Wait. ARE YOU SERIOUS

Damn, I need my Mecab for this.

Amen to that.

Depends. If the routes is consistent with other routes, like when you make a choice in Route A there's an obvious change in that route compared to others, then yes, I like it. One of an example for this kind of choice making is Clannad. I dont like/indifferent to routes when all they do is differing the heroine. I also like it when a true route is an amalgamation of all the previous route. In short, I like it when all aspects of a route/routes is used in the story.

Maybe you could check this: http://vndb.org/g253?fil=lang-en or http://vndb.org/g500?fil=lang-en filtered to english language. I love vndb tag system.

Thx for the list.

Tsukihime is less action and more mystery for me, per se. Especially for the Far Side of the Moon routes. The story went psychotic and I love it.

So after a horrifying experience reading VNs with ATLAS terrifying translation, I found that it's actually easier using Mecab/Jparser to translate word by word and put it in my head. So, I finally started the Heisig and Anki method of memorizing kanjis, and now I want to try to play an untranslated VN with only mecab and Jparser. Can anyone recommend stuffs with a still heavy/interesting/funny story (for a better picture, something that's more than D.C. or Shuffle stuffs) but still has kanji level acceptable for beginner like me? So far I only found http://vndb.org/v13651 and even then I still dont know how hard the kanji would be.

"87% young people have back pain. The other 13% have no computer. " "Money does not bring happiness. But it pays my internet, which is the same thing." "Most kids these days want drugs, others want guns. Honestly, what I want is just a good and stable internet connection." "Most people can't sleep because of insomnia. I can't sleep because I have internet connection."

I wouldnt exactly said this about Totono, lol

The most awesome way you could explain VNs?

A story that shows human complete negative side and breaks the mind completely, with actual meaning, not mindless sex. Viva UroGen and Nitro+. But in general, it's "Playing while Reading." -
^This. Please dont. A H-ish (and it would be H-ish), half-hearted, shitty money milking adaptation is going to stain this masterpiece.

A sweet love story. I shit you not.
-
Just a clarificatio, Saya no Uta isnt about disgusting gore massacre sex. It's a love story.
-
No one gonna recommend Saya no Uta? Well, I'll do it.

it's amazing how it could felt boring and hilarious at the same time.

Dem jargons are super hard, especially at E route.
-
Of course R;N a total failure, I couldnt even count the things they didnt animate and things they fail to animate. Not to mention they made it to Frau route first but suddernly hit the steer to the childhood friend. Talk about indecisive. As for Nitro+ itself, I like nearly all of em. Their VNs is what motivated me to start learning moonrunes (aka kanjis) seriously.

I/O's technical jargon is seriously making it a heavy VN in tech terms.
