Problem is the fewer translators working on a VN, the more consistent the end result.

I like an update every two months, at least. Even if no progress, a "we're not dead" is always nice.

Hey, given how long they go without updates and then randomly post to say "no update", that probably is as close as it gets.

Wairu are slow in the extreme, and don't seem inclined to provide any sort of regular update. But at least they're translating it. Probably.

And I think a full patch would be better than a partial patch, even if it means no release this month. Cliff hangers suck. Massively.

Browsing the thread some people were looking to help out. Did anyone have any luck reaching out?
Takajun has vanished from the face of the earth. But a TL from here is working on completing Miyako. It's just unclear if he'll do the rest of the game as well. Would be nice if someone who actually knows him could ask.

Wairu are slow, and the quality of the Sayaka patch was really lacking. That said, at least they're making progress. Maybe.
2015 would be my earliest estimate for any completion of any of the games. I also don't know if the TL here is planning to do the entire game(what takajun didn't do), or just Miyako.

They're still working on it,probably. They only update once every few months though, and they don't make any stellar progress.

Glad to hear the TL is back! However, and I'd like to think the rest of the fans here agree, but he should certainly prioritize getting well over TLing a game.

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say it has something to do with 'not being worth the developers time to spend manpower helping with a localisation when it sells 500 copies as 30 bucks a pop, when they can spend their time working on their next game which will sell 20-30k at 100 bucks a pop in the local market.' Thus the expensive localisation fees.
That doesn't really seem like a good reason, since most/all of the work falls to the company that licensed it, not the original producer/developer. And for a lot of VNs, you can take the (partial) fan TLs, quickly QC the finished ones and/or finish the partials and throw them on the market for digital sales. Quick, cheap, and almost guaranteed to turn a profit, even if it isn't a huge one.

We must have faith! Keep the faith and our hopes and dreams shall one day be answered with a completed Miyako patch. And maybe, if we have enough faith, a complete patch for the whole game!

well as far as i can tell huge VN like Majikoi (over 40 hours of gameplay) are alwasys translated very slowly. some are translated for 10 years.
progres on Majikoi was actualy very fast untill ofc it was dropped.
I'd rather not wait 10 years to read miyako. D: Not to mention there are still two more A-x games to come out that will need TLing.

I swear, this entire series seems cursed. All three games started, a whole zero finished.

A quick update for you guys.
The translator has gone missing, indeed we haven't heard anything about him since more than two weeks.
Maybe something happened something to him IRL or maybe he caught a flu or something but he completely disappeared.^^
But don't worry, he'll probably be back soon and if he's not, I had discussed with other translators in the past and we'll find a way.
For now let's wait, maybe he'll come back, I'm just telling that there's no progress at the moment.
