  1. Kind of a lame video, but hey! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FC_c_ouuMg
  2. You know, I'm just gonna cheat this game and take the cute bishoujo from his signature. :3
  3. And I think it's working! I ended up getting this just from a quick session and got another 6 PP! It literally took me one hour, and the process didn't feel grindy at all. Still, I missed my FC at the end of the map, but it's a huge improvement from where I was with this map yesterday (I could only get up to 329 on my combo).
  4. Your rage is understandable, lol. It's no problem. My aim isn't so much to have high acc with mods be the ultimate objective, but to use it as a means to keep consistent quality with your improvement as you climb up the ranks. My methods aren't really geared towards beating maps at higher difficulty, but to complete them as efficiently as possible for better ranks. There's still an emphasis on progressing difficulty with my method, but doing low-performance maps is more of a measure for how far your training has taken you and a way to mentally prepare yourself for easier maps that you've had struggles with. Keep in mind that just simply playing a map that challenges you in some way is guaranteed to progress your skill, and once you've gone from the bottom and start working your way up from the harder maps, it's a chance to improve at that map so you can start playing it with efficiency. I will eventually hit 6 stars using this method, and I'll integrate it into my training so I can play them with as much accuracy as possible after practicing for some time. And of course, I wouldn't be this driven if it was that easy to rank. ^^ Well, the exercise isn't meant to have those mods as a hard substitute for doing insanes. As I mentioned, if I can't even achieve an FC with the mods, I won't bother training them (the mods are, more-or-less, there to refine my skill and get use to using mods during gameplay). I probably should have mentioned this sooner, but I will have 2-star maps integrated as well for accuracy practice, but I plan to eventually 3-mod rank with harder difficulties as I progress. The mods are basically me improving my performance using a wide range of difficulties and challenges. And even 2-star HRs can be tricky when set up a certain way. Getting use to those tricky mechanics will help you a lot in the long run. Absolutely nothing wrong with this. It's just that my preferences warrant me wanting to improve. I look at replays on maps like this, and I get a strong urge to want to play at that level! Again, I know it's aiming ridiculously high for any standard, but my goal is to one day rank in the top 50 of the hardest setting on a Saten map (seriously, I love the way this guy designs his maps). Hell, I've had that urge ever since I started looking at replays for Wahrheit. Hell, I've even done 140 vanity plays just because I was attracted to it (I have a very unhealthy mindset when it comes to gaming). But by all means, just simply playing the game WILL improve your skill, and it's generally funner depending on your preferences. For me, I love planning things out and working with a structured layout on stuff. It's just how I am. And considering how it coincides with my desire to get better, it all works out! And I can't emphasize this enough, but even acc training can still be fun for me, so it's no problem at all. The only reason I mention it is to give you guys an idea, or an inspiration, on how you can change things up to better improve your performance. But if you're content with how you play, then you're basically in the most ideal position you can be for playing Osu. Yeah, I have an unusual knack for organizing things. If you looked at my folder layout in Windows Explorer, you'd see that I have things set up rather intricately, but in a way that allows me to open files in the most convenient way possible. Believe it or not, I actually enjoy organizing things. The hour I spent on organizing my maps into sections went by in a flash. Actually, WoW doesn't even require that much effort to get good. More-or-less, your performance is based on research, trial and error experimentation, theorycrafting, and setting up your interface. If you can master those aspects, you're basically 80% of the way there to playing amongst the elites. The 20% is filled by live experience. Unfortunately, the only way to get better at raiding is through sheer raiding, and those take a lot of time to set up. Even dungeons will only help you to improve so much for raiding (dungeons generally require a lot less attention to detail as compared to raids). But Osu is a lot more reliant on practice due to its large variation of mapping styles and it doesn't require multiplayer to improve (although it's always more fun to play with friends). WoW raiding is extremely rinse and repeat, so all you have to do is get use to the fight mechanics once you've mastered your play style.
  5. Most people would likely have Mare as their favorites (she's not my #2 waifu, but she is m 2nd favorite character). But the girl that takes the gold for me is Yume. I could go more into her personality, but I think it's best if you found out when you got to her route. You'll definitely have something to look forward to. ^^
  6. Unfortunately, I can't just simply play like that. But no worries, I'm actually one of those guys that can have a lot of fun with improving alone. And I'll never play a map seriously if I don't enjoy it. In fact, I'm more likely to trash it than anything else (I have about 1600 maps downloaded, so I'm not worried about variety, lol). But yeah, I suppose it's a thing I picked up from WoW. Believe it or not, I use to perform on a worldwide level as a melee dps. I'm hoping to do something similar for Osu. It took me a year and a half to get that good on WoW, and I'm hoping to get that good for this game within that timeframe. God, I haven't had this drive in a while. Be prepared for a colossal wall of text. I've put a lot of thought into this method, and it's fairly complex as well, so I can't really put it in a short statement, lol. And don't worry, I've been meaning to write this out anyways, so it's not too much of a bother for me. I'll eventually get it on video once I've gotten use to using it a lot.
  7. <3 Kosame. She's like my #2 waifu from Hoshimemo. #1 being Yume. Ei ei ei!
  8. Oh yeah, I'd highly recommend reading SAO if you liked the anime. The LN has so much more depth to the characters and setting (the game mechanics are explained much better). There'll be a few scenarios that'll make more sense as well. Unfortunately, the deus ex machina is still there, but the hospital scene will be explained in greater detail. That and the author knows how to write an exciting battle scene! Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed the combat in the LN more than the anime.
  9. Experimenting with a new improvement method. Seems to be working out pretty decently for me. And damn I got a good number of points today! 2 days ago, I was ranked at 101k. Now I'm at 89k! I'll probably write a guide for what I'm doing one day (still need to do a little more research).
  10. I've only watched S1 and the OVA, and I vaguely remember Tohka being annoying. She has a cute voice actor though. ^^
  11. Granted. You venture off to the lost woods, never to be heard from again. I wish I had a better sleep schedule.
  12. Lmao, this guy reminds of this angry Irish person I knew on WoW. He said shite too! In fact, he got half our guild saying shite (myself included)! Good times. ^^ Edit: Found this on Osu. Fun song. ^^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bjuWIYfqDw
  13. Granted, but it's completely packed with poorly animated hentai and can't be deleted. I wish I was in the top 50 on Osu.
  14. I had to give myself a couple greens. I was on the verge of passing out with that SS. XD But still, holy sweet mother of god! Definitely my greatest accomplishment on Osu! ☆*・゜゚・*\(^O^)/*・゜゚・*☆ Maef, remember how I said I initially got 5 points from the A I got last time? Well, I got another 7 from this! That's like a 12-point total from when I first started practicing this map. Edit: Also, Al, you missed out! After you left, we did a pretty awesome fap map! https://osu.ppy.sh/s/102666 (lyrics NSFW) Also, thanks for the multi, Maef! I definitely feel like I got something from that (might be what attributed to my score on Miren).
  15. Railgun's great. The 2nd season is even in my top 5 anime. The filler arc after it wasn't as exciting, but the Sisters Arc was nothing short of spectacular. It was adapted panel-by-panel from the manga, and packed with even harder feels and better action sequences. But out of all the works I've come across from this franchise, I'd have to say that the Index LN is the best. Railgun may be ranked 5th on my anime list, but Index is my favorite in the LN/manga department. You can tell I'm a pretty hard Raildex fanboy. But yeah, the Index LN has so much depth to the universe, an anime could never hope to capture it. It's fantastically written, and Touma's characteristic monologues make him a more likable character in the LN than he is in the anime. In fact, the Sisters Arc in Railgun S was the only anime segment that actually did justice to his character. And if you're anything like me, you might be better off reading the LN before the anime. That way you'll at least have fresh content for the LN which takes a lot more time to read as compared to watching the anime.
  16. Granted. You did not make a wish for us to corrupt. ^^ I wish I could battoru!
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zBczS6EYcg ∑(っ°Д°っ
  18. Yes, literally anything. Make it the most cringe-worthy manga you've ever read in your entire life. You seem to be living it to the fullest! B)
  19. I may be the type to cry at just about anything that was meant to be emotional, but I'm pretty damn resilient to mindfuck hentai. No matter how messed up it is, I'm very unlikely to bat an eyebrow. Feel free to post something that might make me cringe, just know that I've laughed at every person who's ever tried. That said, I usually read them as more a means of challenge rather than enjoyment, so I don't read them regularly. Started reading Onii-chan ga, Suki. Another brilliant work from Inuboshi. It's also decensored (as all good works from this artist should be).
  20. Mochiron~ Those are the best kind! I wouldn't go anywhere near a 3D loli. ._.
  21. Getting use to using a different device for Osu is like weapon mastery in RPGs. There can be clear advantages to using a different weapon, but it's something you have to build on from scratch. Like say you're level 50 or whatever using the mouse and keyboard and level 35 using just a mouse to click. If you were just starting out, you would be level 1 using a tablet. Now, your overall level would give you the right expertise to use an inferior weapon on monsters that would otherwise outmatch it (or in this case, beats), you would be able to train that skill up faster than you would have with your previous weapon. However, you do not want to tackle beats at your current overall level with a new weapon, so you want to build that skill up by defeating inferior beats to train your new weapon skill. And by the time you've gained enough weapon XP to bring it up to the level 50 you had with the mouse and keyboard, you're basically able to use all the perks that come with using that weapon proficiently. The only downside to changing your play style is that you need to take time training another skill rather than advancing with your current mastery.
  22. My check is coming in soon, so thankfully I'll be able to buy a new mousepad with that. Still waiting for a response to my headset problem so I can get that sorted out. I ended up having to deal with a rough update for Win7 and since then I haven't been able to get my headset working. It happened during a 3-hour Osu marathon, I didn't notice the notification at all, and everything started closing on their own when the update hit. So, yeah, lesson learned: don't let Windows update automatically. Once all that shit's cleared out, I'll definitely join in as well! I'm sure I have something worth throwing in out of my 1000+ maps.
  23. Granted, but the cheap transportation methods you use end up crashing in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal for help. > I wish I had a really good idea.
  24. I live somewhere better. That place has twice as many lolis! ;D
