After a rather interesting discussion with Aaeru, Ive come to the conclusion that the pros outweigh the cons. This is something that will make Fuwanovel grow into a even better home for Visual Novels. With people writing reviews, they can voice their opinions which will help people decide what VN's to try. This is win/win. A little bit of spam is worth it. As you said Harry: The spam will always happen. But the positives that will come from this will be amazing. I say lets do it. Lets give the fans a way to voice their opinions!!

I love Japan. Alot. But man i just dont get how teachers, TEACHERS of all people, can do that shit at all.

Spam is an issue but i dont think making ranks, especially is necessary. That will turn new members off. Spam in the forums is handled fast. Spam on the actually Visual Novel Pages would be much harder to moderate and control. Not to mention, on the main site, they wont need to "sign up" to post. Therefore anyone could post whatever they want.

Man i cant help but think that its a bad idea to have anyone able to write on the direct VN pages. Anyone can write anything they want at anytime?? to me that says bad idea written all over it. As i said, this is just my opinion, but man, spam is going to be an issue. If its used for reviews, i guess that would be ok if thats all its used for but I cant see just reviews being posted. Ive been a proponet of making a review section in the Forums. I dont like the idea of anyone being able to write on the VN pages directly. Its asking for problems. Whereas if we have a review section in the forums, it can be moderated and implemented with the things Harry mentioned.... This is a great idea, but in the forums it can be easily implemented. Forgive me for being paranoid, I know that you wanna make the site the best ever, but making it so anyone can make changes to said pages, just seems like your inviting problems. I hope you understand I just want to help. Its your decision in whatever course you decide to take. Ill help no matter what.

I guess youve already implemented a way to post thoughts on each VN?? If you look at the Little Busters Page, you can see someone already posted something. Now not to knock that person, but it makes the page look... lets just say its not clean looking and it will turn some people off. I know your trying to make improvments, but i think this is going to be an issue if anyone can post stuff on the pages. I want this site to succeed, and adding improvements is great, but this has me worried. Edit: I changed what was written on the page in question. It just bothered me too much.

This is a good idea, but maybe people posting in the forum dont want their posts to be on the main page? I know a lot of people post in the forums, because well its a limited place where people can see what they are saying. If we implement this it might make the more shy members stop posting in the forums, which is something i dont want. Everyone should feel comfortable to post what they want comfortably. Just my thoughts.

Its amazing. I was a US Marine for over 20 years. Ive been to war. Been shot, blown up. Youd think I was tough as nails right? Well I am, but let me tell you. Clannad and Kanon Visual Novels had me tearing up. Especially Clannad. A mixture of great music and AWESOME characters, I was no match for that. I wont post spoilers here, but there were times in both VN's that i was pretty wrecked. Music for me plays a HUGE part in the enjoyment of a VN and Key is the best in that regard. That mixed with amazing character development is a 1+2 knockout punch. Ive been hooked ever since.

I will moderate this Aaeru once we get it going. I think having a thread in the forums would be good as well. Be able to link between the main page and the forums would be a great tool. The reason i think also having a forum thread for reviews is that someone can read all the reviews in one place. Rather then go between each VN page to find them. I think having both would be great. Ya know?
