  1. ill just drop this here :)

no longer we have to rely on staircase (who are probably dead by now) to do the hacking for us

one thing is that this method will not be using a custom EN exe file so in order to play this you will ahve to set FORMAT (not only locale) to japanee, since that's what all favorite games require if you play them in the original. (otherwise they crash)

How do I set FORMAT to japanese?

Oh and how is the Yume tranlation?

  2. Alright guys, we're going to start updating the first post with our progress and whatnot, so check it out whenever you need to know our current progress and open positions.

If you guys finish the translation before mangagamer agrees to bring it out, will you guys then bring it out as a fantranslation?

    BTW: Happy New Year!

  3. As Vorthod said, Moeshouden is next on our list. We also wish to do the third game, Eiyuutan, but that doesn't even have a release date in Japan yet. Needless to say, we won't worry about that until we finished SKM and Moeshouden.

And as I mentioned on the Facebook page, we have finished the Go route. That means the only main route left is the bonus route, Kan. There's still character events, H-scenes, and TL Checking though, so it's not like if you don't join as a translator now, you miss your chance to come aboard. We're always looking for me people. But for the fans, yes, we are getting closer to that incredible 100% translated status. Slowly, but we are.

will it be released through mangagamer or as a fantranslation?

  4. Eloquently stated.  This thread is for talking about the translation of the original Majikoi, and the original Majikoi alone.  If you wish to discuss the (possible) translation of another Majikoi VN, feel free to make another thread in the appropriate section.  Remember, praise, thanks, and cheering on the TLers is okay, but off-topic posts, even if they are slightly related to Majikoi, are not.  If you want to talk about Majikoi in general, go to Unlimited Chat Works and post off-topic stuff to your heart's content.

I know Fuwa is infamous for having threads go off-topic, and I have been guilty of off-topic posts myself, but it's all the more important for threads in the Development Boards to stay on-topic, as they exist to provide information and updates.  Please respect the rules and post posts where they belong.  It helps everyone involved when people follow the rules  :3

    yes sir yes, i'll remember

  5. Actually, GentleBlade started translating Koyuki some time ago. I did a little bit of QC for him, but ended up stopping because I figured I could just do it when he finished. Don't know what happened to his translation, but you could always ask him.

it's been 2 weeks since he has been on the forums, do you think he will consider working on it again? (or maybe he is secretly working on it)

will majikoi a-2 get translated after majikio (and maybe S) have been finished?

  6. Pretty sure that was Toonami.  Ah, the good old days.

Ditto, or Pokemon, I can't remember which I watched first.  Haven't seen it in ages though.

No, it was a anime about a man with a yellow afro, sunglasses and he had magic nosehair and fight the evil bald people empire.

  7. I kinda get what Rooke is saying, and it's definitely not for everyone. I personally loved the playfulness of the atmosphere of Rewrite, and the tinges of mystery laced upon the game as you progress through it, but there is certainly alot of it. And if you don't like the humor and just want to see more of the story I can see it wearing pretty thin.

As far as Little Busters go, it's a bit of a different story. Little Buster's story in the end is a story of friendship, and I think you need more than just constant conflict and sadness to see what that message is about. You see alot of off-camera relations being made between the friends if you look close enough, and alot of the game's slice of life scene's are really just a bunch of goofiness between the cast. I don't think this itself is wrong, but again, I can see the mini-game and whatnot if you choose not to skip it getting old, and the common route :is: really long. I would argue that it does :not: interfere with the goal of Little Busters, though, which is it's overall theme of friendship.

If we are talking about what does interfere with Little Busters, I'd say... well, basically every side route. The core of the story and Refrain itself shows that the game is about friendship, and the boys+rin especially. The common route does this, but the side routes have basically most of the other characters completely disappearing, especially Refrain which only talks about them at the VERY end, which is.. a bit silly, I think. And the sideroutes being romance centered is really silly. I know it's a visual novel/eroge whatever and all, but it's completely off-center the games main theme of friendship and kills the sense of 'togetherness' the common route has. It's something I have a huge problem with, it really makes the message of the game pointless up until Refrain, which basically tosses the other side-route characters to the wind. I guess Komari is a bit of an exception, though.

Not to anyone in particular here, but you really shouldn't get so personally offended if someone doesn't like what you like. That's the joy of being people. Difference.

I think i get what you're saying about the side-routes thing.

To be honest i don't dislike the romance in the route or anything but i do hate the fact that when you're playing a side route, almost every character disapears.

But the anime changed that and the little buster members are more involved in the arc.
