Ren'Xel Plus Ren'Xel Plus allows you to translate and generate the .rpy from your .tab file, unlike the classic version this Ren'Xel does not transform the files to excel, but using CSV lecutra converts the .tab to JSON and allows you to translate from within the app. This app has the following: Create and Load workspaces (to have a workspace for each game) Translate from within the app Create Notes Export to RPY Notes to keep in mind: This version is built with electron.js and uses RyunixJS framework which is based on ReactJS and PreactJS created by UnSetSoft (parent brand of KagariSoft) and may have some bugs. The common.rpy files are loaded internally in the app, and cannot be modified or edited until you export the project to the renpy format. This app is intended for Translators who work for studios or have dialogues with developers. However, it can be easily used by independent translators to create a translation (However, you must ask the game creator for permission and request a .tab). It is recommended to use this app only with finished projects, the app will not update the Ren'Py native dialogue ID, but you can update the translations. Ren'Py moves the "voice" tags to the translation files, Ren'Xel cannot move them. You have two options to solve this: Move them manually or use "Automatic Voice" (this second option is better than using the voice tag). If you did not create a translation, but you downloaded the project in .rpy format the main file will be empty. Since the app only stores the strings you translated, this is good for translations that are too long and you want to get an early version of the translation without having to export all the empty lines.   6. The truth is that visual novels in Spanish are very limited (I mean official translations). In Latin America we don't usually use English, in fact.... Many do not know how to speak English or have very basic knowledge either because learning is very expensive or we simply do not like to learn the language. I feel that publishers should at least apply a neutral Spanish translation when localizing a Japanese or independent vn. If we look at the data, Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, of course to bring a game to all the languages of the world is crazy. But at least applying support for the main languages would not be bad. Nowadays, the English community (and here is where anyone who makes a visual novel in English comes in) is bigger than the Latin American community, in Latin America the explosion of visual novels has only started a few years ago. The Spanish speaking community is still very small and it will take some time until it reaches the level of the English community, most of the Latin or Spanish consumers join the English community because they can't consume something in their language. This is where the Latin visual novel developers are born, with less resources from the larger visual novel community to try to solve this problem. Of course, you can't compare a work made in Latin America with one from North America or Japan, since the resources we have here are limited and the community is very small.   8. A few hours ago, a small preview of the first minutes of the game Roses Of Love Star Princess in Spanish was published. (The game is made natively in Spanish.) Having released this teaser I would like to comment a few things regarding the game, the early access version may have changes in the final version, this includes extended scenes and dialogues (but no new characters will appear). The "Star Princess" route is short, this is due to the removal of the other two romantic interests that will be added in a future DLC. Even so, I'm thinking of publishing a small web novel (I say web novel, but it's the dialogues of the SP route in a more complete way, it has 7 thousand words. While the VN only 3 thousand) Another reason for cutting scenes is the lack of resources, as many know ROL is a low budget project and uses assets (CC) which is not ideal and forces me to limit myself only to the assets I have, that's why the SP route is shorter compared to what was already written in the route "Twin Roses" and in the text document I have of SP that has 7 thousand words. The development of a game never goes as planned, but for me this is learning. I learned a lot how to develop a vn and plan dialogues (even if I wrote the same story from beginning to end and then erased everything to start again). My biggest problem in creating ROL was that I had no idea where to direct the game, this from having cancelled a game just before starting ROL development in 2019. It wasn't until 2021 - 2022 that after deleting the dialogues so many times that I thought about how to get the project on track. I made the idea as simple as I could, as well as the dialogues. But that led me to cut scenes, change many things in the game and even change how the game should be developed. For example, before the game would come out with 7 endings and other 7 extras, which led me to despair when I saw that I could not fulfill this. Or a messaging system, a functional cell phone system, a mini-game in the cafeteria. There were many ideas, which caused many delays and inconsistencies in the story. Finally, I made the decision to release the game in stages. The first stage was with the "Twin Roses" route, this way the players would at least have something to play, but I was missing the main route. Which led me to delay the game more, finally I was able to finish the first "Stable" draft of the story. Which is the one that will be released sometime this year on itch and steam next year. This way, I plan to fix the dialogues and improve the story little by little and now focus on the main path, also i hope that the game will be more longer. The assets will also be measured (that includes any promotional images of the project) and will be changed little by little. however, in order to change the assets I need to sell the product, the version that will be published (besides being an almost final draft of the project) will help me to get the necessary funds to give a more original design to the game. - Original Sprite - Original music - Original BG - Original CG - VA (this is just an idea for the moment) Currently due to limitations in my country I can't use my currency to pay for any of the above, so I can only keep my projects to sales. Even so, thanks to the support I received during the development and some sales, I was able to get assets (basic ones that I will change) to have at least something playable.   10. Roses Of Love - Update info The 0.1.8 version that is currently available on itch and the demo that is available both on steam and itch, will be removed. Thus the support for these versions will end on November 14, 2023 between 17 and 22 hs local Argentina (UTC -3), this change is intended to end the current version and prepare the stores to receive the early access update 1.0.0. It completely changes the structure of the game, as well as everything related to the dialogs and its development. It is expected that the new update will allow and facilitate the development of the final version of the game for 2024, during this course the game will only receive updates related to bugs until it manages to overcome a goal of income in both steam and itch. Finally, the game will receive the final update that will feature DLC support, original designs of the main characters, original music, original scenes (BG) and special backgrounds (CG). In addition, it is expected that with these new changes it will be possible to expand the dialogues and scenes that were not expanded during the early access version due to lack of resources. Roses Of Love is a visual novel designed with limited resources, however, it is expected that over time the product will improve little by little. The future of KagariSoft The future is uncertain, but what can be confirmed is that new projects will be worked on during 2024, which should be announced in that year. As for the development of visual novels, this will be paused, as the stories will be written in web novel format and then taken to visual novel. The story with the highest score from the public will be taken to a visual novel, several works will be written and among them only one will be published in visual novel format (the rest will wait to have higher scores and will be released as visual novels when they reach the goal).   11. Finally Roses Of Love: Star Princess is finished, chapter 1 has a total (approximately) of 8 thousand words. The development of the story was getting complicated so I thought about concluding the story in act 3, I'm sorry if the ending doesn't meet your expectations. But I did my best to make chapter 1 end smoothly. You will probably notice time jumps, some inchoerences or that the story advances slowly or quickly, this is done on purpose as it is part of the story. I started to develop the game in 2020 and so far the game has had many changes, both in the story and in the dialogues. But the idea was always the same, I'm a bit satisfied with this project, I won't say it's my best work, but I managed to finish it and I must be happy about it. The game will be published sometime next year, in a few days I will start working and polishing the code, and I will prepare the game to receive its English translation.   14. RosesOfLove will end in act 3, the main route will be closed in this act. Unfortunately I can't include more dialogues, the main character doesn't allow me to add more content, however, act 3 may be a bit long and have time jumps. Why won't the protagonist leave you? I can't comment on why, but the dialogues are getting complicated to write and to justify the scenes. I will think about how to get to the ending I have in mind in this act, and finish the game. I have been working on this game for 4 ~ 5 years, some of my fellow developers recommended me to release the game like this. But I feel that if I only release the alternate route I am letting everyone down, that's why I will finish the main route and give it a closure. I will dedicate this month and next month to finish RosesOfLove, I worked very hard and I want you to know that. I changed so many times the dialogues and the direction of the game for everyone to enjoy it that I lost my way. Now finishing the game is my priority, I don't want to end up hating this project that I am so fond of. So, I will take the last step to finish the game.   15. UnSetSoft will cease development of games on the Unity engine and will cancel any games being developed by KagariSoft. Therefore, any game developed on this engine will be removed. (Games developed in an engine other than Unity will continue to be developed.) Unity's new policies do not align with UnSetSoft's standards, accepting this would mean losses which cannot be paid for currency conversion. That is why all games will be cancelled before this new policy takes effect, it is regrettable to do so. But UnSetSoft cannot afford any more expenses.

  18. Well, here is some new information about the "Star Princess" update. This update aims to implement the main and canon route of the game, it will focus on Hoshiko's route in its entirety. The changes that will be implemented are as follows: Hana will be removed from the route, instead her lines of dialogue will be spoken by an npc instead. Chizuru will be removed from the route, her lines of dialogue will be spoken by an npc instead. These changes do not affect the game, these two characters themselves will be part of their own route and since they do not have much participation in the main route they will be removed. However, they will be added back in the DLC that will be released after the "Star Princess" update. Regarding the "Twin Roses" route, it will be a DLC that will start from the beginning of the game, this means that it will be like playing the game from 0, but without Hoshiko's participation. The Future of the game After releasing version 1.1.0 (EA) which will be the "Star Princess" update, development will be paused until it generates enough revenue for the 1.1.1 update, which will feature the following things: New backgrounds CG Sprites UI Hoshiko Voice DLC support Music And finally, in the 1.1.2 update, the Hana and Chizuru route is expected to be implemented.
