Currently preserving games from dead company
Spooky Saint replied to ReiKun's topic in Visual Novel Talk
This is some good thing you are doing. Otherwise, people forget about some nice devs pretty soon especially if they made underrated games. Like, If JAST wouldn't have had localized DO's games people wouldn't have ever known about games like Kana Imouto, Family Project and Crescendo. -
No lmao. This is fuwanovels, not reddit that people'll be toxic towards you for no reason. Enjoy your stay here.

Okay. I will do that. Thanks for addressing the issue

It doesn't exactly work, the way it should

Is there too many differences between the original and the reboot? Because otherwise, I think the old walkthrough would be as effective for reboot version too. I wasn't exactly hyped for escalayer so I dunno what changes they have made in the reboot but I don't think it would be that extremely different from OG

Katawa Shoujo, the queen of homemade VN
Spooky Saint replied to giatam86's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Lmao and the only Western VN to make a mark there. There are some good ones from western developers but none has reached that level of Katawa Shoujo(DDLC maybe but it's still a ripoff despite being well polished). Tbh even after completing it, I didn't realize that it was a western VN for a long time. Not to say Western VNs are bad, but good ones are very few like Everlasting Summer(these devs are particularly top-notch), The letter, etc -
List of Visual Novels/Games with Harem Ending
Spooky Saint replied to droganpc's topic in Recommendations
itch.io is great but for indie games, not indie visual novels. I have seen a great amount of visual novels there but its also over saturated with demos, alphas and betas that are usually dropped after some time especially when the game has 18+ content. But as far as all ages indie visual novels go, there are plenty of them. -
First CG of my Visual Novel! Do you like it? ♥
Spooky Saint replied to giatam86's topic in Creative Corner
This crayony style is quite new tbh. I have seen cell shaded, 3DCG(which are worst) and digital art ones. I haven't played your VN but this CG gives a way of dark and gritty vibe similar to that of any dark plot VN or either a scene of heartwrenching heartbreak. I really haven't seen this kind of artstyle in either Japanese or Western Visual novels. Your artist is really awesome. Good luck for your game pal. -

Nutaku games are absolute trash. DLSite's games are better despite a vast majority of them having machine translations. The only downside is there are rarely any vanilla games on that website. Perhaps there are some in Japanese but 1/100 are vanilla ones in Harem department. Rest all are rapege -
Lmao yes. f95zone is the fuwanovel for degen-exclusive stuff

Can someone tell me about Suika2 engine in detail?
Spooky Saint replied to Spooky Saint's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Oh this helps tbh. That's why I wasn't able to adjust the buttons correctly. Btw I'll wait for the videos. Thanks again for the explanation. -
Can someone tell me about Suika2 engine in detail?
Spooky Saint replied to Spooky Saint's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Sorry I wasn't able to get into contact with you earlier. I have tried to play around with the engine and have found it way better than Ren'Py as a beginner friendly visual novel engine. Only two engines whom I consider way above in terms of "getting people into VN development" is Suika2 and Tyranobuilder. Problem is that, in Tyranobuilder I have actually been able to make a full game (it was only 20 minutes long but still...) and I was able to make scenes with Suika 2 and it's exporting feature is actually pretty fluid and smooth. The things where I am confused are areas that haven't been exp -
Katawa Shoujo, the queen of homemade VN
Spooky Saint replied to giatam86's topic in Visual Novel Talk
DDLC is good tbh but still its kinda rip off. On the other hand though Katawa Shoujo was filled with some cliche it was truly on OG story. DDLC has its fanbase but its nothing compared to Katawa Shoujo -
Katawa Shoujo, the queen of homemade VN
Spooky Saint replied to giatam86's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I loved every route except of Shizune. She just doesn't sit well with me. I don't usually say this for VN heroines but...I really hated Shizune as a character and my hate became much worse when I found out that there was no Misha's route except that affair part which leads to bad ending. I could have easily chosen Misha over Shizune. As far as my favourite routes go its Emi>>>Hanako>>Lily>Rin. I don't even consider Shizune's route to give it a rating but it's just my personal feelings about her. As for other people who do consider her as a good heroine, I can understand why? -

Problem getting JParser to recognise edict
Spooky Saint replied to aetherol's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Its is a usual problem with windows tbh. The defender wouldn't even notify you that its quarantining/deleting something because it flags it as a virus and programs like parser usually gets detected as viruses. It has happened with me numerous times. -
So I was trying to extract the files from the game directory for this game - https://vndb.org/v19083 But when I extract the files from the circled ones, the texts that come up are garbled nonsense. I tried to switch to different encoding but the results remained the same. First of all I went into the game directory and extracted the contents of this file - Then I selected the CODE file to open thinking it will have the coding part - But all it showed was this blasphemy - Then I changed the encoding several times but the results were more or less the same - Does a

I was just wondering what's the whole process of starting a localization company. I was intrigued by the idea but searching on the net amounted to nothing. I would be very grateful if someone can explain me the process, especially in details.

List of Visual Novels/Games with Harem Ending
Spooky Saint replied to droganpc's topic in Recommendations
Yep lamo. My PC meets the minimum system requirement and that game still runs slow and its not a problem with the engine because I have played other nsfw RPG Maker games too like One1One's catalogue of games and they run flawlessly and a vast majority of them do. Some developers just don't focus too much on optimizing their games for every PC. Otherwise I don't understand why the f*ck does GTA 5 runs flawlessly on my PC but Siluman soft games couldn't. -
Maybe lol bcuz in Hentai you can't expect anything to be of absolute nature. There's nsfw parody of hentai which is parody of another borderline h anime...and such.

List of Visual Novels/Games with Harem Ending
Spooky Saint replied to droganpc's topic in Recommendations
Don't bother purchasing their games if you don't have a powerful PC/laptop. They make pixel games and yet it runs so shabbily, and drains a huge amount of RAM. The polishing and graphics were decent enough but the game was unplayable because of lag. Damn, even Witcher 3 ran in my PC in better way. -

I am downloading NeetWorking by Siluman Soft. I'll tell you about them after I try a few of their games.
