  1. Ah, yes, that would be nice too - I love those cute "after-scenes" whenever they're present. Unfortunately, AFAIR, no such scenes in original version either
  2. I think different writer may be main cause. Also, those two routes are more on the bland side, and thus maybe writer was more relying on h-scenes to spice things up. If sex scenes are important to you, then yes, you have to wait. I think they're not worth it, but to each their own. And it's not that I'm anti-H. H-scenes were important for Konosora, and it wouldn't be as good without them. I also really enjoyed ero-scenes in recently read Koiiro and some other games, but in Miagete they (at least half of them) felt somewhat forced, and their placement was odd at times. Actually, yes. It is worth noticing, that the route implies that they have sex at least twice - just the intercourse itself isn't shown, but I'm fine with this. If there were two h-scenes, in places where it is implied in all-ages version (when they return home from the railcar, and after their argument in Akito's room) it would be perfect, but the actual placement and number of scenes in +18 version disrupted the flow of the story for me. But yeah, it could use some h-scenes, just not as much as they actually made Yeah, I agree. Drama was little over-the-top, but I still enjoyed it.
  3. IMHHW is unreadable without patch, that's for sure. I also rated it higher than Miagete, but that was because side routes in Miagete (Orihime and Korona) were weak for me - but I loved Hikari's and Saya's. And yeah, music is great in both VNs. The only differences: - in hot spring scene in common route girls would have nipples - SD CG in the same scene would be shot from different angle, with Akito's, ekhm, "rocket" visible - you get 4-5 H-scenes of various quality per heroine Whether that would make it better or not is up to you
  4. It gets better ep after ep I'm after Ep 13, and now Kyoko has a rival too. Kozue-chan is lovely. Godai (MC) got better than in the first few episodes too. OTOH we were able to see some not-so-pretty sides of Kyoko's character. Also, I think I'm getting used to the pace of this show.
  5. I'm still buying tons of CDs - recently I completed Anri Kumaki's album collection. I'm surprised myself, but I love every single song from each of these 12 records. She's A M A Z I N G.
  6. So I started Maison Ikkoku. It is indeed slow, but after 2 episodes I'm already in love with Kyoko Protagonist looks completely hopeless - just like me (That's why I never complained about protags like Yuuma from Hatsukoi 1/1 or Takaaki from ToHeart2 )
  7. They exaggerate, and Maya's route is good. There is nothing close to NTR in this VN at all.
  8. If one is unsatisfied about pairing chosen by scenario writer, VN comes to the rescue - it has endings/routes for all girls
  9. Yeah, found it, and while searching for it, I stumbled upon your mention of Ranma1/2, which also looks like funny thing to watch - on the list it goes
  10. Well, with so many episodes no wonder it's slow But slow pace in itself isn't a problem for me, so maybe I'll go with it now - especially since you say that ending is great. I've made it through 200 episodes of "Sailor Moon" (and enjoyed it ) so 96 is nothing
  11. Ah, so that's how it is. Maybe it was "mistake" to watch such good series as one of my first But at the same time I got really curious about that "Kimi ga nozomu eien" - probably won't watch it immediately, but it sits somewhere on the list. For now I'm thinking about either "Hachimitsu to Clover" or "Maison Ikkoku". Or maybe "School Rumble"?
  12. "Rumbling Hearts" is on my romance-to-watch list. I wonder how will I find it... In the meantime I finished "Toradora!". It was amazing for me, 9/10 - it had great comedy in the first half, some drama and feels in the second, great characters, who managed to escape their stereotypes and have some nice development... really, I had nothing to complain about it and totally enjoyed it. Taiga joins my tsundere-top-list, together with Kotori Habane (Konosora) and Mirai Mochizuki Ichinose (Koiiro)
  13. Recently I cannot decide what to read next, so I'm watching anime instead
  14. Well, I tried to buy whenever possible - that means, I bought almost all of titles from my library that have official localization available (Steam, JAST, MG) - even some titles that I read previously as pirated versions (like PE or SakuSaku). Then I also bought JP DL version of One ~Kagayaku no kisetsu e~ to apply EN patch (as it was available and reasonably priced). Steam: JAST: MG: Other: Physical versions are no-go for me as I don't have space for them, so for titles that don't have official translation or DL version easily available I had to shamefuly sail seven seas and walk the plank... (or, in case of really ancient ones, download them from abandonware sites - as was the case with mid '90s titles, like True Love, Sakura no Kisetsu DOS version or Nocturnal Illusion) Recently I tried to buy Koichoco, but when I saw the price at DMM, I ran away screaming....
  15. I liked Miagete, have been waiting for some time for Sekai to fix Hoshimemo (still waiting ) , so I really look forward to this project
  16. Aaaand... I started watching Toradora. It's great (I'm after two episodes now). While watching I thought - "Well, that would make nice VN, wouldn't it?" And there actually is Toradora VN, but sadly it's PSP only, while I'm on PC. Emulators, here I come...
  17. I just finished "Slayers". Now I'm in the mood for some school romcom, so probably next will be either Toradora or School Rumble.
  18. I think my favourite routes in Kanon were the ones I played first and last - Nayuki and Ayu. But other three were good too. And to think that back in April I sweared that I definitely won't read AIR or Kanon due to their character art style Guess I got gradually used to it via LB! and Clannad, and so then not only was I able to enjoy AIR and Kanon, but One too. Well, life is full of surprises Now, what to read next...? @snowbell55 - when you get to the Koiiro, write your impressions in this thread, I'm really curious how will you find it.
  19. You're welcome Actually, I just accidentally stumbled upon it by browsing all translated releases on VNDB. Haven't heard of it before.
  20. I just finished a rather obscure moege, Koiiro Chu! Lips, and have to admit - it was nice. After reading discussions over at vndb forums I was worried, but, as it turned out - needlessly. True, the game is built around popular tropes, but it is executed nicely, characters are likeable, and I haven't got to the point of being tired/bored by those tropes yet Setup is little similar to what we'll later see in SakuSaku, the main difference being that Karen is honest Cupid, and not loli shinigami dreaming of changing her occupation Game uses "anime-format", similar to Heart de Roommate, complete with episodes, previews, eye-catcher screen in the middle, etc.etc. However, playing OP and ED for each episode was little too much. So, overally it was nice, but I think HdR executed it better. Common route does good job at presenting all characters, and there are lots of funny bits in there as well. I liked the SD CG's very much. It would be nice, if there was a route for Rinka (iinchou), as she seems to be nice girl too, but well, can't have it all... As for routes, I started with Karen It was nice love story, I really liked Karen in it, and how the whole story unfolded. There were some tear-jerking moments near the end too. Next was Shizuku-sensei This route was very good too, with many funny as well as romantic moments. There is also nice plot twist, with Shizuku being actually There were also some nice thoughts about relationships in general thrown into dialogues. And dialogues between Karen and Mei in previews for this route's "episodes" were absolutely brilliant, the best in the whole game. After that I went onto Misaki's route While Misaki herself was sweet, her route felt little bland, despite writer's effort to spice things up using Yuu It wasn't bad, but in terms of "how much did it move me", it was the weakest. Then, Nagisa: I found her rather annoying in common route, but her route surprised me, as I got to really like and care for her. Also, this route gives off some KEY vibes near the end And finally, the highlight of the whole game, and the "true" or main heroine - Mirai Man, I have soft spot for tsundere and osananajimi heroines, and here it was done really well. That route hit me hard in the feels many times - even in supposedly mundane moments. Mirai is great, as far as tsunderes go, she's for me right up there with Kotori Habane from Konosora (well, maybe slightly behind, Kotori being still my best girl ). Truly great route, I'm glad that I saved it for the end. I really liked the way H-scenes were handled in this game. If I have any fetish, it would be vanilla And the scenes in Koiiro are great, clearly of the "making love" rather than "fucking" kind, filled with some sweet (and sometimes even tear-jerking) dialogues. This is one of those games that wouldn't do well as all-ages title, at least not without some serious rewriting to show all that affection in some different way. Graphics and music were good, nothing to complain about. Translation is rather on the "liberal" side. Something like Fureraba, but with some meme references/4chan speak thrown in. It works surprisingly well, and it's mostly done with comedic bits. Serious moments are serious, just as they should. There are many typos, but besides that, it's good. So, overally, I think it deserves something around 7.5/10 Quite enjoyable experience, if you're not totally anti-moege, give it a try.
  21. When I was reading it, I started with Ai, as her route progresses most naturally from common - to get onto other routes, you have to actively reject her. But I actually liked all 3 main routes (Ai, Maki and Renna). Good luck
