  1. I've been scrounging on the Internet researching on ways for how to increase more diversity in stories and characters in entertainment media which uses the Japan-originated ”Anime-style" art, and comments by some Japanese people spurred me into wanting to plan for a more pro-active action to increase that diversity ourselves. Some Japanese said, "If you want games with Black Protagonists, why not make it yourselves ? It's faster that way, right ?" To that, I agree completely since I too can't wait anymore. I'm not Black but I want more stories with Black protagonists and diversity of characters. Therefore, from my perspective, I don't care who makes such products. It could be American, European, African, Indian or East Asian creators, since I just want to see stories like that with Black or dark-skinned protagonists. I do know that more representation will increase in Japanese-made works in the coming future, but just to give them "healthy competition" so they don't rest idly on their thrones as top animation and games maker in Asia, I urge more Westerners to make their own version of an Otaku company like China's Mihoyo. In other words, I want to see a company that could be a "Western Mihoyo" in which they create games and other otaku-catering products that appeal a lot to their local customer base ( like in America which has 13 percent Black population as opposed to less than 1 percent in Japan's population for its Black expatriates). 1. Create a Western-Mihoyo or Mihoyos(in all three North American, South American and European continents. 2. Africa can also create their own Mihoyo-like company for more stable countries. The more the merrier and bountiful for diverse characters, and stories. 3. Billionaires or multi-millionaires fund the creation of schools and colleges and universities focusing on Visual Arts, and specifically Anime and Manga Design and Video Game Making in Western and African nations. Those schools will have lots of curriculum devoted to creating artists and game developers that can rival the best in East Asia. The "African or Western-Made Tales of"-like games can be made in either of those nations. For example, the lessons can have classes focusing on studying selected few Japanese or Chinese-made games and anime and research on the details of their character design, backgrounds and art style and what makes them so good and visually pleasing, and then how to apply those same elements in our games albeit with our own characters and own climate, environments, backgrounds and story /cultures. In those schools, students must also be challenged to draw or create characters outside their race in order to build up more empathy for a more diverse fictional story creation. For example, Black students need to be assigned to create their own original White characters and vice versa....... Cross-cultural studies also needs to be introduced so as to increase more stories of "foreigner/alien in a distant land" trope which is a theme used in Dragon Ball and Superman. For example, an anime or manga made of a story set in a fictional fantasy world where a boy who looks African-like in appearance were banished from another continent and he then ended up unconscious in a distant European-inspired land where a middle-aged nobleman took him in as his own son in a coastal town. Many things can happen in the plot, such as him realizing he's actually a prince from his land who was banished due to a plot to oust him as the rightful heir to the throne by his wicked elder brother, so after the MC helped his friends and Main Girl solve their problems, in the future Story Arcs he and his new found "White" companions accompanies him on his journey back to claim his throne in his home country. How will they gain local resistance forces to fight for him to make him get back his throne ? That will be interesting story....... PS : Diverse stories like that benefits people struggling to confirm their identities in this complex and climate-changing 21st century, as Mixed-Race children are projected to increase in the latter half of this century, so more stories should be made to cater to people like them so they feel included in every aspect of life on our blue and lovely planet. Homegenous East Asian countries can't be expected to lead the way, so it is Europe and the West that has more experience and history of interacting with many different cultures over the past 3000 years( Roman Empire VS Carthage, Persia VS Greece, Moorish invasions, Crusades, Ottomans, etc...) that should take the lead in creating more diverse stories...... The world also urgently needs Isekai stories with a Black Protagonist, not just for VNs, LNs, games, manga or anime, but also in live action settings with a "Narnia but with a Black Male Protagonist" kind of setting. The heroine can be White to be more inclusive to Mixed-Race customers who would relate to such interracial settings. Heck Japanese Isekai is pretty interracial itself with the JP MC getting an Elven or White beauty as the main girl. Shoujo Manga with a Black FMC is also needed.
  2. Do you think anyone from USA or Europe would make a Visual Novel with a Black Protagonist ? We really need a VN like that fast and pronto. Because so far, there has been almost zero depictions of Black Male MCs being in a romantic relationship with any anime-style girl except for Bob Makihara in a very old anime ( Tenjou Tenge ), so I would very much like to play at least ONE VN with an MC like that. I may not be African IRL, but just a dark-skinned Asian from SEA, but I can relate and self-insert as any character that is either brown or darker(like Black people) because whenever I see characters that share my skin color get some love in anime-style fictional works, I feel comforted and satisfied, since I don't have a GF IRL and can't get one due to very complicated reasons. So, do you think anyone will make it so that I and other people of darker skin complexions can enjoy a lot ? Lighter guys already have so much representation, so can't you give us our turn for a Self-Insert Protagonist just for this one or few times for us to buy and play, pretty please ? Please pass this thread to the relevant companies that can help make this goal be accomplished. Onegai Shimasu ! I myself have enjoyed countless stories with a lighter-skinned protagonist, so can't you guys do the same in reverse, pwease~~?
  3. There are lots of benefits if there are more visual novels and even games in general if there'd be an increase in Black character representation, especially in Protagonist roles. Such characters in fiction would serve as good and positive "role models" for real-life Black gamers playing them, and when they see such heroic and relatable figures that look like them, they'd increase their self-esteem in real life even more to the point they would be motivated and perform even better in their dayjobs and daily tasks, thus helping directly and indirectly in improving and uplifiting the economies of countries in the West with significant Black populations, such as USA and European countries. Therefore, helping to make VNs with Black Male MCs and Otome games with Black Female MCs all with a cast of romance-able partners of many colors would help increase their feelings of acceptance and love, and that will help them feel more fired up to do their daily work at whatever field they're involved in, since they then know that they have recreational things to do where they feel included in it( when they can play VNs with Protagonists that look like them, some shy and low-esteem Black men IRL too would feel moved to get real-life girls in a more courageous manner when they see a Black MC managing to score their dream girl in a VN. Or some would feel more fulfilled and satisfied knowing that even if they can't yet find their "Mrs. Right" in real life, they have VNs with Black MCs to fall back on and snicker and giggle by themselves seeing cute Anime girls flirting and seducing a VN Protagonist that resembles them in skin tone, facial features and hair type ).
  4. Since I don't have much ideas on how dialogue and interesting conversation scenes should be done, I can't be able to make a VN like this all on my own by myself. I really wanted to read and play a VN like this so much it's driving me crazy. Please..... can anyone help make it with me ? There are more experienced and skilled writers in this world compared to me.... If only such people could write a Black MC VN like this.....I won't feel this bored and empty at not being able to purchase and play the product that meets my one most important requirement : A VN that features a Black Male MC with diverse romanceable heroines of many colors and types We can talk in private at my email here : [email protected]
  5. Currently, I feel very interested to play a VN with a specific African-American Protagonist ( not just an MC that looks like a Black person from a fictional race in a fantasy world but one which is stated to be precisely such an MC from the USA ), regardless of whether he'd feature in an Isekai story or a common love story with multiple heroines set in the real present world in America. However, such a VN has not been made yet, so that has forced me with no other option but to try making it myself for my own entertainment. Because, recently nothing can entertain me in the world of videogames, anime or manga dealing in themes of modern-day romcom or harem genre, fantasy or sci-fi unless if it has a Black Protagonist. This is due to my feeling bored and burned out after enjoying too many works with non-Black protagonists for the past 2 decades so I want to see something new and novel and revolutionary to combat feelings of STAGNATION and UNCHANGING WORLD like in a Matrix or some sort of engineered reality where unchangeable or hard-to-change rules are put in place. The lack of Black protagonists in popular AAA titles is a testament that this theory might hold some ground like as if this world is disadvantageous to people who have darker skin color or some sort..... Therefore I want to change this to create a Revolution for more Positive and Heroic Black representation in the world of fantasy and fiction. Think about it. Name one fantasy RPG that has a Black Male Protagonist starring in a world clearly presented as Hi-Fantasy, with swords, magic, dragons, guilds, nobles, and kings. Can you guys think of one ? It's also due to my reading about the history of African-Americans, and after reading about them, I felt pretty sad and depressed. Therefore, I want to see them in the present day world feel happy to enjoy stories that cater to their needs to beloved and accepted by many people via virtually experiencing it in an entertainment product, and I think it can be achieved by making VNs that has a MC that looks like them. It could be a Black person from a fictional race of a Hi-Fantasy world, but it can also be explicitly be an African-American as stated in the context of the story specifically for maximum self-insert ability. Either way, even a fictional one would also satisfy their needs for being loved by fictional anime girls which is important for some Black people(as well as non-Black people longing to play VNs with such MCs because some has a certain fetish or just want to see characters of that kind get the love they deserve in anime-style works) who can't find love in real life due to many reasons, so VNs with Black MCs is a powerful substitute. However, I'm neither a person of African descent nor an African-American since I'm an Asian living in an Asian country, so how could I make a VN with a Black American protagonist when I have not lived in the USA for all my life ? I too don't have any American friends IRL that I can personally seek assistance with in this matter. Can you give me some tips and advice ? Thanks very much in advance, everyone ! : D May y'all be blessed ! XD P/S : I've heard stories of African-Americans just happen to be living in predominantly White neighbourhoods in the USA and they have mostly White friends and some even went to have White GFs and wives, so I think their stories can be represented in such a VN too, but with the addition of a Black heroine too in the story for inclusion of all Americans. Heck, why not add an Asian-American as one of the romance-able heroines too ? For example, such a VN can have 2 White heroines, 1 Black heroine, and 1 Japanese-American girl heroine who has jet black hair and a Samurai-like valor in anything she does as well as being a good and capable analytical person. Since such an English-language VN would have a JP-American heroine, if we add a Japanese version of the product where we localize the language to Japanese and hire JP voice actors it can be sold well in Japan too. It can be sold via Steam and with a physical version of the product via DVD or Blu-Ray disks. There are so many possibilities for storytelling with either an AA protagonist or just a Black-looking protagonist from any other country or fictional races of fantasy warudos (world in Japanese Katakana spelling lol "ZA WARUDO" )
  6. Why not add more diversity in Protagonist types to ensure storytelling gets refreshing and innovative ? Black protagonists, Extraterrestrial protagonists, good Orc protagonists, etc. You name it. I for one would love so much to read an Isekai VN with a Black Protagonist.
  7. Hello guys, it's me, from the Black Protagonist VN thread, Nenor. Now if you already know from my threads, I have been longing so much to play a VN featuring both a Black Male Protagonist and diverse heroines of all kinds for a long time, and this has caused me deep depression at not being able to find the suitable product in the market that I can purchase or play for my own entertainment and fun. The pain of not being able to experience something despite how much you long or desire for it is causing me tremendous psychological distress, as it feels like me wanting something so much but can't attain it due to it not being created yet. I feel like as if nothing else in this world can entertain me even the slightest as I only long and desire for a VN with a Black MC now and don't want anything else, so are there are any suggestions that anyone here can offer to help me solve this problem ASAP ? I really really hope someone out there makes a VN like this because I want to play it so very much. If I am rich, I'm willing to pay as much as it takes for a quality AAA-title VN with this kind of protagonist is made in either an Isekai or Magic School setting, so can anyone help brainstorm ideas as to how to enable the creation of this VN ASAP so that I can finally be released from this stressful period in my entire life so far. By the way, due to certain specific reasons I am unable to get a girlfriend in real life for the time being, so it's necessary for me to play a VN with a Black Protagonist to make me happy. Nothing else can entertain or make me happy now, I just want a VN with a Black MC. Just one will do the trick provided it is of high-quality product and not with mostly super-amateur artwork or lackluster story..... I know in the future, there will be more diverse protagonists in not only VNs but also RPGs and sci-fi video games, but if that is 10 years later down the road that means I am simply born too early to experience such diversity in videogames. In such future times, I will probably be envious of Black or POC kids and teenagers of that future era that can so easily pick and play any games that have main characters that look like them while here I am in 2021 struggling to discover any VNs that have Black MCs with diverse heroines of all kinds of colors and types..... I was born into the wrong era to experience such diversity.....in the medium I love....
  8. I am currently thinking on what kind of story, plot and settings would be the best to support all sorts of story possibilities along the Action, Drama and Adventure genres. I am thinking that a VN made with this kind of setting below might seem to do job well, but what do you guys think ? ( Since I have no experience writing Low-Fantasy settings but only High-Fantasy settings via some fanfics and web novels ) : SCENARIO A : The year is 2057 AD. Advances in nanotechnology and advanced powered suit construction allowed for the birth of new infantry soldiers that packs multiple times more fighting abilities than the average grunt of the first half of the 21st century. Alas, as fate would have had it, inexplicably a year later after the birth of low-cost manufacturing technologies allowing those suits to be mass-produced like chocolates, a rift to other dimensions opened up at several locations around the world : near the cities of New York, Johannesburg, Tokyo, London, Lisbon, Shanghai, and Bangkok. From there, swarmed forth monsters of varying powers and abilities. At first, they overwhelmed the ill-prepared humanity into chaos and disarray. But after months of hard-fighting, it seemed that the powered suit tech they had managed to help the humans hold the tide for long enough until a certain "game-changing" development occurred. "The Gifted Ones". Due to some unknown interaction with energies pouring in to our world from those portals, some people between the ages of 15 to 23start developing supernatural abilities allowing them to easily exterminate the alien monsters, now known as "The Unfamiliars". It's now 2059 AD, and as Ademyi Khemysi from Nigeria who just awokened to the powers of "electromagnetism" and "telekinesis", now is approached by a Task force group known for combating the Unfamiliars known as "Team Lancelot", which is based in UK and has fighting members from multiple countries including Brits, French, Spaniards, Scandinavians, South Africans Japanese, Chinese and Koreans. While Team Lancelot is a huge organization, you as Ademyi will only be tasked in Squad 2nd, "Foxtrot" which is mostly comprising of female members between 15 to 22 yo from these nationalities : England, France, Norway, South Africa, Japan for a total of 5 romance-able heroines. Ademyi and the 5 girls' direct commanding officer is a hot 24 yo lady chick with silver hair that smokes a cigar and wears a cool military outfit with hi-heel boots. Names for the heroines and the Boss I have yet to think of now. So, there you go. Some of the monsters I'll introduce might look just a bit like some of the enemies in Turok : Dinosaur Hunter series but will have originality all on its own according to my own unique designs.
  9. Starting from July or August onwards, I will start posting a lot of my own original character designs' concept art here in order to realize my dreams and wishes of seeing a VN with a Black Male Protagonist being made. Please look forward to it.
  10. Again, I'd like to reiterate how I really really wanted so very much to play a straightforward vanilla VN but with adventure, fantasy or Isekai elements featuring a Black Male Protagonist, that I'm now suffering from deep depression due to this issue. Of course, I'm also attempting to make it myself, but I would really love and appreciate it if knowing that some other people other than me is also making a VN with a similar setting for the protagonist, so that I could feel that I'm not alone in wanting to do this thus making me feel less isolated with no one else that shares my feelings and passion concerning this matter. So, I hope that before this year ends, I'll find out from Kickstarter that someone else is also making a proper VN with a Black Male Protagonist ( preferably in an Isekai setting where the MC is an African-American teleported to another world ), albeit one made with all kinds of heroines, with them not just being Black heroines, but also White heroines too. As for Asian or Japanese/Oriental-likr heroines, such options would also be attractive to me, as in an Isekai or hi-fantasy world you can easily create any races that resemble IRL races with their own settings( such as you meet them in a kingdom with a multiracial population or some of those Japanese heroines are exchange students from a distant country or sort, in example), but for now I'm content if it just has White and Black heroines along with a 1 or 2 non-human heroines such as elves or vampires, etc. In the meantime I will work hard on my own VN's artwork and story, as I'm an Otaku that has been enjoying these kinds of content for the past 20 years, but for now no VN seems to interest or excite me anymore unless if it features a Black Male Protagonist. Maybe after I have enjoyed 1 or 2 wholesome vanilla VNs with a Black Male MC from now I will finally be "cured" from my depression and be back to normal being able to enjoy any work made with any kind of MC, so I really hope so much anyone here would be able to do anything within their power so as to make this happen. I will be praying very hard tonight too in a New-Age style to the Universe, to beseech and implore that the Creator would help open the hearts of some people in either America, Europe or even Japan so that anyone of them feels the initiative to make a Pure-Love Fantasy Adventure or Isekai or Magic School Battle VN with a Black Male MC. Currently I'm very depressed and bored due to not being able to play and experience any VN with this kind of protagonist settings, that I feel like there's nothing left in this world that could make me live in anticipation more. Currently I'm just slogging through my dull and uninteresting daily life with no girlfriend ( as I have my own very personal problems that would not permit me at this moment to start any kind of romantic relationship in real life ), so finally being able to see that someone else is also making a VN with a Black MC would really do tons to help cheer me up now knowing that there is still faith and hope to be had in humanity. As it would prove that there are still open-minded, empathic and caring people out there that do consider the needs and cries of the Black nerd community too. Please, I implore to everyone here : Can you help do anything within your power to make such a VN come true or at the very least, spread word of this heartfelt wish of mine ? Please...... I only need one vanilla VN with a Black Male MC and diverse romanceable heroines of all types and colors, and then I'm good to go. That's the only thing I ever need in my entire life and I'll be happy again. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu m(_ _)m
  11. Anyway, I sincerely, passionately and eagerly hope that some American Otakus from many different backgrounds ( White, Black and Asian, etc) band together and emulate the Chinese company Mihoyo in establishing a videogame company that specializes in Eroge or Visual Novels and Otaku-aimed anime games. That way, that company can make VNs with all 3 Black, White, and Asian MCs ( with the first project being African-American MC due to Whites already having so much representation especially if you include games like Resident Evil with Chris Redfield as well as the MC from Death Stranding ) accompanied with diverse heroines from many races or colors. The slogan can be something like, "American Otakus Make The USA Cool Again" or "US Otakus for Freedom and Liberty", or "US Otakus creating for every American". The Otaku circle to start that company in the US can include members comprising of well-known anime artists based in the US that are active on sites like DeviantArt as well as programmers, fashion designers and many more. No matter if you're White, Black, Asian or Native, as long as you're American you should feel united in a common cause to make VNs that cater to everyone over the next decades in operation ( hopefully the 1st project will be successful financially )
  12. Also, I really think that more Americans should try making VNs with Black Protagonists. After all, if Japan, a country that has not more than 1 percent of their population can make even a few VNs or Eroge with Black characters in them(even though they're mostly used for NTR roles), there should be no excuses why American creators to not try making it, since they actually have African-Americans there comprising 13 percent of the population that can be a valuable consumer target market for such VNs. Heck, why not try making an Isekai VN with an African-American MC instead who gets teleported to another world with fantasy and magic ? That way, you can easily throw any kind of romanceable heroines at it including elves, noblewomen, princesses, vampires, succubuses, female knights, etc. Though it may be necessary to include at least one dark-skinned heroine too in the mix to prevent the creators to be accused of colorism imo. Just diversifying the kinds and types of protagonists in VNs and Isekai stories can really bring a refreshing new take or spin on a commonly-used theme and allows us to view them from another entertaining and new perspective. It's like meals. Anyone would get bored if they're fed the same kind of meal every single day, right ?That's why we need Black protagonists too. Not all VNs have to have Black MCs but one or two or three of them made in USA won't hurt. Don't you agree ? To explore things never been done before is part of human nature, right ? By the way, I don't count ValiDate as a VN in my opinion as it is just an unenlightened politically-motivated game with potentially racist undertones that excludes White heroines and characters from the story. I can't relate to it as I have Black friends that have White spouses and they're pretty offended at such games that are not inclusive to both of their backgrounds. Therefore, other American creators need to exercise their own creative liberties to make proper VNs with a likeable Black MC and lovely and charismatic Romanceable Heroines from many races and colors regardless of whether the setting is in modern-day America, Isekai or a high-fantasy world. I myself am working on such a VN, but not with an African-American MC but with a fictional "Black race" in a fantasy world.
  13. I have been wondering about this issue for a long time. As the number of Black otaku continues to rise every year, there are bound to be an increasing number of Black nerds that want the same ability as their Japanese and White counterparts in being able to consume media featuring main characters that look like them, in terms of skin color, hair or implied ethnicity. Since Japanese people too are very open and unapologetic in wanting to enjoy mediums with relatable self-insert protagonists that share their ethnicity and skin color as evidenced by the sheer number of blank-state or bland Japanese MCs in Isekai and Narou stories, it would be foolish to assume that Black nerds won't think the same with regards to wanting to see relatable MCs in the media they love. Therefore, I'd like to ask a simple question. How open are you to the idea of playing a VN with a Black Protagonist ? There are some that says that the race or color of the MC doesn't matter as long as the story and Heroines are interesting enough. If that is really true, then they wouldn't mind if the protagonist is Black, right ? It doesn't have to be NTR crap for such MCs to be introduced. Black MCs can appear as a normal hero too in a straightforward pure love VN or Eroge, as evidenced in the Netflix anime "Yasuke". I hope that the idea of Black Protagonists would be normalized in VNs, especially ones made in the West. They're human too just like you and me. Besides, there is no law that says you can't make a fictional work with a protagonist that has a different appearance, skin tone, background or ethnicity from your own. Creators should be able to explore boundless limits in storytelling and be more adventurous to prevent cliched stagnation of overused elements in character relationship dynamics. I think multiracial countries like America and some Southeast Asian countries like Singapore can really lead the way in making games with diverse protagonists and interracial or intercultural romance, especially in the Visual Novel medium. What do you guys think ?
  14. This is another illustration of my OC, Mary Garson in a scene I want to write in my VN where she fights against the Protagonist in a duel. I have yet to give my Protagonist a name, character design or background yet as I'll save that for later as it's harder for me to draw male characters at my current skill. I intend for this scene to take place around the time the Protag attends the Landhurt Royal Magic Academy during the first day. He was rushing to the school as he got up late, and when he was running through what at first seemed a deserted path leading to the academy gates, he saw that there's also one girl who turned up late to walk to the school in front. She seemed to walk at a slow and almost nonchalant pace, so the Protag slowed down a bit to approach and greet her, but suddenly, he felt like as if someone pushed him from behind. Pushed by the invisible and undetectable "person", he unintentionally tripped and pushed Mary to the ground with which one of his hands accidentally grabbed her chest. Of course, the Protag tried to explain, but Mary being one of the daugthers of noble houses felt that her dignity as a lady has been defiled even by that accident, so she challenges him to a duel so she can have an excuse to beat him up real good to feel compensated for the accidental "hand on her....chest". She also felt somewhat irked that the protagonist who groped her chest inadvertently in that accident seems like a commoner from one of the minority ethnicities of the kingdom, from the Kun'yapeh race, and while she doesn't feel any particular discriminatory feelings towards minorities nor care too much about differences of skin colors, she does feel somewhat bothered that a commoner regardless of his/her race would touch her in her private areas considering that she has not even had a male fiance from another equal noble house touching her yet. So accident or not, she just wants to set the record straight and teach MC a lesson in a duel. The plot point of who was the one who pushed the protagonist while invisible, would be revealed later as the story progresses. I changed her uniform to include long sleeves and other details. Since I have to draw with a mouse it really limits the speed and accuracy of my lines during the sketching process, so I am still unsatisfied of my stiff drawings. For this pose, I drew on my own using imagination as it is hard to find a relevant image that matches this one, and I also don't have a phone or recording device to capture myself doing this pose for reference.
  15. Thank you very much for your recommendations! I'll check them out!
  16. Hi guys Currently I am wondering if there are any VNs made with the story set in a high-fantasy world with Magic Academy. Tsubaki Iro Koi-uta, and other similar titles set in futuristic settings don't count as they seem sci-fi or low fantasy setting to me. Even Sorceress Alive I don't consider it hi-fantasy due to certain spoilers. Is there any VN set in a magic academy of a hi-fantasy world ? To provide a frame of reference, what I'm looking for would be similar to the setting in Light Novels like Seirei Tsukai no Kenbu, Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha, Seiju no Kuni no Kinju Tsukai and Saikyou Mahoushi no Inton Keikaku.
  17. I have just finished the character design of one of the 3 "White" romanceable heroines in this VN project of mine that features a Black-looking Protagonist who is an individual from one of the fictional races in my VN's fantasy world, and this art was drawn using my own amateur art skills drawn with a mouse. Her name is Mary Garson which you can see below. The story is set in a Magic Academy and Mary's primary weapon is her small size staff here which she can use like a wand to cast magic. At close ranges, she can also fight hand-to-hand in unarmed martial arts and specializes in kicking techniques, which are useful when the enemy closes in on her. She is the sole daughter of Duke Carius Garson and heiress of the House of Garson. As for her personality, she is the stoic and quiet type and rarely smiles, but very diligent in her studies at the Landhurst Royal Magic Academy. She also feels somewhat of a huge pressure to perform well since her father demands of it as she would succeed her family's leadership position one day as a member of a noble house. Therefore, once you as the player enters her Heroine Route, I would like to give players a huge catharsis once your relationship with her is that close to the point you can enjoy her smiles to you. She rarely smiles to anyone except those closest to her like her parents, so once you she falls in love with the player you will finally get to see her cute and refreshing smile more often. She is 17 years old and is a first-year student at the Academy, which has up to 3 years of curricular material before graduating. After graduating they'll get a certificate of sorts which would allow them to get employed as a recruit in the Royal Mage Forces of the Landia Kingdom. Depending on their score upon graduation and their magic skills, they can easily rise up to officer level within just a few weeks upon enlisting. The Landian Kingdom is embroiled in territorial disputes with 2 neighbouring kingdoms, and has "Phantasmic Beasts" monsters to worry about, so they need all the mages they can muster for national defense. Finally, I'd like to mention that I drew this one with a mouse so it looks a bit stiff the pose and the sketching process was quite slow, but I will try harder next time : ) https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WK5kZ3 mm,
  18. Thanks for your feedback everyone I am at heart, a very shy and introverted person, so for me to create a thread like this seeking assistance from people to work with me on creating this VN is testament to the fact of how I can't wait anymore to play a game like this. I think that Otaku of African descent would love to play a VN with a Male Protag that looks like them, sharing their skin tone or hairstyle, so I want to make this kind of game to offer them some form of powerful stress reliever especially for the shy types that can't get a girl in real life due to any reasons. Of course, people of non-African descent can relate to a Black protagonist too, just like how Black people can enjoy stories with a Japanese protagonist for all this time. I'd like to share and discuss more ideas on how to make this game a reality, so if anyone here's serious on helping me, please PM me here or contact me via my email address here : [email protected]
  19. Mashiro Iro Symphony because it didn't include stories for other heroines like Amagami.
  20. Foot fetish for sure. It is definitely something I'd like to incorporate into my own VN project, as one of the Romanceable Heroines in my game is supposed to be super-flirty and seductive with my VN's protagonist.
  21. (UPDATED ON APRIL 22ND 2020 INCLUDING MY OC DESIGNS FOR USE IN MY VISUAL NOVEL PROJECT ) Currently, I am longing so much to play a VN with a Black Male Protagonist, so since I can't wait any more longer for any companies from America or Japan to make it happen, I now want to take matters into my own hands and solve the lack of a commercial VN product with this setting by making it myself. The problem is, I currently now lack funds, resources, expertise, personnel and many other factors that would be necessary into turning it into at least a B or A-class ranked commercial VN product. It doesn't have to be triple A class rivalling some Japanese VN eroges like Grisaia or Sorcery Jokers, but something like this >>> So, of course I have now come to the realization that I can't do this alone, so I want to recruit at first volunteers to work and cooperate with me in our VN project that'll star a Black Male Protagonist. If any of you guys here are interested or know anyone that you think could help me get men for my project, can you please reply here ? By the way, while I'd like to be the Lead Project Director that'll make key decisions in the game's story and setting after discussing and getting some important suggestions from other experts in the project members list, here are staff members I'm recruiting for : 1. Investor(s) Making a proper VN that'll be a great commercial product takes a lot of money, especially if we want to hire music composers, background artists, theme researchers and technical experts on some fields related to the game's story and settings, programmers, etc, so I could use a few investors willing to contribute a collective amount of at least a minimum of $25,000. 2. Music Composer Music is an important part in any game, especially for a VN that relies only on a non-playable reading aspect, so the music has to be good to draw you in to the story and make it memorable. For that I need the services of an experienced professional music composer. 3. Writer I need a very experienced professional writer to write the dialogues and overall plot of my VN's story and characters. I am aiming for a very long and gripping main plot involving conspiracies surrounding the main antagonist, all in a fantasy setting with a magic academy, so I want at least a total playtime of 50 hours if one aims to play all 5 Romanceable Heroine routes plus the Common Route. 4. Expert Field Researchers Any story element thought of by the writer that contains specialized information of specific fields like in scientific terms/knowledge and the like requires for it to be based on true facts, so some experts in that field can be recruited for my project for him to check and confirm the authenticity of the Writer's points in the facts written of those specific elements. 5. Background Artist and Character Artwork Illustrator ( UPDATED ON 22ND APRIL 2021 ) While I can draw my art is still not Pro-Level yet, so require the services of a pro illustrator for my project. He needs to be able to draw cute Heroines in anime Moe-style design, as well as being able to draw character artwork for my Black Male Protagonist, which must have curly hair, very dark skin, wears glasses and looks like an intelligent nerd who can fight well(Think of a Black and slightly muscular version of Bleach's Uryuu Ishida)and with Black facial features(His face can look somewhat similar to that one Black character named Hermes from Square Enix's Front Mission 4). Among my 5 Romanceable Heroines, 3 of them will be White or European-looking girls(since my target consumer audience would be Americans and Europeans, as well as Japanese who would be interested since I'll be adding Japanese language version too only for the text ). Of the remaining 2, one of them would be a Black or dark-skinned girl, and the remaining would look like a Japanese girl with fiery red eyes, black hair and long ponytail wielding a Katana and wearing pitch-black tights with her school uniform's mini skirt. As for the 3 White Heroines, one of them would be an Ara-Ara type elder Senpai kind of girl who's older than the MC and loves to tease and flirt with the MC sexually, and she would have a hairstyle with braids tied around her head with long wavy hair flowing down to her butt. I'll tentatively name her Christine here. I have just finished the character design of one of the 3 "White" romanceable heroines in this VN project of mine that features a Black-looking Protagonist who is an individual from one of the fictional races in my VN's fantasy world, and this art was drawn using my own amateur art skills drawn with a mouse. She's not Christine but the Main Heroine, whose name is Mary Garson which you can see below. Finally, I'd like to mention that I drew this one with a mouse so it looks a bit stiff the pose and the sketching process was quite slow, but I will try harder next time : ) https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WK5kZ3 This is another illustration of my OC, Mary Garson in a scene I want to write in my VN where she fights against the Protagonist in a duel. 6. Lead Project Adviser This position will help give me advice on specific details that need tweaking from all efforts made by the other staff members. 7. Voice Actresses for all 5 Heroines and several other male characters. That is all I can think of for now. For Return On Investment ROI profits, I aim for it to be sold on Steam at a price of $60, and aim to sell a lot to break even and still earn so much profits beyond that, so the story and characters has to be that damn good to generate massive interest and publicity around it. The investors can take most of the profits along with the rest of all the staff members, and I am content to enjoy only around 5 percent of the total earnings.
  22. Hi, I'm Nenor, and I love VNs very much and hope for more innovation in this industry! I hope Americans and Europeans too would emulate Japan to make more VN-like games in the future so we can make stories tailor-made to fit our own interests and cultures! : )
