I also feel like I don't know most of the new members in the VN discussions part of the forum, as if Fuwa has moved on from me and I'm kind of left behind somehow, as an old member who never really had much of an impact here after all.

Whilst knowing the people can make it a comfortable place, I also find it highly interesting to get to know new people.
For instance, there's these three 'new' members who have no avatar -- yet I know them all as distinct entities. Unthinkable!

There's a number of new people flowing in at all times (and of old people disappearing), and it is fun to see how some of them stay for good.

Edit: I mean, I've been here about as long as you. A lot of people have come and gone, but that's just natural. The community changes with time. But it's still there, though not as you remember it.

That and not all old people just  disappear, i still visit the site on a almost daily basis.
I just dont play that much visual novels any more as of the last two years.
I have a lot less time and i like a light novel almost just as much and it is a bit more portable.
