  1. OMG you are kidding me. So I had it in my palm the whole time, but I just toss it away as a trash... I'm such an idiot. Thank you, really. But still, for the education sake, why that one file isn't extracted? Is it because it's too large and some kind of space-limit overflow? I have created some data-handling programs myself (mostly just wav or bmp though), so I have some basic idea what are those extractors doing, but... I don't know Java or C#, so those source codes tells nothing to me...
  2. Haha, and there goes all my expectations. Thank you so much for creating this version for me, but the only information I've got from this is, that the script_charactor.dat file nor any other of those now accessible files actually contain what I'm looking for. You see, inside the script_charactor.dat file you can find images like this: So I have logically expected, that the script_charactor_face.dat file will contain what is missing, but there are just "teasers" like this: I'm starting to hate this game, really. There is even someting like emote, but you just can't use it to finish the face, because it creates completely different images. I know that the desired part may be assembled in just one image that I just happened to miss, but... There is actually still a file that wasn't extracted correctly. It's name is "adummy.dat" (35,938 kB) and even now it contains only zeros. Unfortunately, it's path is res.dat\adummy.dat so I have to share the whole resource now: https://dfiles.eu/files/hwpn85k6r If it's not there, then I'm just lost.
  3. Well, thank you. This program seems to work similary to tenoritool, but it also has the same "bug" when it comes to Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. While it normaly extracts res.dat and inner script_charactor.dat (which contains the base for characters images), the faces are stored inside script_charactor_face.dat. Both tenoritool and Gpda extract the latter as "no data". In tenoritool case, it contains the names and filesizes, but there is nothing inside (just zeros). In Gpda case, it contains only name. The file sizes are always 0 B. I have upload the file on a cloud, so you can download it here: https://dfiles.eu/files/cociazoa9 Just looking inside it with a hex editor, you can clearly tell that it does have the data there, both programs just fail to extract them. Do you have any idea why?
  4. OK, I'm gonna look at it. Can you send here another pack of the same game, that isn't that large?
  5. Hi, it's me again. This time I'm trying to unpack Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko visual novel (PSP, 2013), again looking for character images. I have found it for some reason in the INSDIR directory, inside the RES.DAT (it has 47 50 44 41 / GPDA signature). The only program able to extract it was the old good arc_conv-master, so here I've got the script_charactor.dat file, again with GPDA signature. But there goes the problem. If you open the script_charactor.dat file in a hex editor, you can see it contains the desired *.gim files, which can be opened with GimConv or Gim Viewer: But unpacking it again with arc_conv-master only creates a "damaged" files. It has no extension and if you open it with a hex editor, you can see it's got a GPDA signature again and the content is clearly messed up (a lot of zeros after every few lines). Isn't there a better way to extract those files? Anything I've found on the internet was about emulators... :/ EDIT: OK, I have found something called "tenoritool" (http://rsk.twilight.free.fr/ps2/home/tenoritool-1.0alpha.7z), which seems to go well with other PSP games, where you need to extract res.dat (like Oreimo or Toradora). However, when I've tried it for this game, it's showed some kind of error written in my native language (something about "spaces in the string"), so I guess it is more like cmd error than anything, but... What the heck? EDIT: OK, everything I said before was wrong. To use the tenoritool, you must be just very direct with the command, so this one actually worked: tenoritool.exe --list="" -v -x -d extract res.dat And with that, I was able to extract the script_charactor.dat file. And from there I've finally got the desired *.gim files. But those files wasn't the usual gims. It was just gzip files, that contained... Guess what? The dat file that I've got from the arc_conv-master at the beginning! But I know the solution now. Using tenoritool on it again creates 22 dat files. One of them has clearly the biggest size, so all you have to do is to change its extension to *.gim and you can open it/convert it to an image. Wow, this was harsh. Sorry for bothering you when I was able to solve it myself the same day I wrote it here, but maybe someone else will find these instructions helpful. Try GARbro. It isn't omnipotent, but it's the best user-friendly unpacker I know so far...
  6. Haha, I know what XML in general is. The problem is that there is no such file or information there. Maybe it is because I have the PS2 version. Did you encounter the same problem when using this tool? EDIT: Yeah, I get it now. The xml file is generated, not required. Now, I have to figure out what is it with the tm2 files and why have them all exactly same size... :/ EDIT: Yeah, I've got it complete. Thank you very much!!!
  7. OK, thank you. I have QuickBMS to extract the IMG files, so it's not a problem. But this tool seems to require some XML file to extract the arcs. I've look into all directories and even into AMAGAMI.IMG, but there is no XML here. How am I suppossed to use it?
  8. Hello, I'm trying to extract images from Amagami (PS2 version). It was said here before that there is not much chance for non-pc game like this, but I've happened find something that seem to be usable: https://github.com/SaracenOne/amg-codec-tool The thing is that this program has no actual release (I don't understand why some creators are just not making them) and I cannot compile my own release, because I have NEVER actually succeed in installing Microsoft Visual Studio. (I'm not kidding, I've tried it on about four different devices with Windows in the range of five years and the installation always failed and uninstall back again before completing). Is there anyone who can compile it for me here? Or is there any other program I can use? Thank you.
  9. There is a possibility that you just don't understand the point. Almost at the beginning of this project, I was trying to help doing the patch, too, but I was doing it in advance and on my own. The thing is that I was able to find the tools for extraction and editing the important files quite easily. But I was NEVER able to find or program the tool for doing the opposite – creating the patch. About Azengar, I really believe that he has some problems in real life, but if I had the tool, I would hand it over immediately when it became clear that I wouldn't make it in time. But Azengar maybe has the same problem as me. So I'll just say it myself, because it looks like no one other does: If there is a good programmer reading this post, try make the tool yourself and hand it over – I can be just too inexperienced. There are people prepare to do the rest. Edit: Sorry, my mistake. It looks like the tool is already created. I just overlook it, but does it really need the explanation? And where can we get that?
  10. I love you people! I have never seen a real fight between anecon and lolicon, but the Momoyo reaction was just the best. Howewer, you shouldn't talk about this stuff so openly, because it only shows your weaknesses. -_- One of you subconsciously thinks that he is underestimated by the society and is unable to distinguish himself, so he is looking for someone who is much weaker and needs him (imouto). Man, you are idealist. The second one hasn't enough self-confidence to be leader so he is looking for some strong woman, who can teach him and protect him (anego). Your subconscious knows that you are weak, so it gives you the easiest solution. You are realist. I hope that I didn't insult you two (it wasn't meaning to), but I couldn't stay quiet about that. By the way, I like imouto and pettanko more than anego and oppai, but I want people that I love to be independent of me because I can die in every moment.
  11. I was thinking about using Linux, but I still hope I don't have to. I do not really like it and to put so much effort to get one route... I would do it only if it was Miyako's route. Even you can create a torrent and send it to me. I will download it directly from you and then we both delete the torrent. It's much more easier and I don't have to use something so obsolete like CD. Otherwise, as I said, I am cool with off topic discussion – I am doing it right now. And that about fake translation was only harsh joke. I believe. I really, really do... 助けて神様!!
  12. If there was such company, I would take it as a honor to work for them. But I'm not sure, if I can become "bad badger" right after my first comment. ------------------------------------------------- By the way, is there anyone, who has working Majikoi A-1? I have old version of czech windows which is not compatible with WinRAR compressing process of Eastern countries. In other words, I can't extract or start the game, if I download it from Japanese torrent - there are some errors (I had the same problem with other Majikois). I would appreciate if you upload it somewhere.
  13. Hi, guys! I may be new member here, but I've watched this topic for several months. I am cool with off-topic discussion, but recently there is no world about the real topic: Miyako's route translation. Long time ago, I was working on some project in something completely differend, but there I experienced, that even though it was initially estimated as two months easy-going work, it gradually became two years of hard work. So I appreciate the translator's effort, but time to time I would like to know for how long does he see it right now. I was sure, that it can't be completed before February, but actually I've no idea where he is. In fact, this translation might be only a big bad joke. Edit: Late...
