  1. Sorry to necro the thread, but for anyone who's facing this problem, I solved it by changing my system locale to jp or running ITHVNR in locale emulator.
  2. Hmm, my kirikiri scripts were not encrypted so I don't know if that's the reason for difference, but I just did a test run with GARBro and works for my game. Here's a mini video showing the steps I followed, are you doing the same things?
  3. Back when I used to translate kirikiri engine games ages ago, we used the kiririki tool to do both unpacking and repacking. Is everyone using Krkrextract these days? It seems pretty neat but every time I tried to repack anything with it the game flipped a table and refused to start, so I'm also curious about how exactly people do it. The instructions on the website were not really clear. You can also use GARbro, it's very intuitive and works for me often.
  4. Thanks for mentioning HookAnyText plugin! Many years ago (around 2013-2014 I think) I used to use CheatEngine to play some PSP games, but HookAnyText plugin didn't exist back then so things were harder. Glad to know that it's easier now!
  5. While I'm sure this isn't anything new to people who have already been doing this, I wrote a tutorial (with videos) on how to extract text from untranslated JP PSP games using 1) PPSSPP and 2) either ITHVNR or Textractor. https://aurora6290.wordpress.com/2020/08/28/tutorial-on-extracting-text-from-psp-games/ I hope this will be useful to someone
  6. I don't know about the other games, but I could extract the xp3 files in Sanzen Sekai Yuugi ~MultiUniverse Myself~ by using the XP3Viewer here. All I needed to do was drag the game's main executable, 参千世界遊戯.exe onto XP3Viewer.exe, then drag the .xp3 file I wanted to extract in the new menu that popped up. I love this game, so I'm really happy to hear that OGE is considering this project! (I'd offer my help in translation, but pretty busy with scanalation stuff and the half-dead Anniversary no Kuni no Alice project orz) ....Aaaand just noticed that this is a months old thread. You probably
  7. Oh! Jichi-sama! So good to see you here too! @roninmedia: I don't have Norn9 iso right now, but Shinsouban Alice works fine. I did have it act a little rebellious once. It didn't hook when I started the game the first time, but once I saved the game and reloaded from the same slot, the text showed up. The same problem occured another time, and this time the text grabbing started when I clicked preferences. I guess with some games text hooking needs some kind of catalyst before it starts? :/
  8. I'm assuming you're familiar with how VNR works for normal PC games? Sakimichi wrote a basic guideline on how to make VNR work with PPSSPP on her blog, she also has other tutorials detailing basic usage of VNR. I'd suggest sticking to one game every time you start a PC session, and go to the text settings first to see if VNR is hooking any text. Keep the text settings tab open and check if multiple threads are showing up when you advance in the game. If it doesn't go to the spring board and click everything you can. i say that because a couple of times VNR refused to work for no reason wh
  9. DAMN, I didn't need to make this thread XDDD The talented Jiichi, the one behind the cool program Visual Novel Reader, has updated VNR to support PSP games runing on PPSSPP!!! Sakimichi made a post on it which I suppose she'll also post on fuwanovel soon. I also tried to make it work and succeeded~
  10. This game, Heart no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Twin World~, is one of many in the Alice series games. The one you are thinking of is its prequel, Heart no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~. I'm actually a part of the translation project of the first PC remake of that game, Anniversary no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~, and I was trying to make sure we can follow up with the sequels. This game, Heart no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Twin World~, is one of many in the Alice series games. The one you are thinking of is its prequel, Heart no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder Worl
  11. Yeah putting the text back inside might not be possible for the visual novels whose archives cannot be extracted. But at least then I can upload the translations on my blog or try to work something out with VN reader. (Actually I have been attempting to extract the scripts of Heart no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Twin World~ by Quinrose for translation purposes, but the file format .QPK was something I haven't seen anywhere so I haven't been able to. My kanji skills aren't so good that I'd understand every line so I had to take many breaks during the game to look stuff up, a PSP game hooker w
  12. EDIT : Ahaha, I didn't need to make this thread XDDD The talented Jiichi, the one behind the cool program Visual Novel Reader, has updated VNR to support PSP games runing on PPSSPP, and Sakimichi made a post on it as well as other tutorials on how to get the text hooker set up. I also managed to make everything work, croll down and you'll see screenshots of my findings. A couple days ago I discovered this program a user on LJ made that works as a text hooker for Daiya no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~ PSP game emulated on JPCSP. They wrote their own text hook using cheat engi
  13. So the wof problems are solved now? Great! @Atikal: I managed to open Norn9,gekka,Dialovers (both haunted dark bridal and more blood), Toki no Kizuna,Hakuouki Zuisoroku (duh),Are you Alice?,Clock Zero,Princess Arthur,Brothers Conflict:Brilliant Blue and Jewelic Nightmare sofar. ;D
  14. Omg you're a lifesaver! I had a big number of scripts lying around which weren't compatible before and they all work now! I downloaded MinGW and have been trying to compile the stuff all evening, but the executable was giving me an error ;A; Shows some things are best left in the hands of people who know what they're doing XD Just to be sure, there is no way to batch extract text as of now, right? I'm planning to extract the text of around a hundred files for a game and I'd feel silly if there were any way to do it in one go but I didn't know about it.
  15. Thanks xyz! Now if I could only figure out how to set things up so I can recompile the program... *is a noob*
