Does someone plans to make walkthrough for Suki Suki (If You Love Me, Then Say So!) ?

Let's say SukiSuki is a 3 part cake.
2 slices are Dating Sim and 1 slice is VN.
That's the thing, there's no memo about that, so if you bought it, you're stuck with a weird DS/VN hybrid.
It could have worked very well as a regular VN but the dating structure and the convoluted mechanics for confession and weekly MVP system kill the narrative horribly.
So yeah, making a guide for a dating sim is a tough endeavor, specially when some events are random and can disappear without warning. Picking an event and then completing its chain in order is often necessary for some routes. That's why the game has a tutorial you can refer to if you get lost, but even with save scumming, you can get stuck many times trying to get an ending.
I suspect we won't have a proper walkthrough in a long time unless someone translates the official Chuable one. u.u

  2. Umm..
Time for an elegant and unexpected return! ;)
Randomness aside, This is quite likely one of my favorite VNs of all time.
So I would like to help the project in some form.
I don't have hacking skills and my japanese is quite basic, but..
I could help decensor the H-scenes (as in remove the mosaic censoring.)
I'm a freelance artist and I did the original Majikoi decensoring images.

If you are interested, please let me know.
I don't know what the community thinks about decensoring today as compared to a few years back when I worked on the Majikoi project, but
if not everyone is on board with it, you can give people the option in an installation   "decensored or original"

  4. Upvoted! good luck with your project! :D

A kind word of warning: This sub forum is for ongoing/in development projects.

While there's no issue with advertising finished projects, please do so at the Creative Corner sub forum, since if you announce a completed project here it will be moved to the completed project archive.

    Cheers :P

    Hello everyone!
    Yup, we're alive.
To cut a long story short, we had a share of difficulties with our script, real life and time zones. Which of course is nothing new.
We have no excuse and we sincerely apologise for the delay. While we are currently doing our very best to get the demo out ASAP
there's no estimated ETA yet but we'll keep you guys updated, tentative release date would be early this year.

Without further ado we leave you with the first update of the year and the changelog (Indeed, we changed a boatload of things)
As you have probably noticed if you checked our main page post, well....there's plenty of changes made to both plot and setting.
From character names to location and framework, Violet Hill underwent a massive overhaul.
    The changes are as follows:

    --Changelog for Violet Hill v5.0--

    - Names and nicknames - Character names have been updated accordingly; some have remained similar or unchanged, most have been changed entirely.
    - Lore - all manner of worldbuilding will be adjusted to match the new location of the story.
    - Location - Now in Oxfordshire England ~60-100k people in the large town/small city, mainly British in inspiration.
    - Backstory - Sarah and Kaylee have been changed (esp. Sarah); some changes to Andrea
    - Landmark names - Landmarks have been changed accordingly with the exception of the Wakamoto express which will stand true to its homage *salute*.
    - School system - British system; think about A-levels
    - School events - Mostly the same; adapted to fit with culture.
    - Schedules and habits - Changing them to reflect the new location.
    - Mindstorm- Some changes.
    - Route framework- Pretty much the same.
    - Mindstorm info - Unchanged save for mythology adjustments on the sci-fan end; sci-fi remains the same
    - Clothing - Unchanged, uniforms will remain the same also as well as any fanservice resulting in their use.
    - Flag events - In discussion. Possibly 1 or 2 flags to keep narrative consistent.
    - Exploration segments - Unchanged mostly
    - House combing  - Still thinking about how we insert this.
    - Nighttime events - Mostly moved to later development.
    - Geotags - Overhauled to match the new location and lore.
    - Audio logs - overhauled to match changes. Need to think about distribution.
    - Art club - Changed in how it’s made and its cultural side, but quite similar.
    - Club events - Changed to reflect new school system.
    - Romance and lovey dovey stuff- Almost completely unchanged. May include a couple of British cultural references tho.

That's all for the moment, we'll keep you guys updated.
It might be abit late but: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016!
Many thanks for your support! It means the world to us!!

Kind regards, Red Lattice Studio Team.

  6. -November Update-

    lB12r4D.png

Hello guys! How are you doing? We're doing just fine..err..more or less actually.

We're still alive and kicking despite appearances, however there's some good news and bad news to announce.

The good news? The project is very much alive and we're doing our best to complete it ASAP. The bad news....

...is that we were back to the drawing board with the script. That's right, for reasons yet unspecified Alex_Omega

has left the team and we were left without a DEMO script and without anything to replace it. Fortunately we managed

to create a solid and consistent framework which will help us in the future once we find a new writer. It's sad and yeah,

it's frustrating but all we can do is chin up and keep doing our best. For now, do know that we're in search of talented

writers! and we'd very much love to have you if you're interested! So don't hesistate to post below or PM anyone from

the team. I'll also post the pro forma below for those interested :)

As for our current status, we have more assets and are still actively working in what can be done for now. We can no

longer give you guys an ETA for the DEMO due to these circumstances but we assure you we'll do our best to have it ready

    as soon as possible.

Kind regards: Red Lattice Studio team.

  7. Seasons of Sakura - The only bad end you can get has Yuuji join the School liberation front and the Survival club. There's nothing bad about it except you don't get a girlfriend.

Hoshizora e Kakaru hashi - There's one ending where you pick Ayumu over any of the girls. You simply decide to stay by your brother's side and take care of him.

Steins;Gate - With the exception of the True end, all other endings are arguably bad ends (although they're of the "happy ever after variety", the main plot never gets resolved). I'd put forward my arguments as to why but, spoilers.

Rewrite - Same case as with S;G, except for the main plot ends (moon and terra) every other ending is essentially a bad one. It only turns "bad" if you consider what will happen in the future, tho.

  8. Might as well be a cyber vigilante by now if we are waiting for one of our greatest invention and means of communication (i.e. the internet) to get censored and owned completely.

Ok. you gotta stop reading post-apocalyptic, dystopian future, sci-fi novels. XD

Sadly reality is more boring than fiction and someone owning the internet anytime soon is a tall order.

The repercussions of censoring all forms of free speech and expression would trigger your belated war anyway. XD

  9. Wonderful!
The premise is very interesting and I can't wait to know more about the story. I was hooked just by the synopsis!
Do you plan on releasing a demo?

  10. i will get off topic here:

what is the minimum visual novel that you must read to become a reader in visual novel?

how do i know if the visual novel is outside of a large title or not? (i think i only read large title because the translator is only translating the large title)

ive read at least 20vns (some with gameplay) so am i one of those?

Literally zero. If you say you're a visual novel enthusiast, who the fuck has any say in the matter? You can be a Shoot 'em Up fan without having ever finished one.

I agree. It a really subjective thing and you can't exactly grade ppl by the amount of games they've played. Hell you could grade them based on the knowledge of existent VNs or the number of hours read/played. If anyone would like a friendly scale of fandom, then perhaps...

    casual-----------------------enthusiast------------------------------------fan----------------------------------------adept--------------------------veteran
    2-5 hours read           10+ hours read or 1-2 VNs read      30+ hours read or 5-7 VNs read     100+ hours 15+VNs     500+hours 30+VNs

YMMV of course and then again, it's still subjective. It would be hard to call yourself a VN reader if you haven't even finished one tho,
regardless of how many hours you've read, but it's still possible as Palas said (for example you could read most of a VN and drop it halfway since you didn't like it, the same we all do with anime.)

  11. Deardrops is quite likely the worst VN I have ever played. Wait, scratch that. EVERYTHING from Overdrive is quite possible the worst VNs I have ever played.

With the exception of Dengeki Stryker, Overdrive titles are terrible. It's like watching 30+ hour low budget, soap opera episodes.

  12. This season looks quite bleak so I can't say I'm excited about any shows save for Owarimonogatari.

That said, this weekend I turned off my brain and approached a couple of shows with an open mind

    and boatloads of patience.

    So far I've watched:  Asterisk

                                     Magical Knight

I'm saving Monogatari for tonight :P

Both of those fantasy school setting shows are so generic and bland that it hurts, not to mention the MC

might as well be the exact same person in both of them. Luckily, Asterisk has a sizeable budget and very

cute girls and Magic Knight has pretty good action sequences and reverse groping! XD

At the very least they did not fail to entertain, but that's just me.

  13. I bought Dark Souls recently. I'm quite green (just killed Taurus) and yeah the game is indeed a modern classic. It's hard but in a good way. It lets you learn from your mistakes and 99.9% of the time deaths are your own fault.

I still don't think the game is that unforgiving but I'm sure I'll feel it soon enough when I get to the later bosses and the elite mooks. I'm pretty sure those thousands of hours in Monster Hunter really helped. Tough games are fun if the challenge is well planned instead of just adding fake, cheap difficulty. This is why I love DS, it's tough but fun.

  14. At this point us hardcore(whiny) fans don't really care how we get kizu. The fact that we're getting it at all is what matters XD

I know it's sad but that's how it is. And yeah, they're milking it because well...there's little left to adapt. (2 books I think?)
