Re-reading Gekkou at the moment, just because I love it so much. Probably going to read volume 4 of Hikaru ga Chikyuu tonight if I have the time. I'm also planning to start on Sayonara Piano Sonata, hopefully it's going to turn out to be a hidden gem, I'm having very high expectations. There're also plenty of others that I'm reading, but waiting for new volumes/translations to be released, with OreGairu, HakoMari and Seirei Tsukai being a few.

Today is the birthday of @HMN... but less importantly, it is also the birthday of Love Live's Nishikino Maki. It is thus with great pleasure I announce that we, Bueeh?! Translations, Though, have successfully completed a translation patch for Maki Fes!, where you can fuck her in at least 8 different ways! Maki is fully voiced; the unnamed male main character is not, so you can totally pretend he's Dovac if that's what you get off to (look, don't judge me). I believe like two of the scenes are animated too, but one is a blowjob scene and blowjobs are boring, so idk seems kinda pointless if you ask me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Jokes aside I spent surprising amounts of time translating 1/10 of this thing, and some other people spent even more doing, well, significantly more work. I don't understand, I just stand in awe at their dedication and prowess.
You can find the patch, as well as patching instructions (you have to scroll b/c asonn is a terrible web designer), at our website. We hope you enjoy your time with Maki...
    Credits:
Translators: Asonn, Arcadeotic, Hanako, HMN, Jptje, Nandemonai, TBAC & Zakamutt. TLC & whiplord: TBAC. Editor: Ryechu. QC & Beta testers: Forgetful Frank. Hacker: Porygon2. Image editor & GUI translator: kiririri. Doing absolutely nothing: @Kawasumi
PS: if you only read one scene, let me recommend choosing "I wanna fuck". It's my scene, and I made some interesting translation choices

What's even going on here? This girl has tan skin, pink hair, red eyes, and is underaged. There are multiple degrees of nonexistence with this combination. Do girls with pink hair even exist in the world? No. But that hasn't stopped us from reaching an unprecedented level of intersectionality that can appeal only to those who reside in a level of separation from reality that I had never thought possible. Is there such an overabundance of free time among certain people that we've now strived to achieve every permutation of unrealistic gimmicks?
Anyway, can I use your Japanese cell phone number to register my online mobile game account via an SMS code?

Okay, so I try to find this out on twitter and all I get are people saying because characters are gay, or its super edgy, or nonsense. I've played half of the first game, and I think its a god awful game with very few redeeming qualities. The characters are one dimensional and predictable, the investigations are bland and dry, the trials are an absolute mess with 30 different types of gameplay mashed together to create some ungodly mess of a classroom trial. The trials are just utter chaos. Poorly done music beat game, shooting random words down, shit all over the screen, its damn near impossible to play and know what the hell was going on. I found myself just mashing buttons until things worked half the time.

The fact that so many people like it shows that, clearly, I am the one in the wrong for thinking this is a terrible game/series, so I ask those who like it, sell me on this game. What exactly am I missing? I'm not looking for a response telling me that, "the game just isn't for you." I want to know why people who like it, like it. I've yet to actually see people explain why they like it, aside from the, "OMG THESE TWO ARE SO SHIPPABLE!" type stuff.

Posted in this board because I expect this thread to get as messy as the game is.

TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF THE GREATEST GODDAMN NATION EVER BIRTHED Y'ALL

For those of you unfamiliar with the country, let me give you a brief summary of the US of A.
    America is located here:

As America has the greatest GDP (both quantitatively and qualitatively) in the world, we trade a lot of things. Our largest export is freedom. In exchange for this 24-carat unadulterated gluten-free freedom, other countries shower us gratefully with oil.

Landmarks of America's culture include the apple pie, baseball, cheeseburgers, and Irish people. The official symbol of America is the bald eagle.

America was founded in 1776 when Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, in which we said "GO TO HELL" to George III of England, to which George replied "i don't have any power anymore you should talk to the prime minister also we're called great britain now because scotland lost all their money when they tried to colonize panama for some reason," to which we replied, "WE WON'T STAND FOR YOUR MONARCHIC TYRANNICALITY ENGLAND."

So we fought a bloody war and stripped ourselves of the colonial despotism of England, but then we were like "alright we still need to trade with you and stuff so we're cool now."
However, the only form of unity we had back then was the Articles of Federation which kind of sucked, so we wrote the Constitution and subsequently freedomed all over the place.

The first 10 amendments to the Constitution comprise the Bill of Rights. Many argue that the First Amendment is first because it makes us the most freedomy. I draw from this the corollary that the amendments are ranked in order of freedominess. For example, the Thirteenth Amendment, which bans slavery, comes after the Second Amendment, which guarantees us the guns that exemplify our liberty.

With that all established, we then kept moving to the West while sort of pushing away some guys who already lived there, but we let them have tax-free casinos now so it's all cool.

Oh, and when the founding fathers were countryfying the country, they were all like, "Should we ban slavery?" and someone else was like, "Ehhhhh, that'd cause a lot of problems. I'm sure they'll come up with a solution to that later on."
So then we had the Civil War and everything was solved!

All thanks to a guy named Abraham Lincoln, who proclamated the Emancipation Proclamation which banned the shizzle out of slavery. Well, sort of. That's a story for another day.

Then we had a big Industrial Revolution where we prospered but remained pretty isolationist. However, we still wanted our good friend Japan on the other side of the world to be less isolationist, so we sent Matthew Perry over to talk about opening up their borders, and also sent a giant indestructible navy with him because I guess he was a pretty self-conscious person.

Later on, a bunch of European guys were fighting over who's better at faking soccer injuries or whatever, so after they all beat themselves up we went in and finished it all.

And then President Woodrow Wilson was like, "Okay, you guys gotta stop this war shizzle," so he created super awesome peace-keeping international unity freedom organization The League of Nations and invited everybody.
And then we decided not to join it.

“I can predict with absolute certainty that within another generation there will be another world war if the nations of the world do not concert the method by which to prevent it.”
So after a while the Europeans had another world war over whose bicycle was the coolest or something, and this time we got pretty involved.
President Franklin D. socialist-lite Roosevelt brought us through the war against the freedom-hating Nazis and the Chinese-people-hating Japanese people. But he died before it ended so President Harry S my-middle-name-is-literally-"S" Truman saw it through to the end by dropping an atomic bomb on Japan and then told them to make us TVs and stuff.

And then we saw that our former friends Homie Joe Stalin and Mao Zedope weren't cool and they were all like, "Yeah, well you're not our comrade anymore," and we eventually got into a war in Korea and Vietnam and lots of other Ching Chong Chang lands, but then the USSR died of bad economy syndrome and China decided they could instead go to war with us by giving us lots of plastic products and stuff.

And that's a history of the United America of America.
There were also some other significant people and events in America's history that you'll need to talk to a history man about because I'm busy.

And with that, Happy America Day! Go spread the greatness of this nation to all your friends so that they will aspire to someday be America!
(I ACCIDENTALLY POSTED THIS 10 MINUTES TOO SOON I'M SORRY AMERICA)

Look under the "xp3tools Method" header. Seems to me that you're running the executable by double clicking on it. Again, it's a command line tool so you're going to have to run it via the command prompt.
xp3tools should also come with a Readme, or at least some form of documentation, which should be helpful.

1-10 scoring is a 7/10 system. It has great moments, yes, but overall it isn't all that impressive. IMHO it does not deserve very high a place in the hallmark of scoring systems.

I'd like to take my time to thank @Down for going out of his way to make this dream come true. Without him, this probably would still have happened.
But I'd also like to dedicate this thread to all the people who have supported me over the years on Fuwa. Without them, this great achievement wouldn't have been possible.
OriginalRun, who at the time of this thread is still dead after having fought in the Indonesian war in 1336 where he was decapitated by Somalian pirates. Your awful memes will never be forgotten. RIP in peace.  @Dergonu who likes so many of my shitposts I have lost count. You're the real MVP that helps propagate my spam agenda. @Kaguya who's one of the first people I interacted with on this forum and who I formed an alliance with many times to annoy everyone else. @solidbatman because he creates the salt with which we run Fuwa every day. @Fiddle, official provider of skeleton gifs and overly verbouse posts. @Tiagofvarela who has a nice accent so he gets mentioned as well. @Tay for creating this amazing platform we all complain about daily. @Kiriririri, the only person who understands VNs without moe are all worthless. @Ceris, who's still stuck in Love Live hell and who I hope will one day recover from the trauma. @Monmon, who helped me discover my addoration for traps and realize their superiority @Nayleen  @madvanced who still puts up with me in classes My mom and dad who are probably really disappointed in me. My cat and my 2 birds. Jun Maeda I would like to close off this entry in the Fuwa logs by officially declaring Fuwanovel as a Marxist state.
This is now, for all intents and purpoes, our official flag:

@TheDeadApostle You should take note of this part of the critique. You tell far too much in your text, and you don't write in a way which allows you to get away with it. Because of this your narration comes across as dull
Eh, I wasn't going to comment but you're in danger of dismissing some good advice so I'll expand on it a little. The biggest area you need to improve is building an atmosphere. You generally do this by showing (there are exceptions.) Allow me to demonstrate the extent of your use of 'tell' by pasting some paragraphs and underlining all the 'tell' within.
Yes, I underlined all of it ... except for the guy's name. I'll pull up a different paragraph:
Before you say anything, observe I didn't underline the word 'her'
So, substantial no? Because you heavily rely on the use of tell, and exposition (and a tense battle scene isn't really the time or place) you can’t build an atmosphere. You could show the reader her magic is unsuitable through dialogue or through some magical attempts of hers, you could show  the reader how his arm was injured, you could show the reader how the homunculi were combat oriented through details of their tactics and the ease with which they take control of situations, and you could show the reader the matchup was bad through description of the scenario. Showing the homunculi's sharp hearing by having them react to the light cough would have made things more real for the reader. There would have been an image in the reader's mind to match the conclusion you draw, and this would make the scene more vivid, more real. Without this piece of imagery, you’re just throwing conclusions out to the reader, which is what telling is. Showing is building a scene and allowing the reader to draw their own conclusions through the experience you’re giving them.
No, you don't have to explain everything in the first setting, some mystery is good. In fact, there's too much exposition going on. Show is interesting, tell is boring. But the way you categorise people and things without showing them, and this is a problem of yours which extends to some pretty funky adverb and adjective abuse, kinda half-explains things to the audience and half doesn't. I just wouldn't go there at all until you can devote some proper time to it, and like I said the middle of a battle scene is not the time or place. Stuff like 'conventional female sorcerer' which then leads into a small piece of exposition into what she can and can't do just isn't cool. Instead 'show' a little of what she can and can't do in the opening scene, and expand on it later on, in a different one, when you can do it justice. Also 'ruthless' combat homunculi? Ruthlessness can be shown by what they've done, so drop that also. You don't even need to tell people it's 'Grand Capitol' library, a description of the library probably would have sufficed and introducing it as Grand Capitol in the next scene could have been better.
Velociraptor's point about dumping 6 different terms in the one paragraph can be eliminated through more use of show, and less use of tell and exposition.
So, yeah, 'telling' is what you first need to work on. As in it should be reduced. Probably substantially. Good luck
