omg this thread is speaking my mind xD Since a few months ago i'm kinda sick with school setting vns, its becuz most of the vns i played have a school settings a few time its okay but when i see the most tled vns SCHOOL SETTING SCHOOL SCHOOL SCHOOOOOOOOOOOL! ahhh, im so tireed of it. Its not like i dont play any of the school settings vn now, but i try to avoid it, i would prefer a translated one with a protag who has a cool job~ As for non-school vns i only can name u the tled ones i played: Demonbane, Utaware, Kamidori, Sekien no Inganock, Swan Song (student charas but doesnt really focus so much on it) theres also Kara no Shoujo where the protag is a adult but the heroines are high school students, it has gore though. And maybe Deardrops too, student charas but its main focus is music~

whaaat, otoge thread and nobody says second reprooo? here, this one is maybe the only engl otoge that i like xD (starry sky in spring was so boring for me) i really like it, u should give it a try http://vndb.org/v3319 There are bunch of many cool jap. otoges i could give u a list full of them, but cant really say anything to them since i only play tled vns.

I think there will be a LB ex anime if i'm not wrong, maybe i have my hopes high too up but i hope the LB ex TL is out before it >.< dont really wanna watch the anime before it, though i still need to finish refrain anime. And on Katawa shoujo im on Hanakos arc now, i cant believe it how much im enjoying it so far eventhough it has no voices @__@ curse mee and Kenji is the best and funny buddy ever, hes so cool xD

Mioo! my faav giirl (aside from Saya, eventhough i havent even played her route till the LB! ex TL is finished ahaha *cries*) Did u already played her route? tell me how u liked it :3 And as for me, i finished kikokugai the cyber slayer the day before yesterday. It was really good eventhough it was unvoiced *shivers* I still have my Kamidori (where i only finished my first playthrough with yuelas route) playing there slowly into second playthrough and almost done with Zettai Fukujuu Meirei (yaoi vn) I'm actually thinking of downloading Katawa Shoujo later... I have pushed it away so often, becuz no voices (dont mind 2-10hours vn without voices but katawa is 10-30h, dead!) but its not like i actually force myself to play because im very interested in it. Seeing how many newbies got into vns becuz of it and that its actually is tearjerker vn (or so i heard from friends) I can doo eet! katawa i can conqueer uu! *self motivation* xD

Whoah nice what u wrote there Steve~ and i actually do agree with most of ur points, that the charas are very important and that the love should be there. Eventhough i mostly say to all people when i start a new vn or so that im interested in the story, i wouldn't actually continue to play it if i dont care about any of the characters. Though seeing that u feel so emotional about hoshimemo- especially HOSHIMEMO! makes me feel bad, since i dropped it right at the beginning becuz i couldnt endure chinami. She is...so annoyiinng @__@ that "onii-chaaan oniii-chaaaan" gyaaaa xD just my opinion though. Still have it on my backlog to try it again if i dont have anything to play or feel like playing it, but i hope that moment will never come..maybe.

How i first got into vns turned out really weird. It was just when i was about 13-14 years old, i was just looking through anime vids at youtube, then i somehow came across the Little Busters! OP. And i loved it so much, not just the song... how all the chara looked so nice, this 'group of friends' image, difficult to explain but i really loved it, i felt like i knew 'this thing is damn awesome' eventhough i knew nothing bout it. So i watched even more LB vids, amvs and vn gameplay vids eventhough i didnt knew what it was about. I also took a liking to that baseball mini game. So then some month/year later i kinda came across LB vids again and saw that there is a english gameplay vid on it. There where many engl gameplay vids from it, and i kinda watched a bit and still didnt knew what LB really is, it didnt really didnt looked that much like a 'game'. Then also for the FIRST time i googled Little Busters and readed through the info bout the game and the charas on wikipedia, but found out that it was only in japanese (or i just gave up on it) but i still had hoped that one day it would be tled that i am able to play it. Then 1-2 years later when i was 16years old, i kinda came across LB vids on youtube again, and then googled it again...and found out that it was TRANSLATEED! That was maybe the best moment of my life and it kinda felt like FATE DESTINY! that i found LB again. I actually didnt minded that it was in english (since my native langauge isnt english but german) becuz i always liked english lessons in school. I searched then download links, at first it was fucking confusing how to do this mounting thing and how it everything worked and and i began to play it and also needed to look SOO MAANY TIMEEES into english dictionary (becuz there where quite many words i never knew or heard before). best thing ever XD

Aaaand i also finished Utaware now. its sooo good! thaaat endiiing, i didnt expected it at all, i crieed soo muuch. At first i didnt really wanted to start the vn becuz it has a linear plot where are not really chara routes, but after seeing the end, i dont mind it. It actually kinda fits that its linear. I'm still undecided what vn to start next, maybe suika. anyone playeed it?

And yea, utaware is really great so far, the thing what makes me mostly curious is about the protags past. sooo cuuriouus~

Heya guuys~ im cherry, im a 19 year old obasan who played vns for 3 years now~ im also one of those evil fujoshis B) if u wanna stalk me, i live in that boring germany. I've been always online in erojiji forum from craneanime to talk bout vns there, but maybe its nice to talk in another vn forum too. My most fav vn ever will be Little Busters! becuz that is my first vn afterall and i never will forget the feeling how it was when i played it for the first time, soo good. Other than that, g-senjou, grisaia, DC2, ever17, sharin, shikkoku, deardrops, rewrite, saya no uta count as my fav too, as many others xD oh and umineko! i just had finished it last weekend, it is really awesome too. I really dislike harems, though i still have muv luv on my backlog what i wanna play someday becuz i heard its pretty good, but it looks a bit harem-ish...so not really motivation to play it *cries* But theres only one thing in vn stuff that i cant do, i cant play unvoiced vns! short vns are ok, but middle or long vns without voices...no just no. i just cant do it, eventhough i would like to try rance or katawa shoujo but i just caaaaannnttt. OK THAT WAS IT NOWWW! im finisssheeeed~

I respect the people here who can play hoshizora...i dropped hoshizora after 15 mins or so, becuz i couldnt stand chinami. she is so annoying and that sprite where u can see her armpits...*shivers* T__T Oh and im playing utaware and this ying yang x change currently. Utaware is my first vn with gameplay i have always avoided vns with gameplay eventhough i really like to play them, im one of these people who die easily in rpgs, eventhoug i like them, im just a noob at them xD so i have a feeling it will take me some time to finish, more like becuz of the battles. currently on one, i didnt touched it since yesterday becuz i lost there 2x, maybe i try it later agaain. and i like how the protag is voiced, so cool~
