I'm pleased to see more of the To Heart world getting attention, having translated To Heart 2 myself. Good luck with the project.

j2alg got a reaction from Novel21 in LOVELY×CATION machine translation?
I tried the Kakurenbo one, I could just load my save file and look at the script in later scenes
I can confirm, it's a complete mess.

I finished Yubikiri Konyaku Lolita, honestly coming right after the fantastic Soushisouai this is a step down. I liked Suzu better when she was this strange kid at the memorial service arranging dolls, not fitting into her surroundings. After growing up she became a bit boring (comparing her to other heroines in the series like Kotae and Mihato). Likewise the whole setup of the protagonist's past relationship doesn't really go anywhere, and then the game ends shortly after. I didn't feel anything like the profound impact of Mako's speech in the previous game. But it's still a decent short story and the H is good as always.

Recently I've finished Ayakashi. I've actually heard of the game back in 2010 but only got around to it this year. It was really enjoyable, it's been a long time since I've played a game like it - the writing is to the point and easy to read, but it draws you into the world. The story about the protagonists fighting other people with parasitic supernatural beings (a lot like Jojo stands) is used to deliver an overarching theme of getting over the loss of your close friends and lovers. There are a lot of bonus routes that show different perspectives and it's cool how you gradually figure out the setting. In particular I liked the relationship Maekawa has with the villain. The highly dynamic scenes with a lot of CG changes (the CG collection is huge!) were also great and gave it a a shonen manga feeling. And of on top of all it the humor was good, Anzu's route in particular had some hilarious moments.
It's a shame that apricot/crossnet never tried publishing it overseas, I think it would have been decently popular.
Next I've started Maple Colors, their previous game. There's a massive cast, and a lot of them are very memorable. The main heroine in particular, Mirai. Some of the minigames (it has fast-paced minigames you have to beat to recruit some people) are crazy hard.
I've played about 10 hours, but I ran into some technical problems, sometimes when I start the game the fps is either low or very high. Not sure what causes it

frankly, i feel it would have been swell had they worked Multi (from TH1) into TH2.
i understand that TH2 takes place many years after TH1, but since Multi is an Android,
it would have been very much feasible for her to still be at the same school, -perhaps aged-up to her middle-teens or so in some previous upgrade even-
still up to her usual school housekeeping, and befriending TH2's main cast along the way.
Personally, i feel it would have been a profoundly warm and intimate way of tying the two entries tightly together, but... i suppose that's just me.
oh well, i can always pretend such a thing was Canonical;
not to be left out, Ruuko-chan enjoys some "OBITSU-Upgrade-Love" as well;

It's worth noting, that in case of TH2 console version is the original one, while the PC version with added H-scenes arrived later.

Oh, that's interesting. I own PS3 edition, if the stories are indeed different, it might be worth giving it a go - especially since I wasn't too fond of H-scenes in PC version.

I'm done with the main VN, fav routes were Manaka, Ruu, Konomi and Yuma (I gotta check out the PS2 version someday, where Yuma's route was way different according to pixiv wiki), least favorite was Karin. Sasara's had problems, but saying I wasn't entertained would be a big fat lie.
I also played the FDCGR/DT1 spinoff, the whole intro is hilarious and parodies Uta at the start.
