  1. Or Saya just won't be in it. lol For the animation, I've never been too impressed with JC Staff, especially considering the animation consistency in Shakungan no Shana III (Final). Otherwise, I'll put my faith in what Key has waited for so long, and they ended up choosing JC Staff. Not to mention that most of the staff for LB! are freelance/outsourced, so it wouldn't be fair to say that it's entirely on JC Staff like their previous stuff. The only real issue is that the director isn't fairly well known, and I think he was chosen for "Hatsukoi Limited" and I've never even watched that. Kill Me Baby... To be fair, the source material doesn't seem that great to work off of anyways. And then there's the usual thing where the source material is pretty much almost always better than the adaptation, so of course I don't think it'll be better than the visual novel. I certainly don't think it'll be a horrible adaptation though.
  2. I understand that the website was just launched and that some features are still incomplete, and I'm glad that the admins/staff are responding. It's good to see that. It took a bit of time, but I think I understood most of what you said since they were specific technical terms. Thank you for your response.
  3. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are lurkers. Eventually, they just come outta no where, and all of a sudden, they start to post(from my experience on other boards). The more people, the more (good?) content, hopefully. I'm pretty much the same, since I didn't post a darn thing prior to the hack, although I did have an account. As for my experience on another board, I actually browsed it for over a year not posting anything, then had around 1k posts over the course of 2-ish years, and then stopped(and occasionally lurked). People don't really notice, since people just come and go. It's the internet.
  4. Hello! Haven't even introduced myself and I'm greeting others. I think a lot of people got into visual novels with F/SN(I believe that was my first, after I found VNDS). Unfortunately I haven't read Heaven's Feel. I think a poll on reddit had most people getting "stuck" on Emi's route. I actually got stuck on that route first as well. I pretty much just got stalled off at Shizune after Emi and Hanako.
  5. So I've been following your blog for a while now since I saw the learn Japanese post, and I felt I should post some feedback on the website... Or you could consider them nitpicky. I don't really care. Sorry if you are already aware of some of these or answered them waaay back then. Just a few bunch of questions for you: Will the genre tags eventually be "clickable"? I know there are not that many novels right now, but it'd probably be nice to have this feature(in place alongside the search function that someone else requested) so they can look at a particular genre(especially all-ages for some people). This question is more nitpicky/presentation related. Will these preview/gallery images eventually work as a popup preview box/window rather than direct to it's own page(in the picture: "https://fuwanovel.net/application/assets/img/vns/33/screen01.jpg")? Another question has to do with the current state of browsing through the list of novels available. Currently, there are 3 pages, although there is no way to know that unless one were to count. Furthermore, each page is directed to "https://fuwanovel.net/novels".'>https://fuwanovel.net/novels". While I like to open each page in new tabs, this is pretty much a hypothetical situation... Suppose one were on the second page, and clicks on Katahime or Kanon or something. Then they press back. They are redirected back to the first page since the last known page to my browser is "https://fuwanovel.net/novels" rather than where they were last. I'm not quite sure what would fix this, but I think your coder might know what I'm getting at. (I think some websites use #(text here) at the end of the address/url or w/e to solve this problem) An actual issue with the website pertains to the front page. Currently, the novels under "Featured" direct to "https://fuwanovel.net/fuwa_beta/novels/XX", your beta site(which is surprisingly still up). Once I got to the beta site, I was confused as to why some of the links didn't work until I looked at my address bar. Another one is how the "Newcomer to Visual Novels" image/button does not lead to anywhere, and I'm assuming it's supposed to go to the FAQ as to what a visual novel is. I'm wondering why some novels are listed to be translated/released with the month of "0". Katawa Shojo is listed as translated on "4/0/2012". Same with "A Kiss For The Petals - My Dear Prince". In any case, it doesn't appear that view by date works at all anyways. Currently, "For more installation help please see this page." on every visual novel where the download stuff is at the bottom redirects to the same page. I'm assuming that it will be a FAQ page of its own? "That means for Windows 7, Control Panels > Region and Language > Administrative Tab > System Locale button > select Japanese (Japan) > and then restart computer." These instructions only apply to the people who are using the "View by: Large/small icons" option in Windows 7(no idea for Vista). I am almost certain that by default, it is "View by: Category". In view by category, it would be "Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region> Region and Language > Administrative Tab > System Locale button > select Japanese (Japan) > and then restart computer." Alternatively, it would be "Control Panel > Change display language > Administrative Tab > System Locale button > select Japanese (Japan) > and then restart computer." Of course, this would be appealing to the complete idiot at using the computer who can't really find anything... So it's not a big issue. Interestingly, enough, this faq has it the same way I'm describing my Windows 7 experience for Vista. Considering this, the instructions for Windows 7 at the bottom of each novel page are in fact, the instructions for Vista. Also, will each page only have one or the other: the unicode dialog box and/or the you must have a bittorrent client installed? In regards to every single torrent download, I noticed you included two other files alongside the visual novel. I'm not gonna complain about this(although someone who doesn't know how torrents work might delete them if they download every file, and then the torrent would come up with an error). In fact, I like this more than long arse text blocks on your blog and forum. I would like your blocks of text to be limited to what is in the FAQ, but alas, I can't censor you or anything. If anything, I think you've gone quieter after the site went down the first time. Will there be a FAQ page about seeding, or contributing to distribution, or just torrents in general? Will there be a "demo" section, where there will be patches/pre-patched games for say, the demo version of Witch on the Holy Night? This would actually be... a "legal" part of the website lululul. Furthermore, it'd be nice to have something that isn't the full blown game which would result in a 4GB+ download. Of course, the other options for "demo-ing" a game would be to upload it on youtube or something I guess. As for the last one... This one has more to do with your wordpress. Will you ever consider implementing something that will resize the laaaaarge images you post? Currently, it makes the webpage display at a resolution probably greater than 1280px horizontally, which is really annoying and larger than what most people browse at. Edit: I'm pretty much gonna edit this when a new question or w/e comes to mind. And maybe formatting. What's your opinion on guides? I pretty much advocate the play through it once and then you can use a guide, or something like that. Is the wiki available to us to make guides like this? About visual novels like Little Busters! which are actually still in progress... Will the page indicate which version of the patch(and the game) the torrent includes? Is the torrent going to be replaced with an entirely new torrent when a new version comes out? For things like the "Little Busters! EXperimental EXtra patch 1.0", will that be included in the torrent as a separate file, as an entirely different torrent, or will there be only one version? Edit2: So I was looking at the Fuwanovel inventory. Why not include the play time on any part of the list or the page? What if someone is looking for something shorter to start with? I understand that there is no search feature or tagging/sorting feature yet, but will this be implemented? The wiki could be used for additional info like this I guess... or even a list of beginner novels.
