  1. Welcome to the forums, dude. Take any rug in the house.
  2. He's certainly an interesting character, but I never really felt any connections with him... Though I was a hikikomori myself, but only for a year.
  3. Nichijou is fucking brilliant. One of the best comedies I've watched. Now I'm currently rewatching some Yuru Yuri. Probably one of my favorite SoLs of the past few years. It's so adorable, and its witty sense of humor always makes me giggle like a little girl. And of course, my favorite characters From gorakubu: And from seitokai:
  4. The 2 or 3 episodes before the last one gave me a huge amount of feels. You just don't put someone down like that, man. Touka was bitch all along, but then she crossed the line in the sand. Undude, man. Very undude. But the most depressing show I've ever seen was Elfen Lied. It's one of my all-time favorites, but goddammit, I challenge anyone to watch it and not have their view of the world drastically changed. Evangelion was also depressing as hell. But then again, Anno Hideaki is chronically depressed. I heard he was even hospitalized multiple times because of it.
  5. Hey there, dude! Welcome to this here forum. It's a great place for takin' it easy, and I'm sure you'll like it here. So go ahead, take any rug in the house! I love Angel Beats, too, and I'm hoping the VN will help Maeda Jun write the story the way he originally intended it to be. My favorite character's Iwasawa~
  6. Welcome! Take any rug in the house, dude. This here's a wonderful place for takin' 'er easy with fellow VN readers. I'm sure you'll like it here!
  7. Hey there! Nice to see someone else who's played Snatcher, though I personally don't consider it a VN. Still a great game, though! I wish Kojima would try to work on another series apart from Metal Gear. >___> But yeah, go ahead dude: take any rug in the house and pick a line. We got White Russians and Sasaparillas, too.
  8. Hey dude, welcome to the forums! Go ahead, take any rug in the house and pick a lane.
  9. You seem like a high caliber member... ...Sorry. Welcome to fuwa!
  10. I'm not surprised about the outcome. He contacted the developers AND was asking for money for the translation. From a capitalist standpoint, the result was very much expected. However, I wonder when VN developers will drop their paranoia towards the other side of the globe. They're like a parody of the modern individual: always living like there's some absolute evil lurking in the shadows, ready to eat you alive should you let your guard down for a single moment.
  11. I've never noticed any differences, really. It seems that the choice of words depends entirely on the writer, though a lot of nukige end up being more verbally vulgar in order to build up a "naughty" atmosphere. Then again, lots of non-nukige do that, like Yuzu-soft games. The Sonohana games can also use some pretty explicit language despite the pure and innocent idea behind it.
  12. I don't really care much for graphics, but good art style and direction can definetely pull me in. Though if I had to pick one of the most visually stunning VNs I've played, it'd have to be either Rewrite or Bishoujo Mangekyou. The latter has some of the most stunning backgrounds I have ever seen. I swear I want to print some of them out and put them on my wall. They'd make great Progrock album covers too. I love the style in Cross Channel, too. The choice of colors is especially efficient in providing a hollow sensation to the world and the story, like there is something missing, yet you can't quite put your finger on what it is. I imagine that this is due to the efficient use of white, which can pretty much blend in with any color. Finally, while I'm not a big fan of the character designs in Steins;Gate, the style somehow fits perfectly well with the urban environment of Akihabara, the town of electronics. The colors, once again, play a huge role in giving a contemporary yet "dirty" feel, like watching a garage band perform: it's bad, but it fits very well with the idea behind the Lab, which is, well, like a garage band except for science.
  13. This man. Holy shit, this man. He's fucking brilliant.
  14. Currently doing the other couples' routes in Michael no Otometachi. Probably will start with Good ol' Nanami x Yuuna. By the way, Nanami's new voice actress is squeaky as hell. It's I'm listening to Chip and Dale.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuCUbOuYQxs Best song from the game.
  16. I've been told many times that music isn't the best way to learn, but it doesn't hurt to try. When I was teaching English, I would sometimes use songs with my students, and it worked really well in developing their comprehension and listening.
  17. It's not bad, but it's easy to notice that he planned a looot more for it.
  18. Dude, Danganronpa translation is at 99%.... orz
  19. Started Zettai Oppai Sensou... Only because of the Red-haired girl, though. I'm such an M.
  20. Go ahead, dude. Take any rug in the house.
