    the game itself should be around 6-7gb, we're lookin' at the main patch to be up to 50 - 55mb, videos will be around 200mb, not entirely certain how big the decensor will be.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:   To install: Run the installer and navigate to your Maji Koi S folder. If you've used our patch for the first game, you should already know how to do this. Otherwise, follow these steps:   1) Run the installer, probably as administrator   2) If the directory is correct, simply hit next. If it is not, navigate to your Maji Koi S folder, which should contain まじこいS.exe   3) Once the directory is correct, clink install.   4) When it is done, press finish, and you should be ready to play the fully translated game!   To Uninstall:   1) Run the uninstaller (delete Update4 and 5 if you have them, though they are not part of the installer and will be uploaded separately).   If you had the wairu patch, you'll need to reinstall it if you want to keep it(or just keep update2.pac, as that is the UI), or the game's UI will revert to being untranslated.*   *May not apply to everyone -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    On mobile so please forgive my brevity.

    Krill has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. It sounds like he's okay but he will need significant therapy. His wife is willing to pass along messages to him, so please post and let him know you're thinking of him and sending best wishes, and I'll make sure she gets them.

    I don't know why people bash on the anime so much. I mean if you haven't read the VN, sure, you probably wont like it, half the stuff won't make sense and it'll just look like a simple harem comedy with a little action. However, having read the VN I found it to be pretty funny, and it was pretty nice seeing some of the VN animated, plus a little more that wasn't in the original game. The whole harem thing wasn't a big deal to me, and I love that 

    . It was also a pleasant surprise to have the original VA's come back for it. Plus we get to see a naked Takae cuddle a naked Saki

    Good news everyone~
    Maji Translations has been consolidated to Skyspear (Cry, I'm looking at you) 
     
    Neither team will have any of it's members or work flows changed, but the credit on VNDB and the header on the website that I'm having built for Majikoi S will both have the Skyspear Translations name.

    I would like to thank the entire community for all the continuing support for both projects. We hope to continue to bring you quality fan translations for a long time to come

    Just to be clear, the teams will remain completely dedicated to their respective projects. This merger was done to consolidate the series into one overall group, and various other reasons(crying and dowolf were already part of both teams, for example). I will continue to post updates as we have them for S, as I'm sure Heizei will do for A-1.
     
    On that note, proper editing of Momoyo has begun. Fixes to wairu's TL were lost amid a mental breakdown, so will have to redo those. Wanko's editing was delayed due to complications, and will resume after Momoyo.
     
    And finally, anyone interested in being a QC, please contact me. Write 2-3 paragraphs in as flawless of English as you can explaining what makes a good QC and why it isn't "early access" as so many think. Anyone who sends "i can qc" or something similar will be ridiculed. Include the word "zippy" in there somewhere, so I know you actually read this post.

    There's a really interesting balance there. This game is chock-full of puns and references that, if translated literally, basically demand fluency in Japanese to understand: "Wanko" being an punny reading of 一子 (Kazuko), where "wan" also means "woof"; puns based on Momo meaning "peach" (ももよもももももものうち, "momoyo mo momo mo momo no uchi" is a fun line that just sort of keels over and dies if I translate it literally as "Momoyo and peaches are both members of the peach family"); Takuya becomes Takuyo when he's crossdressing because "ya" is a masculine name-ending while "yo" is a feminine one, which is especially confusing to Western ears because we're used to hearing -a endings as feminine; "Until you cry I wait / Oh cuckoo" in English sounds more like the words of a crazy person than the literary allusion it is; the phrase "a punch with the intensity of a rising dragon" is going to lack a certain oomph if you don't know that's the literal translation of "shouryuuken." Determining which ones to change and which ones you're stuck with is... fun.
     
     
    I generally side with changing more things because I feel that makes the final project more enjoyable. But I digress.

    As dowolf said, much of the route was done before we started, though I'm not sure as to an exact percentage. We only QC'd and edited the unfinished portions, and touched nothing else. If it occurred before the beach scene, it wasn't us.
     
    As for the errors that slipped through after, yes, there are many. Most do not take away from the readability, and many have been fixed post-release as people have reported them. If you have specific examples, mail them to Ouraibaa, and he will pass them on to the rest of us to fix should they need fixing. Screenshots/full text of the lines is preferable, since it makes them easier to search.
     
    As for the process itself, there is the TL(dowolf), the QC(ouraibaa), the tester(a secret), and me, who fixes misc problems the tester finds, as well as the spot fixes for the errors such as you mentioned. NhK and Crying also review the script. However, even with six people reading it, things are going to slip through, especially when you remember that several of us have read the whole route 4-5 times in the process of testing, so our minds begin to autocorrect things(there is a term for this, but hell if I can remember it). Kazama(the first route we edited) was read once by dowolf and ouraibaa, 5-6 times by the tester, twice by me, and then once each nhk, crying(I think?) and ouraibaa again. And still a few errors slipped through. Such is the nature of fan TLs.
     
    Eventually, you just have to release it with the knowledge some things aren't 100% fixed, because nothing short of fresh eyes will spot them. This can be seen as either a failing or a blessing of fan TLs. A failing, since an imperfect product is released, but a blessing, since 1) it's free and 2) crowd-sourced error-spotting will spot more than a professional team, let alone a team collected from a fan-forum, could ever hope to pre-release.

    They said on the last translation that there would only be A final patch, no partial. 
     
    Also a note for the TL team,  In Future with Kazuko route there seems to be a problem with the original wairu patch, when you get to a certain line in her route the game crashes, I've tried on three different computers so I don't think its on my end.... but if you could check that just to make sure I would appreciate it..

    Huge update!
     
    Miyako QC is at 100%!

     
    All the routes and side routes have now been translated and QC'd. All that is left is to put them in a patch, and that shouldn't take long at all.

    The reasoning behind this comes from the huge amount of repeat questions, a direct consequence of the huge amount of pages, which keeps getting bigger with every new comment and question.
    In order to stop this vicious cycle, the thread will be closed and all the comments/questions will be moved to a new thread or archived*, depending on where they fit best.
    Feel free to contact me or another mod via PM if you want to know more about why this was done.
     
    And, for the record, there was an unanimous vote by the entire Devboard team and the Majikoi team leader for this thread to be closed.
    No need to worry about injustice and oppression.  
     
    *This may take a while. 37 pages is no easy business. Please bear with us while we send all your beloved posts to the chopping block.
