So hyped for some of these. Radiant Tale looks so pretty, Virche Evermore seems like it'll have an interesting plot (Though I hear its pretty dark!!), and Jack Jeanne is something I've been hoping for since I heard about it being released in Japan. Come to me, otome games!

On Switch, visual novels should be able to reach a wider audience than PC exclusive titles. With this, hopefully more young people will get into this wonderful niche and ameliorate the over-aging problem in the eroge population.

Dang, I already have this on steam. I hope it sells well on the Switch--- love that we're getting more and more ports! Was I expecting the Switch of all things to become a portable VN machine when I bought it? Honestly, no. Glad it is.

Ended up getting Covid so I decided to bring out my neglected copy of "Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei" and, y'know, actually play it while I'm sick. I was expecting to close it after ten minutes of attempts at playing, because I have zero brain capacity right now, but...
Friends, it's good. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I'm on chapter 6 on Noritsune's route and so far, there's been no real romance. It's been all action-adventure. It reminds me of a mix of the manga Akatsuki no Yona and the otome game Hakuoki, wherein if Hakuoki had a writing team that seemed to like their protagonist,, this is maybe what would result.
I will have to admit that it has an unfortunately short common route!!! According to the guide I'm following, I might be almost done this route? I'm really sad  because it feels like it's only been an hour!
ALSO. I started Island. Easily one of the more.....interesting starts to a game I've played. I am not sure if I'll finish it right now, but I'll probably get back to it when I'm feeling better.

So two years back prior to the whole pandemic thingy that's going on, the website Itch.io initiated a fundraising effort for Racial Justice and Equality. It was over a thousand games, TTRPGs, various content found on Itch, for 5 dollars minimum to raise funds for Black Lives Matter. It raised over eight million dollars.
Then it was Palestinian Aid that got a bundle. That one raised 900k.
Then it just kept happening. More bundles!
All of the "major" bundles so far have been chronicled on a site called Random Bundle Game which can be found here . It lets you sort through genres, tags, you name it, because the bundles themselves do not. They are horribly formatted! There's a guide on how to link the bundle itself so you can just download it form there.
ANYWAY. I'm here because of visual novels. With all that backstory said and done with, has anyone actually tackled the visual novels found in there?
I've played Serre, two acts of Brassica A Marry Tale, and a chapter of LongStory. though otherwise I haven't quite finished anything else. I know I have my eye on playing Changeling, Errant Kingdom, and Highway Blossoms!

I got some of these bundles myself, but having such an abundance of games to play I have not really touched them. I'm planning to do smth like Stream projects or articles where I play like 5-10 of these random games, but so far I didn't get to do it yet. I did have played a lot of these games outside of the bundling context though.

I have shared the post around, let's hope more people answer

Hold up, the protag finally talks and has a personality? Nice!
I wish playing Shin's route first didn't bore me to tears. I would be all on this game if it weren't for that. But I'm glad we got an otome fandisc released! I think the only ones I can think of off the bat that had a fandisc released in English would be Code Realize, right? Even in the bishoujo-sphere, it doesn't seem to be that common to get fandiscs released.... So it's a step in the right direction.

auntwitch got a reaction from Novel21 in What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
I am currently playing the following games
Fire Emblem Three Houses - It's great, I love everyone in it, but oh my god there's something immensely boredom inducing about the way the set this game up. Explore in the beginning of the month, 1-2 weeks of studying,  maybe a bit of grinding, then end of the month battle. Repeat.  It's like they formatted it in a way to make me go "UGH, NOT AGAIN" everytime I end up seeing that menu option telling me I can explore, study, or battle. I don't even know why it bugs me so much.
Atelier Sophie - Pretty cute. It's a comfortable game with nice designs and minimal stress. The most exhausting part of it is having to pause your switch, roll out of bed, and drag yourself to the computer to find a guide on how to find a recipe. Love it.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus - Honestly I have no idea what I'm doing. I think they're trying to teach me how to do research tasks and I'm not doing a good job, lol.

Hi everyone! I'm AuntWitch. I came up with that name as a reference to me being an Aunt, who likes witchy stuff. Anyway, I'm 24 years old and I got into visual novels when I was a young kid exploring Newgrounds like an oblivious fool and found weird games that parodied popular visual novels/anime, except with a bucket full of dark humor to them. Probably inappropriate for me to have read, but it started my love for visual novels. Sadly, at the time there wasn't much to read! Ended up taking a break from VNs until I found out about Dangan Ronpa while it was being fan-translated on a forum. Katawa Shoujo was the first VN I played through by myself, but I believe Dangan Ronpa is what got me motivated to play them properly.
Anyway, with that said......it was a slippery slope. I don't know what happened, but now I have a metric ton of visual novels in my steam catalog. My favorite is probably the Nekopara franchise for how easy it is to read when you're down in the dumps, but I also love Fata Morgana and the Grisaia series. Still need to finish Eden of Grisaia and then start the Phantom Trigger series.   I like both bishoujo games and otome games, though I have a preference for bishoujo games.
It's nice to meet you all!
