  1. Never seen/heard about such a library before, but I'd suggest making sure it exists either in the system folder, the folder the EXE file is in, or any other folder the game could expect the file to be in.
  2. If you don't mind some smut here and there, maybe you'd be interested in NinNinDays? It's like 90~95% some silly romcom, and the rest, smut.
  3. As previously mentioned, the error says the game couldn't start due to a missing script. In that case, and if the error hasn't been fixed yet, it is possible the file's name got broken during extraction, if you extracted the game without using a Shift-JIS compatible setting. So please try extracting the game again while either using a program that can be set to Shift-JIS or, if using Windows Vista or above, while your system is set to Japanese locale.
  4. A bit late to the party, but if you're still looking, maybe Koe no Katachi?
  5. Never heard of it, but maybe FFMPEG or ImageMagick can?
  6. Surviving Titan (Steam) getting delisted soon™: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1239440/Surviving_Titan/ Announcement post: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1239440/eventcomments/3812909188452835633 Already shadow-delisted from Itchio.

  9. I'm still pissed NiSA removed regional pricing for their games on GOG... T-T
  10. The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk free to claim on Epic Games: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/the-dungeon-of-naheulbeuk
  11. Asura's Wrath's musics are interesting, but listening to them can be awkward since they may sound like religious music. Catherine's spin on classical musics on its OST was a surprise, but a good one nonetheless. Celeste's OST is great for setting up them mood of their respective parts in the game, with some musics even being relevant for the message being given. Dissidia 012, being a crossover of multiple Final Fantasy games, has many iconic musics, and the original musics are also pretty good. Final Fantasy VI and VII's OST work pretty well for their respective motifs. Final Fantasy XII is great for orchestral musics in both versions of its OST (PS2 one, and remaster one), as well as not following the cliché of music styles you'd expect for a given region. The God of War franchise has plenty of interesting musics in that vocal Greek style (gonna confirm at some point if it's indeed a Greek style, though). The Mary Skelter franchise is also great within its premise, with musics being played in a rhythm just odd enough to sound wrong, but without being easy to pinpoint what is wrong. Odin Sphere and Okami have good musics for their contexts, although, alone, they sound kinda meh most of the time. Persona 3 (all 3? 4? 5? versions) follow the same idea as Celeste's, if not being even more incisive with how long the game is. I find Shantae and the Pirate's Curse to be a gem in so many aspects, and the OST is no different. Songs for a Hero is, well, a game whose whole premise is that the protagonist sings based on what is happening in the gameplay. Game with good environment music #6549813: Starbound And Hearts of Iron IV has musics from Sabaton, nuff said.
  12. I had read the final saga in the manga as it was being released here in my country. I clearly remember having thought pacing was terrible and that the final saga didn't do the series justice. But upon rereading the final saga a few months ago, I still think the pacing is pretty bad, but at least now, it feels like the story works for what was being built up.
  13. Ancient Enemy free to claim on GOG: https://www.gog.com/en/game/ancient_enemy

  19. Please no perma-free games, and also please try to curate Itchio giveaways.
  20. Tricolour Lovestory -70% off: https://store.steampowered.com/app/668630/Tricolour_Lovestory/ SakuraGame seems to make only temporary publishing contracts, and they announce delistings only a few hours before the delistings. Thus the risk.
  21. Since Windows Vista, I get the impression simply changing the locale settings in the control panel is far more functional. So if you have the chance, maybe try changing it instead.
  22. I'm no game dev (hopefully some day), but having had to write far more reports and essays for university than I'm happy with, one thing that I find super relevant, and adapting slightly to the story-writing view, is to know "where do I (the gamedev) want to get with the story?". Knowing how you want to end a project makes the possible paths far clearer, as well as not having to retcon things near completion.
  23. Will it be released anywhere else, like GOG, Itchio, Jast, etc.?
