definitely start with this since it's one of my favorite anime OPs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCLtFJEh3Kk Now I just need to read up on the guidelines for making a beatmap. Gonna make an easy, normal, and hard for this.
  17. There's a parody creature and a luscious background. It's an amazing combination!
  18. I almost died from the mushiness!
  19. Didn't think I'd ever be able to S this one. Lengthy, 1000-note songs are rough for me. ._. This one had a few tricky spots too. Great song, though. It's my favorite from the Maeda x Yanagi collection.
  20. I was like that last week, but then I got the urge to play again after my break. Taking a break every once in a while isn't a bad idea. Breaks are even more necessary for rythm games because of the amount of focus needed on them. I remember taking a lot of them when I played DDR and GH.
  21. I decided to make a switch from mouse clicks to keyboard + mouse. I feel like I have a lot more freedom of control with my mouse than I had before. I didn't like it when I tried it initially, but now it feels nicer on the harder songs. My spins are a lot faster too. The only downside is having to develop the muscle memory for it. I can barely do any of the songs I use to do! >.< But yeah, I'm starting to see the futility of clicking at this point. Distance beats aren't a problem for me, but the fast ones are. I'm hitting the fast ones a lot more consistently now, but my accuracy still sucks due to lack of muscle memory. I'm hitting a lot more 100's than I usually do. I actually got a D for the first time ever. @_@
