It's a funny coincidence that I encountered such scenes just yesterday, while reading : 11eyes -Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shoujo-
The VN is wonderful so far (not like the anime, which was pretty bad).
I encountered the scenes after around 35 hours of playing...

I finished Higurashi and I really liked it. I can understand why people love it so much.
Now my random number generator says that I have to start reading Grisaia no Kajitsu and Never7 -the end of infinity-
I'm particularly excited about Never7, because I quite liked Ever17 -the out of infinity-

Aye, she definitely has a very specific sound/vibe she's going for, but I found it admirable how much it stands out when even the better parts of Japanese indie pop are usually very samey. The sound and her whisper-singing could be annoying to some ears, but it's surprisingly skillful for someone this young.

There's a freely-available amateur VN that seems to "borrow" music from other sources including anime and other VNs and, while I've been able to identify all of the other songs used in this aforementioned amateur VN, this one song has alluded me even when trying to use reverse music search, so I figured I'd ask here and see if anybody knows of the original source of this song.

One key thing though is that the song is loopable as-is which implies to me that it was taken directly from a game or VN (though possibly still re-encoded to MP3 considering that 99.999% of PC VNs tend to use either LPCM, midi, ADPCM, OGG vorbis, or Opus) - note that I've made no alterations to the file in question (unless you count the file name being stripped out by the temporary file host that I'm using) so, yes, the metadata was indeed completely blank.


For reference, I did try asking the author/dev (it's just 1 person) of the aforementioned amateur VN but that hasn't really gotten anywhere other than learning that the author basically hates doing audio work and just leaves that stuff to the last minute, and I'm getting the impression that they don't particularly seem to keep track of what they've previously done with their audio assets when putting together a new version of their amateur VN. This also greatly implies that the song was also not edited by the author/dev which and that the seamless loop was added/edited after-the-fact, leading farther credence that the song is from a game or VN.

Oh, don't worry, he will. Multiple times. 😅

I just finished Sayonara o Oshiete ~Comment te Dire Adieu~ - The premise is great, but I found that the title is generally lacking in some areas.
My random number generator has decided that I should finally start reading Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
I'm very curious if I would really really love the series.

Finished Little Busters! : It was a pretty cool ride, but something about the ending had me feeling like something is missing.
Started ef - a fairy tale of the two. : I'm around 7 hours in and it's pretty underwhelming and generic for now.
I drop VNs very rare, but I'm thinking of dropping it if something interesing doesn't happen by the end of the first road.

So I finished MYTH a few days ago. It's kind of hard to talk about since it's one of those VNs that don't really lend themselves to being discussed in terms of superficial production values or plot consistency, kind of like SubaHibi or The Silver Case. Personally I think I liked it despite still not being able to pinpoint what it actually wants to tell its audience. I'll probably need to read it again at some point to get a better understanding.

I just finished Kara no Shoujo and I can say two things about it.
1 : Great, almost amazing, VN
2 : Absolutely awful ending. I'm very dissapointed.

I just realised about two very famous VNs which have endings in which the protagonist becomes a father, for the purpose of not spoiling I will say that both of them are in my VNDB list. One of them doesn't even have an H-scene .
I have rated one of them with 10 and the other with 9.3.

I think that the old VN Three Sisters' Story (San Shimai in japanese) had an ending where all three of the main heroines end up pregnant from the protagonist.

I was sceptical about it and I had to check my log and you're right, it took me 38 hours and 14 minutes to finish G-Senjou no Maou which should fall in the Long category.
P.S. : My log refers to that I have a neatly organised and precise text file about every VN that I play and I record how much time I have played on which day.

I'm not sure if I can put what I want to put in the title, so I'll say it here. I recently finished G-senjou no Maou and it gave me two things : A deeper love for classical music and a love for... smoking cigars.
I found it really suitable to smoke cigars while I play that novel and I picked that habit. 
I'm searching for VNs with, I don't know, similar shady atmosphere to G-senjou no Maou and certain parts of Fata morgana no Yakata.
Because it would be pretty weird, even for me, to smoke cigars while reading something like Clannad or Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~.
I'll start with Grisaia no Kajitsu, because some people say that it's the only visual novel which is somewhat close to G-senjou no Maou.
 

I'm really glad somebody remembered. I didn't give an update to that because I thought that nobody cares enough to question if I was telling the truth.
Unfortunately, I am 100% honest about everything.
It's just that I thought that the lawsuit would end sooner, but things were going slowly. 
The last process in court (I don't know how to call it in english) was just two days ago, and since 12.12.2019 the judges have a one month deadline to decide my sentence.
My lawyer is brilliant and she increased my chances for suspended sentence to around 80%, but there is still a probability of me going to prison.
Suspended sentence in my country means that if I don't do some big crime I won't go to prison.
If they decide to put me in prison, I would have to be there for atleast two years by the law of my country.

Hi, thanks for the update. And wow, I wasn't expecting this. I was sort of skeptical myself, so...
Hope everything goes well for you man. Unless you're actually an awful person and deserve the jail time. If so, then you may repent in hell (just kidding, of course, please don't take this the wrong way). Hope you find what you're looking for and manage to enjoy your remaining free time, if things happen not to go well. If they do, do enjoy yourself all the more.

Why not try the Kara no Shoujo series? Or the What a beautiful series?

From what I understand, you're talking about the third chapter in Fata Morgana, am I right? If I understand correctly what you're asking for, then the two VNs that come to mind are Rose Guns Days (only played the first two episodes myself, but they were pretty good), and, I guess, an EVN called The Blind Griffin (but I'm not exactly sure of how good it is since I only played it for 20-30 minutes).
Edit. Though these two might be a bit more light-hearted than Fata Moragana and G-Senjou, I guess. I can't say for sure about RGD, it's been a very long time since I played it.

I finally got around to reading Euphoria last week, finished it up yesterday.  I went in expecting some mediocre saw rip off that wouldn't have any depth past shock value, but what I got was:
Needless to say I enjoyed the novel quite a bit more than I thought I would, despite the fact I had to reread most of the boring part at the beginning for each route.  Most importantly, I can say that Euphoria has largely made me question my prejudice against nukige, as I now realize that nukige does not necessarily equate to no/bad plot.  I do have to say though that it's reputation is pretty misleading; while I certainly wouldn't describe the content as tame, considering it to be extreme is also off the mark.  Overall I'd say the transgressive content is fairly middle of the road, with some of the later scenes skewing slightly towards extreme.  Realistically, any mentally healthy adult could read this without much trouble.  What I'm really curious about though is what the checkbox for gore cgs does; as far as I could tell none of the cgs contained gore, so I'm curious what this option actually changes (blood perhaps?)  Regardless, I'm glad I stopped passing on this novel due to my preconceived notions of it as Euphoria rose above all others like it that I've read.
 

I want to warn everyone who thinks about putting some VN OST as a wake up alarm - It isn't safe.
For a long time I have been waking up with my favourite VN music, but I was devastated when my alarm rang yesterday.
I had a dream about the cutest and most innocent girl I have ever met (much like Nagisa from Clannad).
I met her about 9 years ago (year 2010), but I was separated from her a year after (and never saw her again), due to my family moving to another city. 
Not telling her how I feel is the single biggest regret of my life. (among many others) Some 3 or 4 years after being separated from her I realised that she liked me too.
It's been more than 2 years since I last thought about her, but she came in my dream yesterday and then my alarm, (the song "Nagisa" from Clannad) played and I was still dreaming.
Now my dream had that wonderful tear inducing OST and the girl in my dream just got further and further away with that OST in the background. 
I screamed her name, but she kept getting further and further away.
At the end she disappeared, I woke up, the Nagisa song was still playing and that was the second saddest thing I have experienced. I was devastated for around 5 minutes.
Then I decided to search for her profile on Facebook to see if she is doing well. I found her profile and I saw many photos in which she seems to be happy.
Then I saw photos of her with a man who is apparently her boyfriend and in that moment, for the first time in my life, I felt that my heart had truly shattered.
That was the saddest thing I have ever experienced.
I am happy for her though.
Moral of the story : If you don't want to destroy yourself - DON'T SET VN OST MUSIC AS AN ALARM!!!
P.S. : It's been around 32 hours since then, but I haven't recovered yet, so bear in mind that I wrote that post under that influence.
